This was our 2nd time eating at Ziya. My 18yr old son said it was his favourite restaurant after the last time we ate here so thought we'd try it again to celebrate my husband's birthday. Once again we had a gorgeous meal and will definitely return very soon - the food is absolutely gorgeous, the ambience in the restaurant is great and the staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly. Thank you

The food was amazing and staff was friendly. If I have a complaint, it was that the men's washroom was very cold and unheated (this should be addressed). I will definitely go back there many times, since the food really was exquisite.

Me and my dad went to Ziya for a bit of a get-together. I'd never been before but it had always looked interesting, so we thought we'd give it a go. I'm so glad we did - the food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious (I can personally recommend the lamb jalfrezi), and the service was excellent. Ziya is also licenced, and has a decent selection of drinks, including Cobra on draught. Overall, we paid around £50 for dinner, sides and a few drinks, which is probably a little more expensive than some other places around Rusholme but certainly not unreasonable, and absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back!

Brilliant.
I live (and eat) in London. This was the best Indian meal I've ever had anywhere at a reasonable price - cocktail, poppadoms, starter, main with naan, 2 beers - all excellent quality, service ambience for £32.

I've tried Goan fish curry really outstanding, just ask them less spicy. Peshwari lamb chops were melted in my mouth, loved butter naan and kulfi for dessert. A bit expensive compare to other same level restaurants. Staff were very afficient and friendly. Music wasn't impressive too loud..

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

Firstly the food was gorgeous with great presentation and ample servings, so much so that it pained me to leave some as both my friend and I were just too full. Doggy bags were offered though to take home if needed and I saw plenty of diners opting for this - I guess we weren't the only ones having trouble finishing!

Secondly the welcome we received and service during our time dining was exceptional. All the staff were pleasant, helpful and chatty. One of the waiters even called a taxi for us and even walked us to it. Nothing was too much trouble.

Will definitely visit again when in Manchester.

Highly recommended.

I've been to Ziya twice now and both times I have been amazed by the quality of the food and the experience in general. The interior of the restaurant is attractive, modern and sleek with ambient warm lighting and the staff are very friendly.

They have an excellent selection of vegetarian dishes, each more delicious than the last. The price of the food and portion size are another massive plus here - I have never eaten so well for such reasonable prices before.

Overall I would recommend Ziya over any other restaurant in the area, absolutely worth a visit!

From the moment of walking in the staff make sure you are made to feel welcomed but not overbearing. The venue is beautifully decorated . The menu is small but a great choice of starters and mains. A great drinks selection including Cocktails and Mocktails. The food is plentiful, tasty full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The team will explain about each dish giving the background of how its cooked ( if asked).
We went early Friday evening but even though they were getting busy you didn't feel rushed or being pushed to move on. We each had a Drink, Poppadums, Starter and a Main meal with rice and nan and for four the bill was £88 which we were more than happy with and thought for the service and gorgeous food received it was a fair price to pay

Choosing a place to eat in Rusholme is always difficult, because there are so many restaurants to choose from, and so many chances to choose a bad one. There's a tendency to find one you like and stick with it in case another might not be so good.
But I decided I wanted to try another and from the reviews and ratings on OpenTable, I chose Ziya. And I'm glad I did.
The places is very modern and clean. Although it doesn't look huge, they do have a seating area upstairs as well. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble, even when I wanted to order something that wasn't on the menu. But the food was even more of a highlight than the ambience and the service. Everything was cooked perfectly, with exactly the right amount of spice that the menu suggested, and even the sides like rice and chips were made interesting and presented well.
I's going to be difficult to try anywhere else next time I'm in town and looking for a decent Indian restaurant.

Had a delicious curry here before a gig at Manchester Academy. The staff were very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. I asked for a recommendation and ordered the lamb shank curry. I have never had so much meat in a curry before, and it was really good quality. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Having tasted other places previously I felt ziya curries were mild.
Our favourite was the rahara lamb, tasted richer full of flavours. however the biryani was almost tasteless whilst the malabar fish and desi lamb were disappointing curries and does not taste the 3 chilies spice rate they claim to be. The food was more a gentle taster for beginners who wish to try curry.
service was excellent with helpful and attentive staff.

Following reviews, we tried it. Menu is not as extensive as city restsurants, but still plenty of choice for all tastes. Presentation is superb, good sized portions, and quality ingredients. The naan's are the best we have ever eaten. This is a light modern "indian", most definately the best we have ever eaten in. The service was second to none. Cannot wait to return. Thanks to zyia Asian for wonderful evening.

Was staying locally for business and stumbled across this restaurant/brasserie. Food was amazing and uniquely presented. Service and staff were brilliant also.
A lovely, clean, fresh restaurant offering a wide range of drink choices and the cocktail menu looked great (couldn't partake myself worst luck!).
If I find myself back in the area I'll definitely pay another visit.

I went to ziya for a Valentine's day meal. The restaurant was lovely and staff very friendly. However it was not made clear to me when booking that there was a special Valentine's menu that night with only two mains to pick from, and that we could not order from the main menu. staff were very helpful however a bit unorganised at time, someone taking our order then someone coming over straight after to take it again for example. also we were asked if we had paid a deposit, I feel that was something the waitresses should have known. on two occasions my drink was taken before I had finished drinking it.

overall I did think the night was nice, the table was set well and I was given a rose., the menu was the disappointing thing for me, we were expecting to splash out however we were limited to a small choice of £25 per head.
