The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.
The restaurant offers Cantonese dishes with a modern influence, with an extensive range of steamed, baked, grilled and fried dim sum such as Yauatcha’s signature dishes of Scallop shui mai and Venison puffs.
The Taste of Yauatcha menu is designed for two people to share and is offered from Monday to Thursday between 2pm and 6pm for £28.88.
Tasting menu including a cocktail £38 per person
Set tasting menu including a cocktail from Yauatcha cocktail menu.

The food is great! The service is also great!
Booked a table for 2 last night. We were seated in the basement dining area, as we descended down we felt that it was rather warm. We placed our order, as we waited we couldn't help but feel how warm the restaurant was. We enquired with the staff as to why it was so warm to be informed that the air conditioning was not working, we felt very uncomfortable as the restaurant was very busy and quite noisy. After our starter we complained once again at how uncomfortably warm it was and was moved to a table upstairs on the ground floor which was slightly better. The food was decent however all we wanted to do was get out of there as it was too uncomfortable and hence did not enjoy the experience at all. I feel we should have been informed upon arrival that the air conditioning was not working, we would then have been able to decide if we wanted to stay. All in all in a warm evening the night was spoilt. Would not come again.
One of my fav restaurant in London so far. I was absent for a while, came back, and Yauatcha remains great.
We waited more than one hour to a dish, the waiter also spill the drink by mistake on my husband clothes and we didnt get any compensation....
While it was a bit noisy, the food was incredibly good. BUT... what really pushed it over the top for us was the absolutely incredible service. I truly wish I could remember the name of our server so I could specifically identify her... she made our visit EPIC.
The main is not so impressive (the beef is a bit salty) though the desserts are highlights of the night.
The service and ambience are great as usual.
Amazing - we went to Yauatcha Soho before going to Phantom of the Opera, celebrating our wedding anniversary and the experience was fantastic.
Thank you to all the staff
Excellent as always best dim sum in London
Would highly recommend.
Food was exceptional and the service was very attentive
Very loud and overpriced, but good, food.
Very unconfortable seating for such a renown place.
First set menu was disappointing, I guess you should just go and have the dumplings off the set menu. Dumplings were good. Desserts not so much.
Restaurant is ok but would not return.
The dumplings were insanely good. I would recommend not getting the set menu and just getting lots of dumplings as they were the best part. The other aspects of the set menu were not so great. We had a nice meal however the music was SO loud that we could barely hear each other. We asked the staff to turn it down twice and they said yes but didn’t. We then spoke to the manager who initially said they couldn’t but after a while did turn the sound down on the actual speakers near our table, which made a big difference. The service for the food was impeccable.
Food excellent but indifferent verging on surly service, over hot restaurant, wobbly table and time limit on table means I wouldn't go back.
Apart from the noisy environment, it was perfect
Un de mes préférés restaurant à Londres.
Excellent dim sum and great cocktails.
Great place with fantastic dim sum and good service. We were sitting on the ground floor which nice and not as dark as downstairs. A bit too loud though
Poor value for money. Main dishes were not even close to the level expected at a very expensive restaurant.
122$ for basic dishes.
Great atmosphere, lively and great food! Staff were brilliant.
Absolutely delicious starters and mains. None of us were fans of dessert but the rest of the food more than made up for it. Great service. Delicious cocktails. Would definitely recommend as it is amazing but sit upstairs, don’t bother with pudding and expect a hefty bill.
Food was good, but noice was terrible. The servise was so so.
The food and ambience was great. But the lady servers did anything to avoid eye contact so we’d not be able to call them. We had to wait for the suited male workers (I don’t know their title) to notice us to get something.
Always a pleasure ... the good is the best in town. Love it
Waitress could not even recommend me anything. Noodles were not nice. Poor service. Disappointed with this place.
Food was good as usual and service was particularly outstanding this time!
Disappointing. Was expecting a high quality (Michelin standard) meal, but with a couple of exceptions the quality was not high. Overcooked and flavourless dim sum and uninspiring mains.
Our waitress forgot/ never really noted the Sesame seed allergy that my friend mentioned she had. We were served a dish with sesame seeds and if I had not realized this before she tried that, she would have ended up in the hospital. The food was good but this is not acceptable behavior and the waitress also did not seem to understand the gravity of the situation/ sincerely apologize after this happened.
The restaurant is so stuffy and hot . Choice on menu is very limited, especially for vegetarian.
My girlfriend and I went to Yauatcha for her 21st birthday. Inside we were kindly welcomed and guided to our table. Eventhough it was very busy the waiters were very attentive and arranged a 'Happy Birthday' platter for my girlfriend. Good service and great food.
The dum sum were outstanding with modern take on fillings and flavours including lobster and wagyu beef that melted in the mouth. The patissiserrie was also excellent and such an unusual combination. The only part that let it down was the service which was disorganised as the bar service was so slow that our food can before we had any drinks.
Simply exceptional. Food delicious, staff so attentive and pleasant. I just love eating there.
Great food and fantastic service !
It was the second time to enjoy dinner in this restaurant. My friends and I like Yauatcha Soho.Good Service! Good Food!
It was a shame we had a table of loud obnoxious Americans next to us
Which we put up with for a while and then my husband asked them up lower the volume which attracted a lot of verbal abuse
Your floor manager then asked them to reduce the volume of leave
Which they chose to do
Apart from this incident the dining experience as sual was very pleasant
State of art dim sum to die for. In huge variety of fillings. Myself and my husband truly enjoyed the dinner. However it certainly not a place for a romantic dinner as the tables are extremely close to one another, music slightly too loud and seats slightly uncomfortable. But the overall experience was very positive.
Early dinner is the way forward, i have been to this restaurant a few times, but I found the food seem to be hotter, fresher, and tastier before the busy dinner peak time. Waiting staff on the ground floor were more attentive and more engaging than those in the basement. It is easy to see why, as the basement is too packed, far too many tables and placed far too close to each other. I do wonder when will this branch make a change.
As far dim sum, despite being typical chinese food, there are lots of veggie options to choose from, and they dont disappoint. Wish there are more vegan friendly desserts tho, they look absolutely beautiful food art but the desserts just not doing enough to cater for those with special dietary requirement.
Best Dim Sum I’ve ever had...
Love the food here....
The benches in the middle of the downstairs dining room are very low backed and therefore not comfortable after a while. I will request a side bench next time.
Well worth the visit. Food exceptional and the atmosphere is great. Not one for a romantic meal for two...
