The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.
The restaurant offers Cantonese dishes with a modern influence, with an extensive range of steamed, baked, grilled and fried dim sum such as Yauatcha’s signature dishes of Scallop shui mai and Venison puffs.

The service was rubbish, I do not recommend it, food is good but don’t waste your money going there as the service you get isn’t worth a penny! Rude and arrogant manager! We were asked to leave as the time for our table was ended but we still had some orders that hadn’t arrived and they had to return the food back!!!
The service was not up to scratch. We were seated but had to work out ourselves that menus were to be scanned. Pickles arrived before drinks were taken and then there was a long wait from receiving our water to getting our wine. We could see the bottle of white warming nicely on the side of the bar whilst we waited.
The food was great.
We didn't ordered more food, desserts or more wine because we weren't sure if or when it would arrive.
if you want dumplings come here ... problem is they will cost ya! the dishes following the dumplings were somewhat dissappointing. Table service was slow we waited 40 minutes for our drink.... When you've paid 50pp for a deposit booking prior you feel obliged to stay.
Music was loud, and techno was playing! There's a reason we keep that genre to Printworks and Fabric... but if you like going clubbing and eating at the same time maybe Yauatacha is the place. Expensive tasteless bad ambience....hopefully this can be improved!
Food’s tasty. I’m a returning customer. The only dissatisfaction is that they changed the menus, and many nice dishes can no longer be ordered.
Front of house team were excellent as we had to change the time of our booking.
Having been to this restaurant for many years, I felt the table service was poor and the waiting staff struggled with trying to understand our order for both drinks and food.
👍 food excellent but too crowded and loud
Excellent food. We had the Harmony set menu and were very impressed! Unfortunately, the experience was a little let down by slow service - the standard of service doesn’t reflect the price tag of the restaurant. But overall a good experience.
What has happened to Yauatcha? Terrible experience.
Excellent food come here every time we visit London
Had a really good time. Food was excellent and cocktails tasty. Tables vary a lot in terms of ambience so ask to sit on right side downstairs and not the left which is a bit cramped and by the stairs / till area. We had set menu and food was great…. But pricing a bit odd as you are charged ~£7 ish more for rice or pak Choi.
Anyway, not cheap but food was worth it.
Great food as always, the dim sum all excellent and duck spring rolls and Venison puffs a must have. Service could have been better (our first plates of food arrived before the drinks) but we fell between a shift which probably didn't help.
It was a busy Friday evening. Had to wait a little over 10 mins for a table (even though pre- booked) and had to call staff over to take orders once seated. Music is way too loud. Waiters put down plates without saying what the dishes actually were. Food was so bland! Really poor for the price to be honest... Nice birthday presentation and drinks.
Really average overall. Definitely not racing to go back and wouldn't reccommend to anyone either.
Good food and certainly lots of it, but it felt like we were paying for style over substance
Great dim sum and Cheng Feng.
Excellent service as always
Loved it and would recommend this restaurant as the food was really good
Disappointed.. everything is too sweet, the dim sam was poor and blend..
to much hipe for nothing.
The waitress told us that it’s our problem for choosing this dishes, while he didn’t even know to explain anything about the menu.
Barley speaks English to
The Wagyu beef puff is an absolute must and so is the prawn and bean curd cheung fun.
Incredible food. Pricey, especially because some of the nice dishes incur an extra cost on top of the set menu, but really very very very tasty.
I booked the ‘Experience’ option for this restaurant but was not offered it (or even mentioned by the waitress).
The food is average and was not given the dessert I ordered because it had run out by the time I was ready to be served it - ended up with a random dessert the waitress gave me without asking and assumed I would like it because “it’s expensive”
Very nice but now hideously expensive
Main disappointment was a much shorter wine list than historically and staff that need more training (incl “dumping” the last dregs of wine into my class with all the sediment”
Booked for my wedding anniversary. Took over 30 minutes to get seated. Actually had to ask what was going on. Then we got seated. Took 20 minutes to get waitress to take order. During the meal we ordered more drinks, that took over 15 minutes to get to our table. Literally watched it sat on the bar table waiting to be picked up. My wife was coughing at one point, that was it! I told waitress to please bring the drinks already ordered from the bar. All in all, ambiance was good, staff were friendly, but the service was extremely slow. To be frank, food was great, but not worth the value, especially in addition to s 13.5% service charge. Also although booked and informed of special occasion, nothing was done and i could not be bothered to repeat it again as we have to wait even longer!
It’s way too expensive
Great restaurant for special occasions
Noted that it was for an anniversary and this wasn’t even acknowledged. For a special occasion I would have expected to be given a table downstairs. After suggesting this to the waitress, the group of ladies behind the desk belittled me and were extremely rude making me feel like I was stupid because I didn’t specifically ask for this when booking. I have never been to the venue before so wouldn’t know to mention this on the booking but perhaps some common sense when sorting reservations in the future might be helpful? Will not be returning.
Wonderful Chinese food. Served excellently. Recommend for those seeking quality Chinese.
Don’t appreciate a charge for the table of £11
Excellent food - presentation and service are also very good.
The Cantonese food presented here is within the most delicious I’ve ever eaten, everything on our table was near perfection and so was the service, attentive but not invasive. Loved it.
We go there weekly. And every week its a 5 star. Great food, good service, pleasant atmosphere.
Wonderful experience! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be going back!
Lovely as always. Didn’t disappoint and the service is great.
Amazing experience from start to finish
The food was phenomenal and the service outstanding. Yauatcha Soho is a little hidden gem I was able to stumble across on a social media platform and one I’m delighted to put in my best finds list! See you soon ;)
A very special Chinese restaurant that doesn’t break the bank but is a treat for a special occasion
Great food, lovely staff! Go there, you’ll love it!
Really nice as always
Lovely staff and lovely food
The food was great but it was ridiculously expensive.
