The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.
The restaurant offers Cantonese dishes with a modern influence, with an extensive range of steamed, baked, grilled and fried dim sum such as Yauatcha’s signature dishes of Scallop shui mai and Venison puffs.
The Taste of Yauatcha menu is designed for two people to share and is offered from Monday to Thursday between 2pm and 6pm for £28.88.
Sunday: 12:00 to 22:00
Best Chinese food ever...Best dim sum in town and delicious desserts!
I always have dinner in Yauatcha Soho when I am visiting London. Love it! Although last time I felt it was too noisy, more than usual. Great cheung fun and desserts!
Food was amazing and waiter assisted with navigating the menu for first timers. Really great atmosphere and good vibe.
The service has definitely slipped.
I love dining at Yuatcha for their superb and warm service on top of their delicious comfort food for asians like us.
Excellent. As always.
Excellent food and excellent service. A bit noisy for my taste.
Yauatcha used to be my favorite restaurant in London but this time I noticed the quality has gone down. The edamame truffle dimsum, one of the most popular veggie dimsum options, did not taste the same as usual.
Also, the service wasn’t as usual. The person who took our order kept telling us we ordered too many dimsum...We easily finished those and had to order 3 more options...I go to yauatcha for their dimsum.
The wait staff was not happy or smiling. Very unfortunate.
Phenomenal food and service as always.
Excellent atmosphere and superb food
We were very excited before we visited Yauatcha Soho because we had read all the good recomendations of the restaurant. We did not get too much help regarding the menue, but desided to order the 65 Festive menue. The food was okay, but we relised after we had left the restaurant that we did not get all the courses that was listed for that menue (we did not get the Braised beef short rib
with lamb lettuce)!!! This is not acceptable when you buy a menue to the price of £65 per person!! We also belive the price is way too high compared to the value of the food - and we thought the food was just average! We are so disapointed about this visit (and we do like to visit expencive restaurants as long as we get the WOW feeling about food - unfortunately this did not happen at Yauatcha Soho)!
The service was excellent and the servers were all attentive and helpful. The food was amazing - especially the Lobster Vermicelli. Would definitely return to try some of the tasting menus that were available. The location was also great as we were able to go to a few lively cocktail bars after. The only negative would be that the seats were too low for our liking and was not very comfortable.
Thoroughly enjoyed by all the family. Efficient service, wonderful food.
Very noisy bustling restaurant. Serving staff just dumped menus with us without explaining anything and we waiting around 20 minutes before we were asked for our drink orders. The food we had was tasty but it would have been nice to have a bit more interaction with our waitress and perhaps advice/descriptions of some menu items. Not at all what we expected.
In conclusion the food was excellent however the service was incredibly poor
I took my mum to this restaurant for a nice dinner together and my mum really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was absolutely amazing and the service was impeccable! I would most definitely recommend for a night out or even for a night with family.
Too low chairs, very inconvenient to sit with his knees up in the underside of the table.
I had high hopes for Yauatcha, and I have to say that it lived up to them - and some! The food was delicious, with very good vegetarian options. The service was so impressive, with attentive and knowledgable staff who bent over backwards to make our experience relaxed, and enjoyable. I will be visiting Yauatcha again, for sure.
This is by far the best dim sum in London and the home made drinks were excellent.
Only problem was a bit of a confused service (there seems to be a lot of servers who have different jobs) but once everything got under way it cleared up and we were comfortable.
under my expectation.
Noisy and hectic - food ok but not great
One of the best places in London. They took the dim sum to a perfection. 50 GPB tasting menu is perfect, nothing else needed.
If you're still hungry, take the jasmine tea-smoked ribs.
Don't get the duck - it's super dry and hard to eat.
I love Yauatcha. Dim sum is my thing (small plates generally are top of my list). Only downside was some slightly patchy service on this occasion - semi ignored and then very quickly brought the bill to ensure we were out so they could turn the table. Dim sum were delightful as always. Only the fried chilli squid wasn't as good as hoped.
I'd still go back.
Really interesting & imaginative food. Expensive but this kind of ambiance & cuisine costs!
Pretty good, but not great too much quantity to the detriment of quality.
Great food, very good service a lovely late lunch. Will be back!
The food is very good, the menus help your decision by offering good options at very reasonable prices. The service is very warm and professional. I had ticked “specialnoccasion/birthday” when I booked online which prompted them to present on of the desserts with a big “happy birthday “ written in the plate and a candle: not for everyone’s taste but a thoughtful touch
Delicious food , especially the chilli fried squid, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend & planning on coming back.
Food received was not fresh and the noise of the music is unacceptable
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, a bit difficult to understand the menu, could’ve been better explained with suggestions by staff? Overall a good experience that probably will be improved coming back knowing “how it works”.
We heard from you in Brussels !
Delicious food, nice atmosphere, no doubt we will come back...
In one word : TOP !
Food is amazing, service is great! Just a bit crowd and noisy.
When we arrived they had no place at the ground floor which was very disappointing for us as the room downstairs was very warm and noisy. The staff has been very professional and seeing that we were really disappointed, tried to find us a solution: moving to the bar. Then Alice has been really nice and took the time to explain us all the menus. This was very appreciated. Food was very good and original.
Overall, the experience was very good.
Great evening out really enjoyed ourselves food and cocktails were excellent. The music was just that bit too loud to catch up and chat properly
Amazing venue very accommodating and food was out of a this world can’t wait to go back :)
I took my good friend here for a birthday treat. I was not let down my the exceptional service and food.
We went for our anniversary for a special treat, couldn’t fault the food and service, but the place is all hard surfaces and music is quite loud so it’s a bit of cacophony so it loses a of its ambience. Would be much better for a group than a date.
Excellent restaurant with outstanding food and professional, friendly service
I love Yauatcha. It is a restaurant I will return to time and time again because the food is always delicious and I like the ambience.
