Excellent selection of pizzas and good beer. Service was excellent.
Attentive staff, yummy food and great beer! What’s not to like?!
Excellent customer service. Wide choice of menu. Comfortable atmosphere. Food was okay. Good choice of beers from the brewery. Nice view from our table. Would certainly return if inBristol again.
Nice environment, great beer and great food. Would recommend.
Great fresh food and service was friendly and on point.
been here once before a few years back and thought it was lush, was busy but food still arrived and was delicious.
well this time around thought will haft to pre book table because of how nice and busy it was last time.. turns out there was one other couple eating.. n this place is big, but when i got my food i understood why it was practically empty.. starter wasnt that bad but could get better from tesco.. had beer battered prawns.. for my mains i had chicken spinage rissoto and best thing about it was the spinage.. the chicken was the worst tasting chicken ive ever had from a resturaunt... ive had microwave meals from aldi or lidl with better quality tasting chicken... no joke i couldnt eat it.. my date had pizza and wasnt the worst but you take a bite and get the sauce and cheese but dough stayed intact.. need a harder bite for that..
nothing tasted fresh. 4/10 lucky waitress was friendly and drinks were ok..
Food was a little burnt, but toppings were great, good music, good service overall good experience
Awful service, we waited 1hr 45mins for our mail meals and then had to pay the optional service charge
Place looks good and is very well located. Big enough, you can usually find a spot even without prior reservation. Last time we visited however it was full end extremely noisy. Service very good under the circumstances. Food overall good, seafood - not so good. Would recommend for dinner and a few pints of beer out with friends
We had a pre booked table and whilst the food was delicious, the environment was loud, dark and not suitable for a social gathering with friends. Last year we had a completely different experience as we were sat upstairs. This weekend we were seated downstairs, it was very loud so I asked to turn the speaker down which didn’t happen (we could not have a conversation between the 6 of us as we just couldn’t hear each other). It was dark, the set of three lights above us were not on, we asked to turn them on but I can only presume the bulbs had gone as we were left in darkness!
The staff were friendly and apologised when some fries were missed off the order and like I said the food was lovely but the atmosphere was not conducive to a girlie catch up! Had it not been a Saturday night and being six of us, I would have probably moved on.
Good food and atmosphere. We arrived early but this no problem and seated straight away. Great place to go.
The food and beer were fine, and it was cheap but the service was somewhere between non-existent and terrible. Long waits wrong orders etc.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs. It was atrocious with no redeeming features.
We reserved a table for 4 at 8 pm. We arrived on time and ordered quickly. By 9.30 our main course had not arrived, so I politely asked the waitress how long it would be. About 10 minutes later the food was brought to the table with profuse apologies.
Unfortunately the pasta was completely cold, the margarita pizza was burnt, the vegetables on the roasted vegetable pizza were hard and the pizza was so oily it was inedible and the goats cheese salad was a few tired lettuce leaves with 2 slices of bread and 2 slices of goats cheese.
We paid and left, as another couple, clearly unhappy, were arguing about the service charge.
We would definitely not return or recommend it to anyone.
Lovely pre theatre meal, good service and value for money
Really good choice of all sorts of food on the menu. They brew their own beers as well and produce a really interesting of all types of beer.
Tasty mussels and Belgian beer - great combination!
There was a good choice of food, we each had something different. All meals were really lovely. Fresh ingredients and very tasty. The service was good and we didn't have to wait long for the good to arrive. Staff were always available if you needed anything. A really lovely dining experience.
A very friendly and obliging waiter. Delicious beer and a good pizza had by all
Lovely evening although we both opted for kilos of mussels which we were only advised were not available at point of ordering. Pizzas were lovely, great flavours. Starters were unnecessary! Was able to take uneaten pizza home which was good. Liked the atmosphere, friendly service. Would definitely return.
Food & beer were both lovely, and the service was quick. Great atmosphere inside!
Booked a table here for my birthday at 6.30. When my friends got there, the table wasn't ready - though the restaurant was almost empty. We sat down, but had to go to the bar and wait for a drinks menu as we still hadn't been given one after fifteen minutes. The waiter didn't even check to see if we had said drinks menu. He was not particularly polite or welcoming.
When we had finished our meal, he cleared our plates and despite us trying to get his attention for half an hour at least, he was laughing with the chefs at their phones and paying no attention to us. At this point there was only one other table.
For a birthday meal, it was delicious food, but the service was disappointing. As a former waitress myself, I know that it is not difficult to be friendly and make people feel at ease, and unfortunately I didn't feel welcome at all.
I booked a table for a special occasion, for my birthday, was it Sunday evening, the local was very quiet, poor music on the ground. That was it in time for happy hour, but all the drinks was on full price, even if we buying the same 2 drinks, very expensive drinks. The food wasn’t that bad, very expensive and only one person attending all the tables in the same time, which means you need to wait a little bit longer for your order. I was completely disappointed on the end, I will not recommend this place to no one of my friends.
