The restaurant is very beautiful and the staff very kind. The food is perfect to share and very tasty. Negative points would be the small space between the tables. Our table was in front of the staff table which was a little bit uncorfortable. Also, prices generally speaking were OK but wine was excesivelly expensive. However, the experience so far was very good.
We enjoyed the food very much.
We waited a long time to be seated.
Fast and quality service. Great food.
On that night we have a excellent service and a good meal apart of the dishes with okra, fine bean ,petai and aubergine are tasteless and vegetables still very raw feel like not cook enough time . Overall still a great meal I will come again.
Still good, but not as good as years ago. Not as tasty.
Divine as always! Love the ambience - relaxed and cool! Every mouthful is pleasurable, bursting in flavours and whilst familiar yet surprises every time. Eating consistently great food in a familiar restaurant is like turning to the warm cosiness of the blanket by your couch that you turn to...
Very noisy when fully booked - hard to have a conversation
We had a great time last Saturday at Yauatcha- the food and cocktails were fantastic. The design of the restaurant is enchanting, combining both modern and traditional Chinese elements. The service was impeccable with very friendly staff.
The only thing I would say is that it is reasonably expensive and that it can be quite noisy, because of how busy it is.
Extremely pricy, the music was too loud, to the point where it is uncomfortable to have a quiet conversation.
The desserts are the best the restaurant offers.
Great, as always!
I was meeting some vegetarian friends. The staffs were very patient and took extra care making sure about the ingredients of the food served.
My wife has a MSG intolerance and we were advised that nearly all the dishes have added MSG. The waiter though was very helpful in identifying the small number of appropriate dishes. Very noisy with guests outshouting each other.
Very special Daddy&Doughter working night out... After a very important meeting we needed to relax and enjoy our free time in London. We have been suggested to go to Yauatcha by a friend and thanked her so much. Couldn't stop having the crispy duck: it was the yummiest thing ever. Thanks to Roberta for the precious suggestion and for the exquisite service. We will come back for sure next time we'll be in London!!
Nice place with very good food and atmosphere.
Outstanding service and food. Definitely coming back
It was nice experience and Lisa who served our table was very friendly, the food was amazing and will come back again!
Efficient kitchen. Outstanding food from the chefs as usual. Shame about frontline staff.
I ordered tea and a glass of tap water. Tap water never arrived.
Food from kitchen arrived before the pickles and sauces.
Had to ask for the bill twice. Also tried catching someone’s eye to request for the bill. The girl who shows people to the tables saw me but ignored me. Got up and went to someone at the machine to request it in the end.
I had a doggie bag to take back my leftovers. Collected it at the front desk. Got given someone’s leftovers instead. I only realised it when I had left the restaurant for abt 10 minutes. Went straight back and requested for the right bag. The girl just took the bag back and handed me my correct bag. I’m slightly concerned abt this. So I could have poisoned someone’s leftovers and handed it back to the restaurant and it’d go back to the rightful owner? Not that I had done so but the current procedure/attitude of the staff leaves much to be desired. I’d rather that they give me an empty box and I pack it myself! Extremely poor shoddy service overall. Food from the kitchen was excellent though.
Yauatcha is always a good choice. If you want to get a feel for their cuisine try one of their menus, they offer a good choice of dishes. Make sure to try the venison puff, it's delicious! The bill will quickly get pricy-ish if you go for their cocktails or several drinks, but it is possible to get a great dinner for a reasonable price. One of my go-to restaurants in London!
I should first start off by saying that I prefer Yauatcha in Broadgate Circle. It has more space, feels less enclosed and tight and the service was far superior. The food at both establishments is fantastic and second to none for elegant Chinese cusine in London. The final act as well is the desserts which are sublime. Soho was a very loud and boisterous atmosphere, where Broadgate is a more elegant form of restaurant ambience. Would I visit the Soho location again, no. Would I visit the Broadgate location again, in a heartbeat yes I would.
fantastic place. I did not like that we had commercial water brought to the table without being asked if we wanted tap water. Also I find absurd paying £4.40 for 750ml of water.
Other than that I was a awesome experience.
Best dim sum in town - great selection of veg dim sum.
Good- not amazing but still good. Thought it would have been better for the prices but good service. Tables very close together and very loud!
This booking was for my daughter aged 17 and her friend as a treat after a theatre trip. The staff offered them water at the table with their food whilst they ate, but didn’t tell them it wasn’t free. At the end of the meal the bill for water was £17 which is disgraceful. For dim sum and water with service the bill came to £80.
I am a big supporter of Yauatcha and use you at least once a month between Bradwick st and City so I’m disappointed you took advantage of the girls like this
Exceptional food. Fantastic service. Busy, bustling and fun. Great location. Great looking restaurant either basement or ground. Both lovely
Very loud and food was not worth the money. Used to be an amazing location.
We were looking for a place with authentic Chinese dim sum but not in the crowded and noisy restaurants of Chinatown. Really liked this place and the service was quite good too.
Everything was perfect as always- love the Prawn and Bean Curd Chung fun, the crispy duck rolls , and the Dim Sum of course
Great food and cocktails as usual but it’s got so expensive in the last year or so. Shame as used to be our go-to family restaurant. Now it’s strictly for special occasions.
Excellent food. A bit pricey (2 people/£ 130) so not for everyday but, really, excellent food!
Really appreciated the portion sizes and attention to detail in every meal. I thought we could have used a little more guidance as far as ordering went as we under ordered, which is a first as far as Chinese food dining goes! I would love to come back now that I know how to navigate the menu! Would recommend.
Vegetarian tasting menu was amazing. Lots of variety for non meat and fish eaters and lovely service. Will be back as soon as possible!
Had been to this restaurant once before and found it a pleasant experience, this time it was very busy on a Saturday evening, and I felt the standard of service and the food suffered from this. The vegetarian menu did seem limited and the whole table were not impressed by the taste and texture of the vegetarian duck.
Always at Yauatcha‘s when visiting London from Germany!
Food was just outstanding as always! We also enjoyed the selection of chamagne and wine for a special dinner.
Very professional and outstanding nice and friendly service by „Lisa“.
Nowadays a little overcrowded.
Went here for a date with my other half, absolutely brilliant. service was amazing and food was totally delicious.
ask to be sat downstairs if on a date as the room is a lot more intimate than the upstairs one, my partned loved it too.
Can't say a bad word about this place totally reccomend it.
We went there for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. The dim sum is excellent and they have lots of vegetarian options. Service is quick and friendly.
Excellent dim sum, as always - and beautiful desserts! Yauatcha has a refined air. It is expensive but worth it in my view. It is a bit dark downstairs for a daytime meal but nice atmosphere. We will be back.
Great food. We had one of the set menus. Delicious - looked amazing and tasted wonderful. So much food! We struggled to finish everything - and then they brought out the beautiful desserts (that we'd forgotten were part of the menu).
My favourite dimsum restaurant in London. Modern pan asian dimsum. Inventive, creative, delicious. Good service, lively restaurant. Great cocktails. But really it's all about the food. Beautiful desserts too. Not cheap but very much worth it. A cut above the rest. You need to book.
Great restaurant with very good Dim Sum and desserts
