Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.
Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.
They moved our table... toilets were disgustingly dirty.... service was awful.... sent back our food several times as it was freezing cold... all round disaster. What a shame.
The service was very good, but most of the food just not that good as we expected.
Normally I love going here, but this visit was a shambles. It took 50 minutes to get a drink. Service was Terrible. They overcharged us on the bill.
The food was amazing and well priced. It’s a cute spot for catch ups.
Only negative I would say are the cocktails, we ordered two pornstar martinis and they were really poorly made. The drink was separating and very weak. It was a big disappointment, other then that it was a great experience.
I had a terrible experience at Yauatcha , even the nice food couldn’t make up for it. The service I received was extremely poor and the way I treated simply unfair. I eat at Michelin star restaurants regularly and have never been mistreated as I was on Monday. I booked a standard seated table and was placed on a bar type table without being given a reason as to why. I confronted the woman who was in charge of the tables and politely asked for an explanation and a reason, she responded to me with a very argumentative tone and was not interested in what I had to say and told me if I waited for a table it could be up to 30 minutes and I may not even be able to order food. Luckily I noticed someone leaving and pointed it out to my waitor and he kindly moved me. The glasses that my water was served in were not washed properly and I will attach an image showing this. I will never visit this particular Yauatcha again.
Amazing dim sum as always. Highly recommend. Roll on the end of lockdown!
I had a delicious lunch and remembered how great the dim sum at Yauatcha are! perfect weekend lunch/brunch escape
Really lovely evening staff were fantastic. Especially as we had a dietary requirement. Brilliant
Food 10 out of 10
Location a little hard to find
Service very good
We love it here, a great place to go with friends to eat and catch up. The food is delicious as are the pornstar martini.
Very slow to bring our champagne to start with and asked 3 times if we wanted it ?! Dined on the £42 pp menu but everything had an additional charge. However , the food was faultless as always so a super luncheon.
Thank you Yauatcha City, very attentive service and will be back!
Food was nice but came cold. Quite overpriced.
great service, I don't think I asked the waiter's name but he was really pleasant. The food is always good it never fails. Tried the little desserts for the first time which were also great. Only slight criticism I would have would be the club music playing, would be better with the volume a little lower especially as we were sitting outside to be able to talk a little more. Apart from that though everything was great will be back
Table booked for 6.30. Lovely polite greeting by staff. Very attentive especially the young man who served us,(I didn't get his name)
Starters were amazing, mains and cocktails were EVERYTHING!!!!
Deserts absolutely tiny but we loved it anyway. Beautiful experience. Thank you for making my hubby's Birthday Special.
Would have loved for there to be a wider range of deserts as I have allergies and there was only one option for me.
After being shown to a poor table on the inside we eventually sat on a nice heated table on the terrace which was very nice
The food was amazing, as usual.
However the staff were rude.
We asked if there was a closet to hang our coats and jackets and was told no. Later finding out as we exited the restaurant, there was a coat closet at the entrance.
We are in a pandemic, restaurants need all the help they can get. We love to support businesses during this time. Being met with such hostility, made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I doubt I will be returning to this location again.
food ticket was misplaced after we had received three out of five dishes, service was inconsistent. we booked an earlier table due to the curfew and still ended up having to rush our dinner and leave before dessert as it was nearing 10pm
Delicious wagyu beef puffs, dim sum very good. Amazing cocktails !! My favourite was the Yau Espresso Martini !!!
Food was very good as always however I was disappointed to see that tables were not properly distanced from one another given the current situation. We had people sitting next to us at what appeared to be less than 2m. The restaurant was very busy at peak time with no open windows for ventilation.
Great food, service was a bit slow, overall nice ambiance and evening
For a relatively expensive restaurant with a good reputation I was expecting a lot lot more. The service was really quite bad, from the minute you walk in downstairs until when you leave. Dim sum was good but the rest of the dishes were really quite standard at best. For £80 a head you can do a lot lot better in London.
To be fair I visited with the 10pm curfew so I appreciate there are many more pressures on restaurants now.
Lovely service, impeccable food. It's not the cheapest meal you'll get but given the attention to detail and preparation, it merits the cost.
all ok. food tasted good, presentation poor, ambience zero
Great Yum Cha style menu, best I have encountered so far in London. Great food, but was more expensive than I thought it needed to be. Staff and Venue were also great.
Great food as always but seated next to the terrace on a cold evening and the door left open, which was uncomfortably cold. Very boisterous crowd.
Overwhelming number of set menus to find the one we went for over half of the items listed came at a surplus charge. Food was hit and miss - dim sum was great but egg fried rice was bland and hand pulled noodles overbearing like chow mein x1000. Dessert was smaller than my thumb. Cocktails were fantastic though and sake was good value. No social distancing between tables however. Was sat down and told we had 1.5hrs at the table to be given the bill 20 mins before and asked for cloakroom items swiftly after. Had a great experience here before but may reconsider another visit given the amount you spend here.
Have always loved this restaurant. But this time round it felt a little stale and not so accommodating. Obviously with everything going on, it is hard. But this is a high end restaurant with prices that reflect. Just didn’t feel it this time
Celebrated my birthday and I had a great time - restaurant was clean and followed all Covid guidelines my guest were happy
Food was delicious would visit again for a special occasion
Our waiter was most unhelpful and was about to refuse serving dessert claiming we hadn’t ordered it although we placed our order at the start of the meal. After we complained to the Manager it turned out that two glasses were still left in our bottle of wine which he hadn’t bothered to pour as he was keener on settling the bill. The Manager was very helpful.
Great venue, albeit service tends to be a bit slow at peak times and junior service staff is no too familiar with bespoke requests for drinks.
Excellent place as usual
Highly recommended for special occasions
It’s the best dim sum in town! But it really is expensive! Have noticed they have inflated their prices!
Great service and food. Very spacious and all staff are very professional.
Food was amazing and excellent environment. Staff were very helpful.
Food - average. Service - poor. Front of house - dire.
Very busy so service took a while. Nice food but slightly overpriced. Loud people disturbed the ambiance as the tables were close together.
