The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.
The restaurant offers Cantonese dishes with a modern influence, with an extensive range of steamed, baked, grilled and fried dim sum such as Yauatcha’s signature dishes of Scallop shui mai and Venison puffs.
The Taste of Yauatcha menu is designed for two people to share and is offered from Monday to Thursday between 2pm and 6pm for £28.88.
Friday and Saturday 12:00 to 22:30
Everything ok - crispy duck is excellent - good service and vary good value for money
delicious dim sum - very moorish. always overeat it's so good
This place was TERRIBLE! It came highly recommended, and I adore fancy Chinese food, but to me, everything was gummy feeling and tasted pretty much the same. The chairs were uncomfortable, the service was slow and inattentive. I never really knew who to ask for anything. It was never clear who my server was. I did a sake trio, and the only roughy two. To the restaurants credit, the did take the sake and the dessert off my bill. I would personally never go back.
Always the best. Food is perfect and the location is wonderful. I am always looking forward to be back in London and Yauatcha Soho as soon as possible
Great food, service not Michelin Star. Variety of fast, slow, happy and grumpy all in one hour.
this is my favourite restaurant in London, recently though the service has not been as good. The waiter forgot a drinks order and one seemed more interested in looking at his phone than serving.
Great tasting bites - perfect for sharing. Wagyu beef puffs, duck rolls and crispy squid are excellent.
i know this restorant has a unicq food but wheb we let our hostes choos fir us the menue we gor ordinery chinees food-nithing soecial. it was very disepiotment..
They tried to kick us off our table saying they had reserved it for someone else. Ultimately it turned out to be ok for us to stay.
Extraordinary Chinese food. Expensive but worth the money.
Not the best experience for our anniversary meal. Not Michelin standard.
Terrible food at an astronomical price. Should have eaten from one of the food carts along the street
It almost be my favorite restaurant in London since I really into the dim sum here and the dishes here are all tasty! Sincerely recommend the soup dumpling
We had the Taste of Yauatcha and found it to be a good value, aesthetically pleasing and delicious!
Limited days and hours.
There were flys all around the restaurant an on the food.
This place has a good vibe, very professional staff, tasty dessert. We're vegetarians and loved the mock-duck and truffle spring rolls. Has a very "hip" feel to it.
The restaurant itself looks beautiful and the service staff was friendly but the food was disappointing. We chose the Dim Sum menu - the duck salad was way too sweet, the fried squid super oily....the dessert was delicious though.
As always perfect. As per usaul this restaurant didn’t let us down, and the venison puff was amazing each and every time i’ve had it.
Fantastic food, really, really delicious and different. Went for dim sum before the theatre and ended up not going to the show as we were enjoying ourselves too much ands decided just to stay for an extra course and dessert! Highly recommended. We shall be back!
Everything was OK , staff, food the only negative point have been the noise, extremely high.
Welcome hostess was very unwelcoming and just not at all friendly. She guided us to the bar as our table was not ready yet. But there was no welcome or anything. Just a bad first impression
And in the way out not even a thank you and have a great evening from the host stand
Was charged £1 for a charity without knowing. I know it is a small amount but would be nice to be advised in advance versus being forced to donate. That should be voluntary
This is why the rating is just average
Good food but poor service. Staff instantly dismissed us as unable to afford the menu, I.e recommending the set menu 1 as it was the “cheapest”. No suggestions as to the food itself. Very corporate feel and not very attentive staff - had to ask for a drink 3 times and none was brought. We ordered most expensive set menu, spending c.£200 between two people only to be told we weren’t eating quick enough and that our time at the table was soon up (while we were eating the main course). When we asked to remove the service charge as a result the head waiter did not even ask us why/for any feedback which is very poor.
We have been eating here for more than four years. I love the fact that my favorites never disappoint. The Waygu Beef puff is to die for.
I came to have lunch alone. Because I was alone I asked to have a lunch menus but was refused. I was given an explanation that the lunch menu was for a party of two. I ended up paying 68 pounds for lunch instead of 28. Needless to say I felt very bad and feel that I was mistreated
The food was average and doesn't worth the price. Would prefer Hakkasan with better food at the same price.
The Dim Sum was delicious and the ambiance of the place was great. However, we were really let down by the service which is why my review is only 3 stars. Our server seemed annoyed to have to be serving us - he was short, dismissive and unaccommodating.
We were a group of 4 people and ordered a la carte from the Dim Sum menu. He informed us that 3 pieces came with each order. We asked if we could have 4 so each of us could try everything (and obviously we'd pay more) but he said it was not an option. 5 minutes later we saw the table next to us was receiving 4 pieces of everything. We politely pointed this out and asked why they were given the option and he said (again, seeming very annoyed) "Oh, well they ordered from the tasting menu". He didn't inform us of this when we ordered and showed zero interest in accommodating us. We were drinking water throughout the meal - the water glasses were very small and we would have to wait to have them re-filled. We asked him if we could just keep the water pitcher on the table and again, he said no. I have a hard time believing this was a restaurant policy. And if it is, it is a very unfriendly one.
Amazing, as always! Great great food! A little pricy but absolutely worth it!
Everything was great, but the food is sending out too fast.
Would have expected a little more from the standard of the food. Everything was presented nicely but lacking in flavour. However much worse was the atmosphere with very loud music. Overall impression is that of a money making machine and not necessary a culinary destination.
Extremely poor service which let down the overall experience. When we asked to remove the service charge from our bill the staff became very awkward and escalated it massively which was embarrassing and did not make up for the poor service experienced throughout.
Fantastic food as always!
This place is amazing! We really enjoyed ourselves from the United States while in London.
Very nice would like to have it again!
Service is still a bit snobby
Wonderful food and service as always from this great restaurant. Water refills could be a little more attentive but overall enjoyable visit with great presentation of the food.
Love the food and the service always with a smile and always willing to get what u want
Excellent birthday lunch. We had the lunch tasting menu and wine flight - all delicious! Would strongly recommend!
Excellent restaurant, service very polite but a bit too rushed.
Very nice food and drinks. Love the wine flight, good value for money.
Really great vegan options (all bar one of the vegetarian options were vegan/could be made vegan). Very nice and helpful staff.
