The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.
The restaurant offers Cantonese dishes with a modern influence, with an extensive range of steamed, baked, grilled and fried dim sum such as Yauatcha’s signature dishes of Scallop shui mai and Venison puffs.

Great food and ambiance. Terrible customer service! Rude receptionist giving us incorrect information on the phone
First time i have been in Yauatcha. We sat outside, there were a lot cafes and they were crowded and quite noisy. Foods are delicious. I recommend this place to everyone.
AMAZING FOOD and EVEN better service. Thank you so much! Very pleased :)
Very good food, but poor service. I was expecting a high quality service - especially as the service fee is 25% of the bill. Unfortunately, the waiters were not helpful when we were asking about the food and the choices of the food.
The restaurant atmosphere is really nice, service is excellent. However, it’s a little bit crowded. During the pandemic time, it should be social distance between each table. Overall, it’s nice restaurant I will recommend to my friends
Great place and food! Ambience was amazing and the music was on point
The food was good, however, we were seated 20 minutes late!!! They were super rude, did not say sorry or explained anything but just told us to stand and wait. We asked several times for our table (that we had reserved well in advance) and they just said it wasn’t ready. After 20 minutes it was still us that had to go and ask (again)! We were late to our next appointment and had to rush dinner. Not a good experience.
Very good food and big portions. The taste is exquisite at the same time delicate. I really love the venison dim sum and the duck dishes.
The food was very good, but the service was just fair. We were not aware that the deposit in advance explained in the Open Table was actually a real transaction for 100 pounds minimum spending, i.e. we didn’t know we needed to target for over 100 pounds spending when we booked / at the time when we sat down. We got really confused about the deposit when the waiter mentioned about it when we were about to order dessert. This should have been better informed during the booking process and at the time when we arrived at the restaurant. Thank you!
Amazing food. Prawn & bean curd cheung feung is always our favourite!
Venison puffs make the trek worthwhile. A bit noisy in the evening so hard to hear the person opposite you. Service was attentive,’food delicious and comes out fast.
Fantastic food, great ambiance, would recommend. The only thing I would change is the service as we were slightly rushed.
Great service. Nice location. For a better vide I recommend to choose a low level as there is cool music and better interior.
We ordered a full menu and also some sides and nobody advised that it was too much food. We literally packed 3/4 to go.
Food was really good, service was fast. portions are however tiny.
Seems to have lost its spark now that they’ve made it mostly set menus, I prefer the set menu but didn’t appreciate you have to pay additional prices if you want something like egg fried rice instead of the only option is steamed jasmine. Staff are amazing you can’t fault. Ambience is lost as most ppl are sitting outside so inside seems very quiet
As always, an amazing, super fun, and incredibly delicious evening!!
We brought friends who had never been before and they LOVED everything.
They will become new regulars!!
The Lalu cocktail is the most delicious cocktail ever invented!!
All my best,
Standard of the restaurant has fallen drastically. Was taken by my wife for my birthday.
Very disappointing food. Ordered the most expensive menu.
Our final invoice without alcohol was GBP 180. Was not worth half the price.
Lovely staff, and we did not feel rushed. Table in good position to give us privacy.
It's a while since I've been to Yauatcha Soho and it did not disappoint. And coming at teatime suited us well as it wasn't too noisy. The cakes were superb. The service was outstanding.
Excellent food and attentive staff, will definitely visit again.
Such an amazing experience with incredible food and an ambient setting.
Excited to go back.
Really good food as usual and the staff are very professional and responsive.
My only criticism is the lack of baby-friendly facilities - there is no high chair and I don't believe there were any baby changing areas either. I was told to bring my own booster seat along which was completely impractical and looking at the furniture in the restaurant you couldn't really safely secure it in those chairs either.
The staff still made it very comfortable for us despite this but I do think the management should invest into making it easier for parents with babies and toddlers to attend... we shouldn't feel excluded from wanting to eat amazing food too!
Bang average Chinese food with an extortionate price tag. Took my wife here with the promise of "special Michelin star Chinese food" but this didn't even come close to what it's advertised as. It started well with a lovely soft shell crab bao and soup dumpling but after that, it completely fell off, the dishes that followed could have been from any standard Chinese takeaway throughout the UK. Crispy duck served with a tiny amount of cucumber and spring onion, noodles covered in curry powder, dry sweet and sour pork, egg fried rice comparable to uncle Ben's, and then two desserts that fell very short. The service in the restaurant was great and our waitress was absolutely lovely but aside from that this restaurant is overhyped, overpriced and one to avoid.
Great food as ever. However, our table of 6 was very much crammed into a corner and not comfortable at all, noise levels from the table next door were almost unbearable, and the service was unfriendly and inattentive at times. Not quite a good enough experience for the amount you pay, in my opinion. Can't fault the dim sum though..
First time I’ve ever been here on a weekend. Sat downstairs , crowd mixed - younger, trendy and older cool etc. Music quite dancy, eg Dizzy Rhythm/Sous Sol, but a tad loud for an oldie like me.
Food was great, my wife came for the first time, doesn’t like ‘Chinese’ food, but was very impressed. We ate vegetarian.
A little bit pricey, but expected.
Will definitely be back.
Good food but not as good as previous outings. So so cramped even with apparent social distancing. Music crazy loud. I love a good background choice but a touch lower would have been better
Each dish at Soho was either average or bad so we felt it was not worth the £60 each for the harmony set plus drinks. The hot and sour soup was very think/gelatinous and too sweet, in fact all dishes were on the sweet side unfortunately which meant the meal was unbalanced overall and we couldn’t eat all our dishes. We just expected more for the price point.
excellent food and unhurried service with great food recommendations
Delicious food. And I mean.... DELICIOUS FOOD!
Food was ok, service was mediocre. I could hardly understand what waiters were saying and they were very slow.
Food was amazing - 5 stars, but very expensive. Very cool and trendy restaurant - lovely atmosphere, but music a bit too loud.. Hard to have a conversation as so noisy.
Service charge increased to 14% but not outstanding as it should be for the price you pay. The food it’s delicious. Ambience was better before, too loud and not the most glamours crowd anymore
Used to be a 1* for grown ups
Now became a noisy place for kids
Food is ok, one can see that they simplified things for themselves
Service is horrible, computer based rushed
Place is way too noisy
Used to be a 1*, now it became a chain concept
Good was great but the music was way too loud. We literally could not hear each other speak across the table.
Prices have doubled. An absolute joke. We have been coming every year for the past 10 years
They charged me £300 for no reasom
Lovely meal, thank you for the birthday plate very nice touch x
Amazing experience!! Food and cocktails were delish! Defo recommend - will be back!
Food is great and this is the fifth time I come back to this restaurant. However, every single time I went, drinks arrived after the meal, sometimes even 20 minutes after your first course. And very often drinks require a lot of chasing too. I love the food, but I won't come back.
Dear Claudia, We are terribly sorry to hear that you have experienced consistent delays for your drinks. We thank you for bringing this to our attention as this does not reflect the high standards of service that we strive for. Your feedback will be addressed with the management team to ensure we can improve upon this immediately. Kind regards, Yauatcha Soho.
