The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.

It’s been a long time since we have been to either of the Yauatcha restaurants and we were really looking forward to it. We were not disappointed - the welcome, service, food and wine were all superb. We went for the Dim Sun experience which was just right for us as we’re not the world’s biggest eaters and it includes the venison puffs which are a favourite of ours. The mix of tastes was brilliant. We won’t leave it so long this time.

Horrendous service, we were refused the request to be seated downstairs although plenty seating was available, which we saw when we used the bathroom downstairs! Starters were brought out after the mains, which was not only perplexing but of course food inevitably went cold due to this. Shocked and appalled will never return.

Been to yauatcha a few times before. And this time was for a pre theatre meal. I love the dim sum there. Food is great, so does the service. Although I don’t like the venue itself. Tables are too close together. It feels like a crowded café. I would suggest to make the toilets signs more clear. There were two men in the ladies loo and it shocked me a bit.

I really recommend yauatcha for a nice meal with really tasty food. Service was very good! Always alert but giving enough space.. The food was incredible… we start with Prawn Crakers, then Soft Shell Crab baos and Wagyu beef puff (one of the best), crispy aromatic duck that was really good and a Classic sweet and sour pork with egg fried rice to finish. What a journey!!

I used to rate this place very highly but unfortunately our experience today was poor. We waited over 15 minutes to have our initial order taken and it generally felt like we weren’t looked after very well. The food was great as always but it was marred but the long waits.

The service and food was great! The Dim Sum was some of the best I’ve had and recommend the Lobster dumplings. Also you have to try the deserts they were delicious. The staff could not have been more attentive and made sure we had a lovely time. Can’t wait to come back.

Super slow service - have been several times before and this was exceptionally slow Also one of the mains (noodles) was incorrectly prepared and had to be re made - so by the time it was brought out again, the rest of the food to eat it with had gone cold. Not the best experience we’ve had here

Another fantastic evening at Yauatcha! It actually feels like the place has improved after Covid, the crispy duck was one of the best we ever had, the wine recommendation was great, and the staff did everything to provide us with a great experience, thanks!

We have eaten at the Soho location twice, and the old Houston location numerous times, including vegan a la carte, as well as tasting menus. This trip we did the vegan tasting and the food, while always excellent, was especially brilliant, as was the service. Just absolutely fantastic from the hostess, the sommelier, the server. manager and support staff. 10/10

A very unpleasant meal, complete lack of professionalism. I was traveling alone and reserved the las time available for myself, when I arrived at the restaurant I felt they already wanted me to go away, the crew was very unpleasant and rude, although there was many other people still eating on the restaurant they looked like just wanting me to go away. I ordered my food on a rush, I all came very fast, when I was eating I lifted a dumpling from the plate and there was a human hair under it, I called the waitress, showed her and she just tried to convince me that it was a string from the banana leaf under it, I’m Brazilian, I’ve cooked many times fish on banana leaves and never found a string like that… To complete after the meal, I tried to go to the toiled but neither the normal or the disabled have paper available on them. I’ve been to many restaurants on my life, from the simplest to the fanciest, but this was the single worst experience I ever had.

The food was extremely good, although presentation was lacking. Uncomfortable seating in LG floor prevented you from putting legs comfortably under the table, distracting from the overall vibe. Music was very loud and “clubby”, making it difficult to hear the wait staff/your party. Whilst I had anticipated the cost of the meal, when combined with the presentation/seating etc, it was a bit of a let down. Desserts were phenomenal. Unlikely to go back again for sit-down meal, but will order their pastries.

We enjoyed a lovely mother's day lunch, eating from the set menu. The food was delicious with generous portions and a well balanced choice of dishes. It was finished off with their incredible patisseries and a piped happy mother's day message on the slate. Beautiful plates and attentive service finished it all off. The seating area is in the basement with atmospheric lighting - probably better suited for dinners than lunches if you want to enjoy the sunshine.

The food and service were excellent. However there were a really noisy group was sitting next to us. One woman's laugh was exceptionally loud. This destroyed the nice atmosphere !

A nice time including very helpful staff who found my iPhone after we left and held for next day pickup. The only suggestion (and a strong one) that I would make is … when someone orders one of the multi-course tasting menus that the servers watch the pacing. If you order 8 courses you expect to enjoy each one, to have it explained, etc. We had way too much delivered all at once, resulting in a mostly cold meal and it was mostly a mystery as there were no explanations offered. This was after asking them to slow it down, too.

The Yauatcha of the old days is gone. Food still good but portions have been reduced and prices over the roof...£6 for a bowl of steamed rice?!! The service was the worst!! The waiter serving us was not friendly, he did not explain the dishes, our wine came well late during we were having dinner; he was rude anytime we were asking for something and at the end he forgot our drinks orders and he came to aplogies when the bar was already closed. Food was wonderful but you don’t go to yauatcha just for food. Unfortunately service was rushed, and inhospitable. A dessert was whisked off our table and given to another table. Water was not refilled (there was no carafe o the table). In general there was a sense of hurry

Table ridiculously small at these prices - had tasting menu. In & out just over 1 hour- noise not a relaxing meal - relief to be out. Background music equilivant to a night club- plus other diners raised voices to be able to make conversation.

Fantastic “taste of Y” menu. Dimsum spectacular as mains. We also had crispy duck- always excellent here. Wines are overpriced. Rice much too overcooked. Desserts great. Too much noisy pop music in the background. We would prefer quiet traditional Chinese music. Waiter efficient and friendly

I had only been to the Broadgate restaurant. I thought the food was good but considering the price, I was very disappointed by the overall ambience.

A staff in particular was amazing he was called “Nathan” he made our experience 10x better and managed to give my boyfriend the best birthday by helping us out with all our needs, 100% recommending all my friends here and hopefully they meet Nathan too.
