Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.
Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

Lovely surroundings and amazing food plenty of it the staff were very friendly and attentive, we will defo revisit
Tasty cheung fun!!! The best dimsum after lock down :) And easy service.
As ever, the food was excellent. However, the service was not fantastic. There appeared to not be enough waiting staff (accepting that due to social distancing there are less customers, so less staff required) and the tablet-based ordering system used by the staff appeared to keep crashing.
Not totally sure the use of a QR reader in the middle of the table to scan and then use your own phone totally works (phone screen very small and a bit of a faff to go back and forward between the multiple menu pages). Instead, disposable paper menus would work better.
I felt very safe, social distancing was observed, staff all had on face mask. Food was great
SUPER BAD service. I don't think the customer should pay the 14% service charge accordingly.
The lunch deal advertised was fairly misleading as most items require adding a sur charge which add up to be quite a lot over the original cost.
Food was good though in all fairness.
We love the food in Yauatcha, service was a little slow at times, overall we had a great meal.
However at this current time we were not happy about 9 people on the table next to us.
Came here for my birthday meal, had such a lovely time, food is outstanding service was very good
Fantastic evening, divine food. Great service. Definitely recommend.
Went there - they allow drunk people /college students in causing lines table wasn’t ready for 15 mins- lines at the desk- when we were seated no one came to us to take a drink order for 35 mins - requested time leave due to poor service- pathetic from the people there on this day. Ruining the hakassan brand image.
Good service and food Good although duck was a little dry. And since when was service charge 14% optional I know but always difficult to dispute when already added to the bill.
The selection you get for the actual offer is very limited. The dim sum is definitely better than everything else.
Great food and great service. The only thing I’d recommend is to limit smoking for the time being. We were seated outdoors and that was great, all tables socially distanced etc, but a group then came near us by the balcony to smoke, blowing smoke in our direction. Considering the current coronavirus situation this was a bit annoying and potentially dangerous.
Prior to lockdown I used to visit yautcha at least once a month I love it here !!! Nothing has changed everything is just the way it was including the atmosphere . For a Tuesday night it was lively and they are adhering to the social distancing rules - service was top notch as always
Delicious food. All the flavours and very filling. Great portions and great service.
First time at this restaurant and the food was superb as was the service. Ambience quiet but down to the current Covid 19 situation so didnt expect anything else !
Service was poor..
We asked water but no one served.
Food was amazing.
we definitely expected more from this restaurant. Again, Disappointed at service standards.
Be mindful that they charge 14% service fees nowadays due to covid. This is on top of already expensive menu. The set menu is not truly "set". You typically have to pay quite a lot of extra money to get the good ones.
While the Dim sum And cocktails were as good as it always is I thought some of the mains weren’t as good as usual. This may be down to circumstances around COVID, but I didn’t think quality is what it was and given this isn’t a cheap restaurant it has to be right every time. Service was also patchy.
Very enjoyable evening, with excellent food
Food was excellent as always but the service was disappointing, with things out of order, lack of consistency on the experience - I understand things are getting back up to speed but the experience was disappointing
this restaurant is amazing with a lot of choice. Too much actually too difficult to choose.
Disappointing. Waiter did not seem interested/motivated/helpful. Did not know what ingredients were in the dishes. Accepts booking with children/infants but does not provide high chairs despite having a baby changing room.
Food was actually very good but the poor service really let it down.
Brilliant service. Great location. Slightly limited on veggie options.
The food was tasty but quite expensive for the portion size. Unfortunately the service was poor - it was difficult to get the waiter's attention at all points during the evening.
Great food. I was disappointed that the staff were not wearing masks. The experience would have been much more relaxing if there were. Having waiters talking over you and lean over to put food down without masks is quite worrying. Overall great experience but would have preferred better safety measures in place.
We were concerned that no waiting staff wore any masks and we would therefore not recommend at risk groups visit the restaurant. It did make us concerned about safety as we had elderly (93 years old) parents with us.
Excellent meal fully up to my expectations. Very pleasant environment and ambience. It was a birthday meal. Was in Fortnum when they knew it was a birthday occasion, a piece of cake and candle appeared towards the end. Maybe Yauatcha could do something, such as a complimentary drink. We spent over £500 on the two of us, was a special meal, perhaps something complementary might have been offered? The waiters/manager didn’t ask any questions to pick up the vibe.
Was all fine.
I am normally a big Yauatcha fan; we therefore thought to support them when they opened and were really looking forward to our visit. However, while the seafood was excellent as usual there was very little choice when it came to vegetarian and when we asked for some variation there was no flexibility and we were told that ‘both the manager and the chef would be unhappy about any changes’ (we asked for additional peanuts which were on some dishes and were told there were none, there was no tofu even though it was listed on the menu etc.). It was basically different versions of cooking the same mushrooms and expensive fried rice. With the additional 14 percent service charge we were made feel we were doing them an honor by eating there rather than being customers; especially our main waiter was rather unfriendly and pouty - not the usual excellent friendly service. It was supposed to be a culinary and sensual highlight which it what it normally is but it was rather an expensive disappointment.
It was soooo so lovely to eat fabulous food again at one of my favourite restaurants after so many months at home. It was a real treat. We were there as a party of 6 family members. Everyone, particularly the managers on Sunday were so friendly. The service from Francesco was perfect, the food was superb as always, and all of the social distancing rules had been adhered to. I felt very safe and cared for. Thank you.
Excellent food. Great to be back!
Best Cheung Fun and best Sweet and Sour pork I have ever tasted. Great dim sum too.
Very attentive service and great ambience on the terrace. Nothing was too much trouble.
Food wasn’t hot when served. Some of it was sent back.
Dreadful service as always. I come there since 5 years and they still didn’t notice that. You order a bottle of sake, they forget to serve it to you. Why exactly did you pay 50 for a bottle? After you finish food they say, oh, you still have half a bottle. Food comes slowly for group of 4. The manager comes every time to apologize and push some sweets on you even after you said explicitly you don’t want it. They just badly don’t want to take anything off the bill given how bad the service is they would need to give up half or their revenue.
Last time they gave me a wrong bill three times
The time before they served main course in different time and said it’s because they have two kitchens as it was something we cared for.
I brought so many new clients there. It this must stop, I don’t feel like being ashamed of places I invite people to.
The service is really nice and polite, they are very attentive. However, I found it overprice for what it is. We tried the selection of dumplings, which were average. My favorite dish was probably the half fried crab but even that I found overpriced. The restaurant itself is in the middle of a square surrounded by offices so it's also not a nice locations, a very cold atmosphere. The only good think was the service.
