Yida Sushi Restaurant
Consistently good food, sushi and lots of other choice. Attentive staff.
Always nice. Extremely good quality food and excellent staff.
Peaceful ambience. Superb service delivered. Exceptional food, although choices, I felt, could be expanded on. Would go definitely go for another visit!
Excellent food. Low key surroundings. Pleasant staff
Really impressed with the quality of the sushi, menu choices and price at this restaurant. Highly recommend!
Great meal, excellent food. Lovely service.
The best sushi in North London! The staff are lovely and accommodating. Have been here quite a few times now. Go early if you have kids as gets packed.
Really good sushi for the price. Will definitely be coming back.
Excellent quality food and good service despite being busy. Not a smart venue but friendly and good value.
Great food and great service. It never disappoint!
The most fantastic atmosphere. The food was impeccable. The service was as you'd expect to find in Japan. I'd highly recommend you try this restaurant. I'll definitely be back.
Very nice outdoor space and nice atmosphere. The sushi was good, not super but good
Yida Sushi is my local sushi restaurant. Despite it being local, I think they consistently have some of the best sushi in London - and I like my sushi.
Why is not consistent is the service. The owner is super nice and things are very good when she’s around, but when she’s not and the place gets a little busy, the staff seem a little overwhelmed.
Don’t let that stop you from going here to get awesome food at very reasonable prices. The ambience is also fantastic- on a nice day, try to sit on the back porch where you can enjoy beautiful green Canonbury that seems a world away from busy St Paul’s road outside.
Crunchy salmon roll was excellent and outdoor terrace in sunshine was unexpected!
Excellent food for the price.
The food was really good. The lady who I think owned the place was really pleasant and welcoming. Will definitely be going back.
I booked a table for 3 to celebrate my sons birthday. When we arrived and said we had booked they looked confused and said the only table they had was by the door. We sat there but were constantly bothered by the delivery drivers and takeaway customers coming in and and standing right next to us and it was cold as the door was being opened often.
The menu was not extensive but we all found something we wanted. The portions were not very big and we wished we had ordered more dishes. What we had was nice but the meat dishes were served well before the rice did, it would have been nice if they arrived together as the meat was getting cold while we waited. Food was nice.
The staff all sung happy birthday to my son which was unexpected but a good touch.
As always one of my favourites in London. In fact we have to travel across town to go. Unique dishes & tastes for an unbelievably good price. Great wine too which was a surprise. Lovely outdoor terrace when the sun is out. Fantastic and you must try.
Very much recommend the Gin Dara and the Volcano Rolls. Definitely become my new favourite Sushi joint.
We really enjoyed the food at this simple and authentic place - especially, the miso, sashimi and udon and will be back soon as represents great quality/ value. We visited early on a Sunday evening and were the only diners apart from the busy pick-up and delivery queue, so probably experienced the place at its least atmospheric. This isn’t a place for a special date night, but we’re glad to have found a fab nearby place for freshly prepared,Japanese food which makes us feel great.
Myself and my girlfriend went here for Valentine’s Day and had an ok experience. Whilst the food was very good and decently priced, we found the service quite poor. I understand that it was very busy that night but we were waiting around 30-40 mins for food at some point. The restaurant needs to not be available for delivery on busy nights as this slowed down the service for in house diners. Would maybe give it another try but only on a good day.
Nice local sushi restaurant, food and service were great, nothing special but very good!
A no deal eel, but sashimi rollin best in EU. Would recommend for you to try exsake that.
Good food, relaxed atmosphere
Never disappoints! Best Sushi in East London - great starters too
Delicious sushi and great options if you want to have something else. Would definitely recommend!
We had a great meal before going to a concert locally. The menu was interesting and the food was of a high standard. The service was prompt and obliging when we asked for extra pickled ginger. We would go back when we are next in the area.
Good sushi - service was very slow - although waiter apologised. Too much sauce on some dishes. Nice not to travel too far.
We had a really lovely evening here, grazing our way through goodness knows how many plates of sashimi and sushi. The rainbow maki was especially noteworthy, as was the wonderfully refreshing octopus sashmi. It was all serve in a comfortable environment with just the right level of background sound to keep private conversations private without drowning them out, and with service which was there when you needed it but far from being overbearing.
I should also mention that our guide dogs were welcomed too, with a large enough table to accomodate us all comfortably.
All in all, this is a great find, and one I would be most happy returning to.
What a find! It was recommended by a friend, I have passed by so many times, but not any more.
The food was excellent and reasonably priced and better than most expensive Japanese restaurants.
I will be back as a regular.
Always fabulous food, fresh sushi and lovely staff.
Lovely people, great grub, soft shell crab hmmm, unpretentious. I'm a fan!
It was our first time there and we had a delicious meal in the outdoor area, which is really pretty. Loved the sashimi and rolls especially. Staff were helpful and friendly. Not too expensive: more than we would spend for a casual/everyday dinner, but good value for an occasion. Would definitely recommend.
Great service and quality of food. I come here once a month and it never disappoints.
Yida Sushi was a great dinner - fast service and great quality. Portions were ok for the price but we would definitely return!
Always excellent. Great staff and lovely ambience.
I keep coming back so that in itself is a good story! The sushi and sashimi is good value and the tempura prawns are wonderful. The menu is varied and interesting so something for everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful and very accommodating. We arrived very late for our table but they happily accommodated us. Will be back again soon, no doubt.
The food is excellent here. It wasn’t very busy so lacked atmosphere on a midweek night. However the food and service were great
The sauce with the volcano maki is quite nice.
Rice is quite soggy and tasteless, quality isn’t great so isn’t worth the price.
I loved my visit here. Will definitely return again soon. Absolutely delicious food.
