Great food and service! We love the set menu and our 7 courses including dessert.

Awesome food start to finish. We luv Japanese cuisine and we wanted to try Zema and their Food and Service x5⭐️
We usually like to try many of what’s on the menu on our first try so we ordered
- crispy salmon skin salad
- edamame w/ 3 salt sampler - we chose soy/yuzu/truffle
- kurobuta pan seared dumplings
- couple of pieces of chu-toro /blue fin / yellowtail Hon Hamachi sashimi
- a sushi special - tempura crunch on the outside with tuna / roe /avocado on the outside and some sort of jalapeño cream sauce on the inside
- kirin ichiban braised short ribs w/crispy ramen noodles
- black cod saikyoyaki
- NY strip steak with bliss potatoes
that tasted like gnocchis
- wasabi rice
MINI DESERTS X3 (we chose banana ice cream/ bl choco mousse with sea salt / tofu beignets

Amazing sushi! Best in the city that I’ve had!

Our server was very poor. He barely checked on our table, we had a food runner who was way more attentive and we would have rather tipped. We were very disappointed in the service.

After 1 hour waiting for our food (2 persons order) we canceled it and the server didn’t even apologized. Seems like waiting an hour for your food is normal thing for them.

The folks at Zama really helped us celebrate our son’s 13th birthday with style! The service was amazing, the recommended dishes were perfect (king crab rolls topped w scallop sashimi!) and the dessert was the right ending.

Went out for valentines. It took almost 2 1/2 hours to get all our food. We got a multi-course menu, but some courses had 30 minutes or more between. It took so long. I ordered a beer, and 30 minutes later, still waiting for the next course, the waiter dumped one in my glass and said ‘not sure if you ordered this, but take it’ somewhat rudely. As a 200$ meal for two and a special occasion, disappointed. We left more than 3 hours after arriving...

I understand that it was Valentine’s Day but our waitress was awful. She barely checked up on us and waited over 20 minutes to take our order. She never let us know that the rolls were going to take over an hour to come out and we found out when we overheard her talking to another waitress. Other employees were checking up on their tables and offering free appetizers to compensate for the wait but we were never offered the same treatment. She did not even give us our food and had other people run it for her. We ended up paying for the food we already ate and left before the rolls came out. We probably saw her twice throughout the 2 hours we were there.

It was my birthday dinner, I somehow accidentally cancelled my reservation but the manager went above and beyond to accommodate us. He made my birthday extra special. The food was great, drinks were awesome! Excellent experience! Highly recommended.

Wonderful food, service and space! We had pork dumplings, a sushi roll that was a special for the evening, and the new york strip. All fantastic.

It was our first indoor dining since March 2020. Everything was perfect and ran smoothly. The dishes and sake were delicious and fresh and we kept ordering more! What I wonderful way to experience our first indoor eating adventure. Thank you! We will be back.

This is a wonderful place. We highly recommend the chef's tasting menu. Like most, we fall into a pattern at Japanese restaurants in what we order. The tasting menu gave the chef free rein and his preparations were delightful and different.
