The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.
The restaurant offers Cantonese dishes with a modern influence, with an extensive range of steamed, baked, grilled and fried dim sum such as Yauatcha’s signature dishes of Scallop shui mai and Venison puffs.
- Sanitiser or wipes provided for customers
- Contactless payment available

Fantastic food and service from the staff. The Haka cocktails are so delicious.
Great food as always, with the dim sum being the highlight.
Food quality was poor, service was poor. Waited over an hour for mains. Very expensive for what it was.
Amazing food and ambience. 10/10 would recommend, especially if you love high quality food. One of my top 3 Cantonese restaurants to go to!
Very poor service - two of our items never arrived but were still on the bill.
Waited over 2 hours for mains to arrive.
Overall good quality dumplings but Hugely overpriced
Booked a table for 8 online for family dinner. When we arrived, we found the downstairs restaurant space was closed. The table was not ready, so staff cobbled together a space in the upstairs tea room area. I wish they had told us about the main restaurant not being open, we would have gone elsewhere. Food was good. Service not so and ambience poor. We also had not been told about increased service charges. Having been to Yauatcha several times and being a fan, they just lost me as a customer.
Big disappointment. Service was sloppy, rude and complacent. Food was sub standard - dim sum ok but lacked flavour - other dishes bland and lacked attention to detail. Price was high.
Very disappointed and will not be going back. Not a patch on Hakkasan, zuma or Roka.
They aren't serving their full menu, I suppose because of COVID, which I wish they had mentioned upon booking the table. Several of our favourite dishes were not available.
Also, one of the dishes we received was incorrect and we were charged incorrectly for champagne that never arrived. They sorted this out once I had pointed it out, but it's not the sort of mistake you expect to have to look out for.
However the dishes that we DID order arrived in good time and were all as tasty as usual.
Generally disappointed with the food and the overall service received.
Expected a lot more from the chosen dishes but they were very bland and without the necessary flavour and spice.
Staff also very slow to respond and had to constantly remind to order more drinks.
Unsure if I'll come back to Yauatcha again..
We visited this place to celebrate my brother's birthday. On forehand the restaurant checked if they could make a happy birthday-dessert, but I heard the voicemail too late unfortunately. The gesture was very kind.
Foodwise and our experience was a bit disappointing. The food was delicious but without a wow-factor which we expected. And the service was good, but not as warm and welcoming as we would have liked to.
The ambiance is very beautiful.
The dim sum is absolutely amazing. It’s definitely expensive but you know that going in. The service was good, not super friendly but the job gets done.
Great food took a while but overall great experience.
The manager and servers were both extremely sexist.
This was our first outing since lockdown, we had planned to go before but obviously had to cancel. It did not disappoint! Amazing food, worth every penny. My partner is vegan and they had a great range of vegan dim sum as well as main dishes. I really can't recommend this restaurant enough!
Very good overall- always impressed
Really enjoyed ourselves
Very nice dumplings and quick and efficient service
over priced, over rated
Food not quiet to standard, as a regular, it felt like they have dropped the ball, even accepting the huge hike in the price. Hugely disappointed by dim sum, flavour balance was non existent. Huge fan of venison puffs, these were very below par. Peking duck was dull and not crispy. Service was adequate and extremely polite. Cocktails were good. On this effort I won’t go back, £140 for 2. Sorry guys.
Food was great but I don't think I could justify it for what we paid. Service was slow, left us with empty plates for a while after we'd finished, food came out at different times so we were all eating at different times.
Very reduced menu. Half of the best dishes are missing.
Shocking service, forgot orders, two hours to bring main, bill was wrong
Returned to Yauatcha after it reopened post lockdown. Amazing service, good social distancing and great ambience
Except for having requested a table in a good spot to which we were seated in a probably the worst spot in front of the till, we had a great experience at this restaurant.
However after asking to be moved the staff were more than accommodating. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
Great food, socially distant tables and good relaxed atmosphere
Food and services was great!
Simply the most delicious quality dim sum and Chinese food in London.
Every bite is mouthwatering! Every flavour is a high! Every texture stands out, whether crisp, soft, unctuous or dry.
Went on a "corona night" so it was very quiet which was unusual. Service prompt and attentive.
Best cocktail every!
food reasonable with wide array of dishes but service was dreadfully slow. Food also did not arrive in unison for each course
Very average for the price. We went for the vegan menu but it was very bland. A little seasoning on vegetables can’t hurt anyone. The tofu was like slime! I’ve had better vegan food from my local Chinese for a fraction of the price. I wouldn’t return unless they changed the menu quite drastically. Maybe for meat eaters the food has had more thought and taste better.
Had to ask for early bird menu eventhough we were there in the timeframe and had specifically picked this in our booking. All tables around us had the same problem.
Service was mediocre and not worth the automatically added service charge of 13% eventhough we were table of only two at an off-peak time. Table next to us had to complain due to receiving one main course 20 minutes before the other main course.
While the food was nice, the overall experience and in particular being made to request the pre-theatre as if it was not the option we had already chosen led to an unpleasant dinner experience.
I love this place. The food is always excellent as is the service. I will continue to eat here for special occasions.
Really wonderful food and fantastic service, we will definitely be coming again.
Yauatcha is one of my favourite restaurants. We booked for the theatre menu deal, which saved some money. The dim sum starters were tasty, and the main dish portions were generous as well as delicious. Cocktails were fab too. Our waitress was also helpful.
Disappointing service - waiters were slow and made errors. Front door staff were rude
Love the food. Great service. Nice ambience. Great location
Food was great but the restaurant in soho is so small and they cramp as many people as possible in there. Two people can’t walk side by side. Service was okay, not worth the 13% service fee but okay. Ambience was nice but again crowded.
One of the worse meals I have ever had. I could not hear the waitress talking to me it was so loud and she spoke so quietly. I ordered off the normal menu whilst my friends ordered from the set menu. My main came out within 5 minutes, before my friends starters which I was not told would happen. The waitress took a plate from beneath my friends before she had finished eating her meal. When the bill came we had been charged for things we had not ordered too. This was also one of the most expensive meals I have ever eaten- 3 meals and 3 soft drinks for £175 . I do not mind spending money on fine food but we all thought the food was very average and not worth anywhere near the money we paid. None of the party would not eat here again or recommend to a friend
The staff were fantastic and the food was nice but the set up meant the service was really slow. It took half an hour to get our first drink and it didn’t get better from there
Not as sharp as it normally is, service was slow and cold at first but then got better. Restaurant seemed understaffed as tables next to us were left dirty for a while after people had left.
Toilets were very messy as well. Food as always was very good as was the wine.