The food was very good. A nice wait between courses, not to quick and not to long. Attentive waitress, who also advised on the menu and recommended an excellent choice from their onsite brewery.
Good food and excellent friendly staff. It was a Tuesday night so it was very quiet.
The ambient noise level from voices was a problem as all the walls are sound reflective. Added to this was the way too loud musak and it was near impossible to hear dining companions. This isn't a quiet place and not a great place for relaxed chatting and tbh very hard work to be there. Not good, except if you want to shout at each other all evening. Romantic...er, sadly no. There are cosier places in Bristol! Food was competent though not exceptional.
On the other hand they brew excellent beer! Just an honest opinioned review.
Waitress was knowledgeable open and honest - recommended us off the Mussels as there had been poor quality delivered recently, which we found surprising (as well all ordered mussels). The food was great - good pizza and pasta dishes. The Beer was lovely (recommend the Black Lager) and the service was quick.
Would definitely go back again.
We were a couple in our forties who wanted to have an informal but nice dinner time. Although the pizza and the pasta with seafood that we chosen was quite good, the atmosphere was too noisy not just because the groups of people with celebrations around but also because the music was too laud and too "energetic" at least for that time (from 7:30 to 8:30 pm).
I would have done a dessert but due the uncomfortable atmosphere for having a conversation we decided to go for a drink somewhere else where the atmosphere was more appropriate for couples or little groups of people.
I had visited and have the dinner in previous occasions a year ago and even before with friends and never had been so noisy and the music so laud...not sure if the target of the venue has changed but I would say that they are more focus in a target of celebrations of big groups of people and quiet young.
Very good food and great service ........ what more can you ask
Great food and service, will return and recommend.
Perfect venue for a friends get together. Very good beer and food at reasonable prices. Enough said
We had a great time at Zero-degrees. The owner and staff made a real effort to make us feel welcome. They stored our buggy safely and made our two children feel very treated and important. They checked on us regularly, though not oppressively. They clearly know how to adjust their style to a different audience and we had a lot of fun because of that. We will definitely be back next time we can find an excuse for lunch in Bristol!
I was surprised for the quality of the food. I picked up my fiance to enjoy our night dinning the lovely mussels but the pizza was totally disgusting. I cant understand how is possible the chef gave us a burnt pizza to eat. Was a unreal situation never had in my life!!! I will recommend just only for the mussels never for the pizza
Couple of our party were going to be v late but staff were very accommodating. Probably helped we were at a quiet time mid afternoon, but it was still very nice of them.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We had a young baby with us and the surroundings and noise levels were absolutely fine; no overly loud music etc.
There was a slight mix-up on what was and wasn't available for desserts but it didn't impact our enjoyment of the meal at all.
Would recommend for weekend, mid afternoon, if you want quieter surroundings with good food and beers.
Prior the visit to zerodegrees I took a look the menu to find many I wanted to give a go, even down to the beers and cocktails.
Upon arrival I experienced nothing but pleasantries, from the members of the bar staff along with the hostess.
Starters was the Caprese salad which isn't the usual type of starter I'd go for. Turns out I really enjoyed the combination of flavours, an enjoyable way to start my 3 course meal. Along with the salad I also had a beer called the deep, not much of a beer drinker but that was nice.
The main course was the peking duck pizza, now that was pretty spectacular taste and texture wise, I know it's just a pizza, but I personally have a love for pizza. I've had other peking duck pizzas in the past but that had a lot going for it, great pizza!
With that I also got a Caribbean mojito, another great combination of flavours, might be a bit strong on the lime, but I enjoy sour tastes and didn't see it as an issue.
When it came round to dessert I was debating whether to have one or not, glad I did, I went with the white chocolate and honeycomb cheesecake, three sweets I enjoy a lot normally and this combination did not disappoint. It was light like the hostess said and throughly enjoyable end to a really good meal.
Will have to visit again to try out other items on their menu. Nice one zerodegrees!
Very pleasant staff and food was top notch. The menu was perfect for a light lunch with good value for money.
Disappointing meal out - at Zero Degrees with work colleagues.
2 of the meal choices were not available, the Mussels which we were looking forward to
and the alternative choice was the quinoa salad which was also not available.
I had the Proscuitto & mushroom pizza which was very salty and inedible did not enjoy it at all.
I did not complain at the time as did not want to make a fuss and ruin the evening out.
Nice affordable place would definitely recommend
Excellent cocktails recommend Negroni. Quick service friendly staff
Excellent service could not have been better. They did mess up the gluten free order but replaced it and offered a free glass of wine and we didn’t pay for the meal.. excellent service from them very apologetic
The mango beer is lovely. Nice place especially the little outside courtyards. Not quite so fond of the too-loud music whilst we ate inside but well worth a visit.
