Zizzi - Bournemouth Ratings and Reviews
Always friendly up-beat service with a smile. Food quality always excellent ... the best Zizzi we have visited. Even though their cooker had broken that evening they still managed to serve excellent pizzas, calamri , sweets & drinks with a smile & still to a high standard. Well done guys. Recommended
This was the first visit to Zizzie in Bournemouth everything was excellent the only thing that would put me off from returning would be that the chairs were too hard and should have had cushions as I like to be absolutely comfortable when sitting for a meal.
Lovely warm welcome as always. Great service from Eva. Nice to go somewhere where the food is consistent and the staff remember who you are, what you like and make you feel like friends rather than customers.
Love Zizzis in bournemouth. Our kids are greeted by name and with hugs and smiles. Cant really fault it. Be nice. Nice comes back with interest.
We visited Zizzi in Bournemouth on a Saturday evening, it was busy and had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very polite and attentive and the food was fantastic. I am a vegetarian and they happily changed items on the menu to accommodate me. 10 out of 10, we will definitely come again.
Really great. Came to Zizi in Bournemouth after another booking fell through and as a party of about 11 with kids giving late notice on Mothers Day were all impressed by the welcome we got. The service was very attentive and they were very accommodating. I ate from a set menu, which for around £18 offered a good range of options and was great value for three courses with prosecco.
We went to Zizzis in Bournemouth before going to the Panto on Christmas eve. We had the set menu which was fab and the kids menu was loved by our two. Food is great and the real star was the service which was attentive and friendly. We will definitely return.
Zizzi's Bournemouth is right in the heart of the town and a good place to eat whilst shopping or for an evening out.
The food and service are good and the docor very nice, especially for an evening meal.
I would not sit outside and eat at this restaurant as you are sitting right by the street which is very dirty, so not so pleasant.
Very welcoming, friendly staff and given a choice of tables on arival. Food was very good but we waited a 30-40 minutes for our mains. Were in no rush so said nothing. Waiter noticed, apologised and knocked our starters off the bill. Slow but good service and great atmosphere.
I spent 35 minutes calling them to change my reservation but they kept hanging up saying they can’t hear me, if they took the cordless phone into a quiet room they could hear me but they didn’t so very frustrating. They could not find our reservation either as it was made on this app so I’m guessing u less the restaurants check their emails they have no idea we’ve booked!
When we got there it was very loud, so loud my father had to take his hearing aid out as it was so loud which then meant we couldn’t talk to him as he could not hear us. Food was great as always but customer service and speed was poor as usual but I keep going back as the food is great
I have booked Zizzi's twice through OpenTable both bookings were confirmed, on both occassions Zizzi did not have my reservation when I arrived at the Bournemouth branch of Zizzi. We were left waiting for a table, rather disappointing. Once we did get seated the food was very nice.
Food was generally ok but it took a long time to get served. We were a group of six people and we were seated close to the kitchen and it was very hot and we asked to get another table which was only granted when we were served desert. We were also seated next to a couple of rather noisy groups which made it almost impossible for our group to speak together Overall rather disappointing experience compared to experience we had at the chains London restaurants
I have had meals before at other Zizzi's restaurants and can't complaint as even my local town's (believe me, small town) Zizzi has more choice than Zizzi-Bournemouth. Booked the table for 9pm, so it's not that late considering it was a bank holiday weekend in Bournemouth. Starters took forever to come, and then followed by mains. Food was acceptable. When we came to order desert, out of all the deserts on the menu and 3 attempts to order and having staff coming to us apologising but "we haven't got this", it turns out they only had Sorbets!! We gave up in the end, and just asked for our bill. Absolutely shocking considering it was bank holiday weekend, on the seaside. Obviously management are not well organised in keeping good stock levels or good in a sales prospective. I really regret that we spent our money in there, where there were other local restaurants that we could of spent our money and at least had a desert!!!Not impressed!
Half a dozen smokers blocked the front door and we had to push our way through. Twenty minutes before anyone came to our table, my gin and tonic was served without any gin, the food was badly presented and pretty ordinary and certainly not value for money. We declined puddings, cut our losses and, on our 11th wedding anniversary, went home and watched Last Night of the Proms on TV!
Been a fan of zizzi and been to bournemouth restaurant before. very dissapointing visit. flies flitting around so we moved table but still they were there. 2 out of 3 mains arrived incorrectly so 1 person ate whilst we waited. not good. highly unlikely i'll see the inside of a zizzi again.
Was awful we were given a small table and we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 5. When the food arrived I mentioned is this the size table that people of 4 normally get. I was told it depends on the amount of food that is ordered! We still didn't get moved to a larger table and struggled eating through the meal. Appalling!!
Unfortunately had a terrible experience! Went with husband and two friends who were visiting from London, my husband and I ordered starters and we all ordered our mains. Our starters arrived and were nice. In the meantime my friend's order got changed twice as the waitress had not been informed by the chef that lots of items had run out! Anyway their order finally went in and they received their mains whilst we were in the middle of our starters! They consequently finished their meal whilst our mains were nowhere in sight which was ridiculous as obviously we wanted to eat together. We therefore cancelled our mains and were very disappointed. The manager apologised and we only paid for our drinks but that is not the point. Bad form to run out of sea bass and their special chicken dish at 7.30pm on a Saturday night!
