Lots of dishes not available
Not the table i asked for
I didnt enjoy the experience at all. Food didnt worth the price and was cold and the service was not good: we got a horrible table, the waiter didnt remember to add the candle in the dessert (it was a birthday dinner)...In addition we have to deal with several conflicts in the gable next to us between customers and waiters...very disapointing.
Appalling service. I got my main course, my friend got her rice and then she was waiting more than 15 mins for her curry! No apology or explanation - we kept asking staff and were dismissed every time. Not what you would expect in a Michelin started restaurant. Would not go back.
YAUATCHA IS ONE OF MY MOST FREQUENTED RESTAURANTS. THE FOOD IS ALWAYS EXCELLENT. I WAS VERY HAPPY TO SEE MORE VEGAN DISHES AND A VEGAN SET MEAL. WILL COME BACK MANY TIMES MORE.
Excellent food and great place to meet up with friends. Visiting London from Los Angeles and will visit again on my next trip.
Great place, amazing and delicious food for everyone (vegetarian, vegan and normal food), lovely service, I recommend this place and I will go back.
The service was appalling. I arrived for noon booking and told they weren’t open and I should wait outside as staff were in a meeting and they should have licked the door!
I had to request to see lunch menu only given a la Carte menu Had to beg fir the bill never cleared away plates a total mess! I don’t know what was going on but it was a very poor experience. And expensive at that certainly not for a business lunch when you’re unlikely to want to kick up a fuss
Great food - a little on the pricey side.
Much prefer the downstairs area
Service was a bit slow and while we were asked to order more drinks several times, we had to keep asking for tap water to be brought to the table. Food very good though and the set menu is great value. Venison puff and mushroom roll dim sum are to die for!
The food was excellent . However, the ribeye in blackbean sauce was extremely salty and def not worth the money
Not usually a restaurant I would get to but glad my client suggested it as the food was outstanding and wish I had tried more options. I found it pretty expensive but it is London so not surprising. Would definitely go back for a special occasion. Thanks for having me
We arrived at 9pm for a reservation at 9pm but did not get a table until 9.30pm. Asked to wait in the bar, we ordered a bottle of wine were and then kept waiting while the barman said the bottle was being fetched from downstairs - only for him to take it from the fridge 2 feet behind him after we had waited 10 minutes.
Great food, nice atmosphere but had to move table from the nicer area of the restaurant to one at the foot of the stairs as the air conditioning made it too cold. This new table was not in such a nice location and atmosphere was slightly ruined as a result. Service was really good previous times I've been but was a bit slow this time.
A fantastic meal .great table in ground floor .lovely we where not rushed .will go again great fun
Slow service, inattentive
Left with bad stomach the next day
BEST Restaurant in London.
We came back for our 5th anniversary and Yauatcha did not disappoint. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a spot for date night. I haven't been in almost 3 year besides last weekend and I will continue to still rave about it. Now living in london instead of visiting I will recommend it to anyone.
Such a treat, thank you to Yauatcha for such a fabulous ambiance.
Cannot fault this restaurant
We always come to Yauatcha as a family when they visit the UK.
We now have a little boy and I wish yauatcha could consider having high chairs at least during the day , on the weekend at leaast, which is when we made the booking for. The team have been considerate to change our table, and allow us to have a seat with the sofa.
Other than that, we still love the food very much and hope to come back as a family again.
Food was amazing. Service was a bit too slow for non food items like drinks
Best part is the food - so reliably delicious, thank you! Service extremely civilised and friendly. Staff went out of their way to accommodate our demanding guests issues and requests.
I had a lovely greeting at reception by a young gentleman called Vuko. The food was amazing!
With high expectations we were a little disappointed with the restaurant.
The service particularly was very poor. After a long wait to order and receive our first dishes the dishes arrived in a very haphazard manner with long waits between individual dim sum dishes. It almost seemed that we had been forgotten at times as looking around, other tables seemed to be getting their dishes served together.
The food generally was good at at the upper end of dim sum we have had in the past. However the wagyu and venison puffs were disappointing and the chilli squid was partially cold and thus chewy when it arrived. We did send it back but when a replacement dish arrived it was actually worse and had to be rejected again. Surely after an initial mistake it should be a priority to get a dish served properly at the second time of asking.
All in all this could be an amazing dining experience but the service and attention to detail really needs to be improved.
The service and the waiting time was definitelly not watching the account of what we have paid.
Way too loud
From entering to exiting, the entire staff were attentive and helpful. The food was amazing and the service quick and thoughtful. I highly recommend dining here, you won’t be disappointed.
Nice place, but the music is incredibly loud. Desserts and DImSum are the best
Food was outstanding as always, Dim Sum at a different level. Only real complaint is that they did not leave the water jug on the table and were very slow topping it up - should either be more vigilant or leave on the table.
I came on my birthday. Roshan is very nice and helpful!! Many thanks to him!!
It's always a pleasure to eat in this restaurant. The quality of cooking is unforgettable.
The service was terrible. The waiter wasn’t paying any attention when I was ordering so naturally when food arrived one of them was wrong. Asked him to get us more water and he just walked off, not until we asked him again 20 minutes later he unwillingly fetch us some more water. The food overall is ok, but seating is really tight. There were six of us and we had to sit elbow to elbow which is really uncomfortable.
Food was lovely, although just slightly overpriced for what it was. Waiters not knowing the menu. When asked what one of the dimsum’s that was put on the table was, we were told it was a venison puff. We are vegetarian so we knew it wasn’t. She had to ask someone else to check. Overall though, nice experience and would recommend
Table was not ready for 20 minutes after the time it was booked. Was told to wait for 20 minutes without receiving updates on the status of our table/reservation.
Very pleasant evening in the restaurant downstairs having chosen a tasting deal which was very interesting and plentiful.
I’ve been to Yauatcha a number of times, but wasn’t that impressed after this visit. We booked for 7pm in the bar, arrived at 7:10pm (bad London traffic), and didn’t get seated until 7:45pm downstairs, after I went and asked what was happening. The man who served us had zero personality and didn’t even give us a ‘Hello’. Won’t be going back in a hurry.
Our food was all delicious. Excellent dim-sum in a nice soho location.
Have been to the restaurant before and the food is very consistent
The food was very good and we have been really happy. Only things to improve is that we waited a lot between 1 dish and another.
An excellent restaurant let down by poor service. Had to ask for forks a couple of times, ordered 2nd pot of tea but did not arrive, waited way too long for the rib when all other dishes were eaten. They automatically add 13% onto the service bill which we should (but did not) look to retract out of the bill. The service lets down the level of food and quality of food substantially. We usually go to Royal China in Baker Street where the waiting staff are usually borderline rude (but really are just direct) but at least the service there is extremely good with great food. I think on balance Royal China is the better place for top end Chinese food. I would still recommend strongly Yauatcha for a more fine dining experience (akin to say Hakkasan) assuming service improves.
We had the set dinner for £60pp. There is an awful lot of food so make sure you haven’t eaten for days!! All of it was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, however. Service very hit and miss. One waiter was extremely good but the other people who served us ranged from useless to hassled and harried. Shame because better service would have made the experience more enjoyable. Seating not the most comfortable particularly if you’re tall.
I the food and I loved my waiter
Extremely busy, the bar area very crowded and way too noisy.Downstairs seating area quite cramped.Service friendly and efficient food very good. Only negative was that the first two wines ordered were not available
