The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.
The restaurant offers Cantonese dishes with a modern influence, with an extensive range of steamed, baked, grilled and fried dim sum such as Yauatcha’s signature dishes of Scallop shui mai and Venison puffs.

Loved it and would recommend this restaurant as the food was really good
Disappointed.. everything is too sweet, the dim sam was poor and blend..
to much hipe for nothing.
The waitress told us that it’s our problem for choosing this dishes, while he didn’t even know to explain anything about the menu.
Barley speaks English to
The Wagyu beef puff is an absolute must and so is the prawn and bean curd cheung fun.
Incredible food. Pricey, especially because some of the nice dishes incur an extra cost on top of the set menu, but really very very very tasty.
I booked the ‘Experience’ option for this restaurant but was not offered it (or even mentioned by the waitress).
The food is average and was not given the dessert I ordered because it had run out by the time I was ready to be served it - ended up with a random dessert the waitress gave me without asking and assumed I would like it because “it’s expensive”
Very nice but now hideously expensive
Main disappointment was a much shorter wine list than historically and staff that need more training (incl “dumping” the last dregs of wine into my class with all the sediment”
Booked for my wedding anniversary. Took over 30 minutes to get seated. Actually had to ask what was going on. Then we got seated. Took 20 minutes to get waitress to take order. During the meal we ordered more drinks, that took over 15 minutes to get to our table. Literally watched it sat on the bar table waiting to be picked up. My wife was coughing at one point, that was it! I told waitress to please bring the drinks already ordered from the bar. All in all, ambiance was good, staff were friendly, but the service was extremely slow. To be frank, food was great, but not worth the value, especially in addition to s 13.5% service charge. Also although booked and informed of special occasion, nothing was done and i could not be bothered to repeat it again as we have to wait even longer!
It’s way too expensive
Great restaurant for special occasions
Noted that it was for an anniversary and this wasn’t even acknowledged. For a special occasion I would have expected to be given a table downstairs. After suggesting this to the waitress, the group of ladies behind the desk belittled me and were extremely rude making me feel like I was stupid because I didn’t specifically ask for this when booking. I have never been to the venue before so wouldn’t know to mention this on the booking but perhaps some common sense when sorting reservations in the future might be helpful? Will not be returning.
Wonderful Chinese food. Served excellently. Recommend for those seeking quality Chinese.
Don’t appreciate a charge for the table of £11
Excellent food - presentation and service are also very good.
The Cantonese food presented here is within the most delicious I’ve ever eaten, everything on our table was near perfection and so was the service, attentive but not invasive. Loved it.
We go there weekly. And every week its a 5 star. Great food, good service, pleasant atmosphere.
Wonderful experience! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be going back!
Lovely as always. Didn’t disappoint and the service is great.
Amazing experience from start to finish
The food was phenomenal and the service outstanding. Yauatcha Soho is a little hidden gem I was able to stumble across on a social media platform and one I’m delighted to put in my best finds list! See you soon ;)
Great food, lovely staff! Go there, you’ll love it!
Really nice as always
Lovely staff and lovely food
The food was great but it was ridiculously expensive.
Am I the only one in thinking that Yauatcha has resolutely gone down hill?
I’ve been going there for 10years. So it took more than the odd one “not quite so good” visit for me to assert they’ve consistently lowered standards.
Food, especially the dim sum, is still gorgeous. The service and the ambience has definitely deteriorated, thus somewhat spoiling the experience. A real shame.
Lovely place, food was delicious, especially crispy duck, possible best we have had. Service was attentive and very courteous. Highly recommend.
The service was impeccable. The staff were extremely attentive and the food was served at a good pace. Not too quick and not too slow.
Overall, minus one hiccup with a bowl of undercooked rice, the food was of a high standard.
The ambience in the restaurant was great, however once it started getting busy, the table arrangements and spacing started to feel quite tight.
The set menu’s provide good value for what you pay for.
Would definitely recommend for a special occasion dinner.
Great food - perhaps the best Chinese food we have ever had in London's Soho and the Dim Sum was amazing !
Amazing as always - friendly, helpful staff and delicious food. We haven’t been since Chinese NY 2020 due to the pandemic and have missed it. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip back to Yautcha and the food quality is still exceptional.
Service was abysmal. Waiter brought the wrong wine to us twice. Didn’t pour us a glass after the first time he did, food arrived in good time but unfortunately the service was shocking
Late half an hour to be seated.
Dishes were late

Great service and as always the crispy Peking duck is marvelous !!
What an amazing restaurant! Food was so good and cocktails also amazing. Only marked down due to being seated 45mins after our booking and two of our mains dishes arrived well after the others
First, after the reservation, they charge my card £100, which I am suspecting in error.
Second, we ordered a Ceremony Menu, but they forget to bring my main.
Third, they sold out the desserts, and we could not choose from our menu's list.
From my menu, main and dessert were missing!
Dear ChiaraZ, Thank you for your review. Please note the £100 that were charged to your card is the deposit. Food was good, but restaurant seems a bit run down, a bit grimy, very loud (impossible to hear server through her mask even when standing next to me unless she shouted). Good food though.
The food here i
Revisited Yauatcha after a number of years. Food is good but other (cheaper) restaurants have caught up in my opinion and it is now possible to eat elsewhere for half the price.
I have been before and the food, ambiance and service was far better on that occasion.

Food was good but almost overwhelmed by choice/ different set menus with no explanation from staff. Lots of additional charge for many items on the menu.
