Always dependable and outstanding. We love this neighborhood spot
We love the whole salt encrusted fish! And the focaccia Al forno.
Great meal again and again
We have followed chef for 16 years and we never leave disappointed or hungry! Everything is homemade and fresh, don’t hesitate to try!
Great food, always consistent, as is the service!!!! A place to go when you want the authentic, familiar Italian cooking!
Always a great experience with fantastic food at Zio Cecio!
The food was excellent as we had a wide variety of different things. The lamb was fantastic. The sole was really tasty as well. Our waiter was on top of all our needs in every way and very knowledgeable. Get reservations though, the secret is out on this restaurant.
Holiday get together!
Great service and atmosphere and wonderful food
The food at Zio Ceccio is outstanding. There are many options for Italian food in Dallas, but this is always my go-to place! I’ve sent many friends here and they always thank me for the recommendation.
Always good. See you again soon
Food and service were great!
Zios food and service are always consistent. Great place!
Amazing food, service, and ambiance. Our server was very helpful and provided us with great recommendations for our first time dining. We can’t wait to return!
Zio Cecio is a family favorite. Most outstanding food and service.
Great ambiance, attentive service with authentic delectable Italian dishes — a neighborhood gem
Like most italian restaurants, the food is pricy for a small bowl of pasta. It is fresh and tasty. Service was an issue this time. No host at the door, no one seemed to be managing, I had to find someone to tell them we had a reservation, no one knew which was our table, etc. When we had a last minute change (some don't know what RSVP means) & needed additional seating, the waiter's reaction was no words, just shrugged shoulders & walked off...twice. One said they were overbooked but there were empty tables the entire night. Finally I asked for someone else to wait on us who was then overwhelmed. We were patient though. There were a couple of waiters that were usually just standing around that could have helped but didn't.
Very stuffy, the menu was not inventive, and they managed to mess up the lasagna. It was understaffed and the waitress we had was very condescending, dismissive and rude. Very slow service. Honestly, worst dining experience my husband and I have had in a very long time. Also, was very expensive!
It was fabulous, as always. We had a variety of seafood, fish, lamb, chicken, pizza, and desserts! You can’t go wrong! It’s all perfectly cooked and delicious! Excellent service, food, and ambiance.
Absolutely fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend to folks. Francesco delivers every time.
This is our new go-to restaurant, only because we discovered it just 3 weeks ago.Everything about it is fabulous! The service, ambiance, and food is all outstanding! We try new items, for us, each time. So far we’ve had calamari, focaccia bread, Osso Bucco, lasagna, bolognese spaghetti, salmon, lamb chops, penne pasta with Italian sausage, Margarita pizza, limoncello cake, and the chocolate cake. All of it has been excellent! We love this place!
Loved the patio, food and service were excellent!!!
My wife and I had 8:00PM reservations to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant was not crowded. From the time we sat down it became apparent that the goal of the wait staff, including our waitress Sarah, was to get us out as soon as possible. Half way through our meal, she closed the windows on the patio and turned out the candles which provided some ambiance. She was almost disappointed when we ordered a dessert. We were out by 9:00. So much for a romantic meal. While our food was good, we will not return.
Loved the entire experience! Great food, wine, service and ambiance! Can’t wait to go back!
Have the swordfish carpaccio! And the eggplant parmigiana!! And the branzino!! Omg. Everything was awesome. And the retractable roof over the patio makes a great patio experience.
Very impressed with our overall experience, service is very big at this restaurant our waiter was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and constantly kept checking on us, food was so delicious I only gave 4 stars because on one of the dishes I had to add salt and pepper however all in all the chef deserves props for the delicious food. In conclusion it’s a good Italian spot in Dallas.
Parents weekend - went with a group of 8 - everyone enjoyed there meals and drinks. Would go again - everyone raved
We had a horrible time. The tables were way to close to each other. There was a family with 3 screaming kids. So disruptive to all the guests in the restaurant. And it went on for a hour before the parents finished and never acted like anything was wrong. Manager could have ask them quietly to remove the screaming infants so not to disturb the whole restaurant. Service was horrible. Took forever to order a drink and waited so long to actually get it brought to the table. And same for the dinner. Once we got our dinner it was totally wrong. I got a dish as well as my husband that we didn’t even order. We brought friends for the their first time and sadly they will never come back. Manager seemed very upset and tried to fix all the mess ups but it wasn’t a wonderful experience. But the food was good, despite all the mix ups.
Chef Farris has very high standards. Dinner (zuppa di pesce and pasta all’aglia e oglio) was perfect,as always. The mussels are the best in Dallas.
The proprietor was very rude to us when we asked for a Restaurant Week menu. He said he was not participating and did not need new patrons. He went on and on for a few minutes. I asked him if we could start over, we would like to have a pleasant evening and he finally backed off but never apologized for his nasty behavior.
Our waiter made up the difference! He was the opposite of his boss. Kind, informative and efficient. He described dishes and helped us make choices. The food was very good and all 6 of us were pleased with our meal and waiter. We enjoyed each other's company which made our evening just fine.
Peter was an excellent waiter
Good food, the menu and prices do not correspond to that of the opentable site, but the chef satisfies the customers' requests.
Recommended for those looking for Italian cuisine.
Three generation family dinner. They are mindful of our grandson’s food allergies. We can relax snd enjoy a night out.
We always have the salt encrusted fish and it’s always great.
First visit, food was great! Owner was very nice and made sure we were taken care of throughout
Great authentic Italian dining!!
The food was fantastic. Modest environment... Great service!
Incredible local gem! We shared the snapper for 2, as recommended by our server Brad, and it was divine. Perfectly cooked and the vegetables accompanying it were delicious. We added a side of the gnochietti with the Texas boar ragu and finished with a slice of limoncello cake. We will certainly be back!
Incredible neighborhood gem. The service was wonderful and the food was out of this world. We are definitely going to be making this a regular date night and family dinner spot!
