The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.
The restaurant offers Cantonese dishes with a modern influence, with an extensive range of steamed, baked, grilled and fried dim sum such as Yauatcha’s signature dishes of Scallop shui mai and Venison puffs.
The Taste of Yauatcha menu is designed for two people to share and is offered from Monday to Thursday between 2pm and 6pm for £28.88.
Friday and Saturday 12:00 to 22:30
Tutto ottimo, famosi i dim sum (ravioli) cotti in diversi modi. Consiglio anche la crispy duck.
Every time I come to London, I come here, and tonight did not disappoint. Everything was excellent. Standout dishes were: Softshell crab with Almonds, Sesame Prawn toast, Wagyu Beef puff, Spicy Tofu and Barbecue Pork Bun - that’s most of the meal :o) Hmm thinking about going again; tomorrow!
Me and my boyfriend came for his birthday meal, we’ve been before and they didn’t disappoint this time! Food was amazing like normal, service was outstanding! We will be returning! Amazing evening!
Had a great time as always. Awesome location with delicious food and drinks and an outstanding service. Will definitely come back again.
Great flavours and wonderful presentation. A feast to eyes and the pallet.
A bit too pricey but for special occasions is just right!👌👌
The chairs to sit we found very uncomfortable, service was not superb. Cocktails were good.
I booked this restaurant for a surprise special occasion but have mixed feelings about the overall experience.
The tables were ridiculously close to each other. The music is very loud and unnecessary in a high class restaurant.
Our waiter didn't make any effort to explain the various menus and when we got our food we could barely understand what everything was.
The Thai style chicken was very dry and I couldn't eat. However, the manager offered to bring something else instead.
Overall, I am disappointed with the experience as I was expecting a much classier restaurant and wouldn't go back nor recommend it for special occasions.
Great welcome, attentive service, refined and flavourful food
Very nice lunch with my 4 kids. The service was excellent, providing us with forks and knives so we can share and taste everything we ordered. The food was very tasty and the place is beautiful.
We are familiar with the restaurant. Yet this time it was less than usual
A restaurant with a good ambience, excellent food served with professionalism and smile.
Food and drink were very expensive .
But the taist was not so good.
We were looking forward to have delicious dinner, but disappointed.
Not a cheap night out but great food and service so well worth a visit.
Food super overpriced for the quality. Dumplings good but mains and starters what you get at any Chinese buffet honestly.
Didn't make it to desert when we found out our bill was £150 with one drink each.
Would never recommend
Wonderful as always, love the place !!
Service excellent!!! 5 stars for that!
Yes dishes are a bit pricey for the portion size...that's the only qualm...
Cocktails are great and a must!!
Disappointed-seats very low so not comfortable-food ok-main course not what I expected as ordered Thai Chicken and was not much chicken and what there was was very crispy! Each course was brought to us before we had hardly finished the one before--as though they couldn't get us out fast enough.
The staff were pleasant enough but it didn't feel very personal--we won't be going back!
Our overall experience at the restaurant was wonderful. We booked a table for two to celebrate our anniversary and a particular table was arranged for us upon our request made in our reservation form. Very attentive, friendly, and polite staffs took care of us making our evening a memorable anniversary.
However, one shortcoming was that one of the staffs addressed to me in not so polite and friendly manner compared to the rest of the staffs. I ordered a customised dessert at the start of our evening and when we finished our main I went over to the counter to address to one of staffs that I would like the dessert to be served to our table. As I was talking to that staff, another staff poked me hard in the back, looked at me with an annoying expression, and said that it (the dessert) is coming. For a Michelin stared restaurant, I expect that their staffs would be more professional at how to address with thier guests than forceful poking and irritated expression.
Pricy and not very inspiring food, we were expecting more. Especially the main was something we can make at home as well.
Overall food was good however one of the chicken dumplings that was pan fried, the dumplings skin was dry and rubbery. Good cocktails
Everything was amazing!
It was a really noisy place, the service and the food was great though. Its my first time there.
Great place to enjoy good chinse food the best in London
If you haven’t seen the movie 100 steps. See it then go here. I go every year in when I’m in London. My only recommendation would be for them to redo chairs that are not so low for us older adults. Marvelous menu and service. Always special.
The restaurant was Amazing! Everything was just Perfect! The hostess and the food were amazing, we really hope to come again!
I've been to this restaurant several times before, but not for a year. I think the standard of the food has dropped. Our dim sum came up cool and was not as good as I remembered. The food was overpriced for the quality. Our server was quite abrupt, although other staff were kind and professional. I liked this restaurant and am sad that its standards seem to have dropped.
Food wasn’t as good as what it used to be, i remember it being much nicer a year ago.
Incredible and consistent, Yau Atcha never, ever lets you down!
The food and the service was amazing but it´s expensive.
Great food and fast service
The dim sum was excellent, compares favorably with Din Tai Fung as far as the dumplings go, and the service was very attentive and helpful without being intrusive. This was a quiet dinner with my daughter ina relaxed atmosphere. Absolutely recommend.
I have been many years ago and I am Chinese so I know re dim sum and I eat a lot in Chinatown and i was expecting some excellent dim sum but the portions were very small, at more than double the price in Chinatown and the ingredients not good, some of the dishes was well below and I am surpriseing tha5 is had a Michelin star which is well below, I would have go there again, I paid a hundred pounds for lunch believe me you get a lot better in Chinatown, they need to improve on portions and ingredients
Excellent food and great service
The Touchant menu is a real treat
I am extremely outraged. A waitress just poured tea all over my jeans and shirt forcing us to go back to change and eat with wet clothes and they had the decency to ONLY REMOVE THE SERVICE CHARGE. Well done Yauatcha. I will not be coming back here again. Service charge is optional so how generous of you!!
Amazing food as always. Too many courses to say which is best. A must place to go
Our pork buns had hard gristle and a piece of bone inside. I think the attention to detail in the quality of the food is lacking because 80% of our food was mediocre and not one person asked us how our food was.
We sat downstairs where the guests are literally shouting their conversations. I would recommend a table upstairs because there’s more of an atmosphere there and it’s quieter.
I visit yauatcha several times a year, I am now of the opinion that there are far better dim sum restaurants near by so I will be giving this restaurant a break for a while.
It was very very hot in the restaurant and we got seat next to the kitchen. We were sweetly non stop, we couldn't enjoy the food as we were feeling almost sick because of the temperature, and we have to keep asking to all the waitress for drinks at least 3 times each time until they bring to us. We complaint a few times about it but we were just change to a different table for the time of dessert. I was organizing this dinner with some friends as I have been before and really love the restaurant but it was difficult to justify this to them. I may come back sometime but I don't thing any of my friends will return or recommend this place to anyone.
The restaurant is gorgeous, they fit a lot of people in, but it is laid out really well. Staff are friendly and the service is great. Most importantly; the food is out of this world! I highly recommend trying the signature menu. Failing that just be adventurous, you won’t regret it.
Wonderful food. However, had to wait one hour for one dish because someone forgot it.
It was too noisy but the food was good as always.
Incredibly tasty dim sums, beautiful desserts, great list of wines and teas, and everything served in such lovely dishware...
