Everything was great. Nice food and cocktails.. service was so and so but overall a good experience!
Great food and service as always, but the music got progressively louder during the evening. If you're looking for an audible conversation it may be wise not going on a Friday night!
Celebrating my sister birthday and we went for the supreme set menu. Absolutely worth the money. We thought the portions will be just enough but we left with no room in our tummy as we cannot stop eating. All items of food cooked to perfection
Great food, good service, very nice time!
So I have been going to Yauatcha for well over 12 years and this was a pretty disappointing visit. Table service super slow, asked for drinks menu and was given food menus and then ignored. Food was OK but pretty warm and not up the usual good standard. A table fo 6 next to us seemed to have similar problems and spent the night complaining! Obviously it’s Christmas but I don’t think that’s an excuse when dinner for two and a bottle of wine cost us £300 I expected much better. Unlikely to return :-(
I been going to Yauatcha since opening but not good anymore
I had two people with me who had never been and they were astounded by how good the food was.
Both complained at how it was too noisy (music wise) to have a conversation with each other easily.
Also, the service was attentive but some things took too long; for instance, getting the bill.
Excellent dim sum and main dishes.
Table too small for 4 ( my kids eat more than me so needed more space)
Meet & greet need to be more welcoming , but I enjoy coming here for the food not the welcome.
The best place for Asian food in London. Delicious! We will be back, again and again!
Every time we go to this restaurant there is never any way to have a table on the ground floor but always in the basement. I waited more than 10 minutes even though I booked. The place is a little confusing but overall very suggestive the food is good and the service very attentive.
I've been to Yauatcha quite a few times. It is not a cheap option but it is, in my opinion, simply the best dim sum in London. The service is normally very good too although unfortunately on my most recent trip it was a bit under par.
Customer service was awful, miserable staff, couldn’t order for a long time and totally forgotten about with drinks and the bill. Very disappointed.
The cuisine, the ambiance & service is great. Everything is perfect
While it was was a truly unique Dim Sum eating experience, Management must be mindful that this is against the background of similar traditional food offerings in the SOHO area, which are at very competitive prices.
The food was delicious as always. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The check in took 20 minutes and by the time we arrived, the hostess said we were late and we might not have a table. It was solved in the end but she was very rude.
Waiters were a bit overwhelmed that night too.
We were seated 45mins after our actual reservation. We were told we’d have a “lovey table” which turned out to be right next to the cashier.
We asked to order and the waiter said “yeah”, but then walked away and didn’t come back.
When we had finished eating, we asked for the plates to be cleared and were told “later”.
The wait staff massively let down the good food.
great service, very good food but a bit too loud, both for house music and customers talking.
Terrible experience. Shocking service and half the food we ordered wasn't delivered. Having previously ate here I was seriously disappointed.
Love this place, cocktails are yum, warm sake was delious and the quick chat with Dev Patel was hilarious.
Been coming to Yauatcha for years and the food is great. But this time the service was very poor. We sat 1 hour waiting for someone to clear our table and to order dessert, but after the wait we decided to pay and leave instead.
Very dissatisfied, started badly as the greeter was unwelcoming not friendly and very curt yes it was busy but this is no excuse , the food took along time to arrive , our chicken dish was cold and we sent it back we then had to wait along time and had to ask the waiter to chase it up , the wait staff again were not polite or interested in offering even a moderate level of customer service, we were made to feel like we were interrupting their day I would not recommend this one to anyone. The Liverpool st one is so much nicer.
The worst restraunt
We had an outstanding meal with fantastic service! The choice of veggie and vegan food was the best I have had at a dim sum restaurant and the quality was excellent. Our waitress was professional, knowledgeable and very friendly and really made the whole experience!
Food was perfect as usual. Music was a bit loud so people needed to speak quite louder. Service was nice.
The service was terrible and this really ruined the experience. Waiter seemed amateurish, rushed, and unfocussed. We had to ask several times for our drinks. I had to beg another waitress to take our order. Staff totally disinterested and unfriendly. At the end had to ask 3 times for the bill. When it finally came, had to wait another 10 minutes till they came to get my payment, and another 10 minutes till i got my change. Will not be back.
We really enjoyed our visit to
Yuatcha, the staff made our experience really enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble. The food was outstanding and we didn't have to wait long at all. We look forward to visiting again. THANKYOU
Horrible music/muzak lots of noise. Chairs and table not suited for people!
Food was fantastic. But never again!
Terrible, confusing service - food good but overpriced. Weird music - the restaurant feels stuck in 2005.
It’s like they just weren’t really trying. Nice but nothing good enough to make the review any better
I haven’t been here for a while but I came with colleagues for a lunch and I have to say the food was still as great as I remember it but I was surprised and disappointed at how the service wasn’t up to scratch. Took ages and frequent requests to get our order taken and we were ignored a bit! Not impressed especially as I was hosting an important client meeting. Wouldn’t risk bringing clients again!
We arrived at 9.25pm for our 9.30pm reservation. After asking a waitress where our tables was we weren't shown to our table until gone 10pm. We then waited another half an hour for our food. This meant we then missed our booking at ECC and this spoilt our evening.
That said the food was fabulous, we could not fault the food. Will go again as long as they tighten up their service.
Great food but a-bit on the expensive side
Arranged a table of 5 with a group of friends. Upon arrival, ordered drinks which took over 15 minutes to arrive, we had to ask twice to see if they were coming. Food ordered, the set menu meal that 2 of us ordered took 1h 45 mins for the final dish to arrive! 3 of us had finished eating nearly an hour prior. Really poor service. Male toilets also overflooding, really poor.
Service is getting so rough and even though I come back quite often I've never gotten a nice table - always just in front of kitchen or just next to checkstand etc
Overall the food was very good as usual however, the rice was brought to our table over 10 minutes before the main courses came out.
This resulted in the rice becoming cold and us having to ask them to replace it.
Chinese fashion food is so impressive. The dessert is very delicious and have a lot of choices. Shrimp funko is so tasty. But the space between the table is too small for fine dining.
Food high quality particularly the dimsum. Service was atrocious. I ordered Singapore vermicelli and crispy spicy squid which I had to chase up twice. It took an hour to be served. The noodles were tepid. This is my ‘go to’ for dimsum in London. I’ll have to think twice in future. Shame. Over priced, disappointing and, I sense, new staffing maybe. They should not charge for more green tea also.
Really good food and the staff was very friendly. Definitely worth trying a tasting menu.
Having been several times before, we made the mistake of ordering the Festive Dim Sum menu rather than usual a la carte.
Mainly good , but spoiled by baby pak choi and mushroom noodles ( which are not DimSum) accompaniments arriving afyer all the other courses and so not being either required or welcome. When queried, staff said menu arrived in order stated and not according to what was appropriate. Unacceptable.
