Zizzi - Camberley
Summer Deals is great value for money!
Wonderful service and nice food happy to have been
Went to Zizzi for the first time as our twin boys wanted to celebrate their 10th birthday there. The staff showed zero recognition of their birthday despite our telling them! (Pizza Express, all is forgiven!) No warm welcome either!
The mains were very good. The courgette fritters had next to no courgette (counted about 3 green bits in the entire bowl, the rest was just batter) and my 10 year olds pointed out that the prawn popcorn had NO prawn flavour at all! I mentioned this to the staff who then promptly pointed out that thats how they are! She then checked with the chef and confirmed this again - that's how they are meant to be! Pathetic attitude! Any decent restaurant would have showed some consideration! So on our boys' tenth birthday we left Zizzi with a fat bill and a bad taste in our mouths! We won't be back in a hurry!
Love Zizzi's, tasty food, excellent service and value for money.
Our waitress was very nonchalant and not friendly. The food was awful. The pizza dough did not tast fresh and seemed undercooked. The pizza toppings were sparse also. Generally not welcoming and poor quality food and wine. Go next door to pizza express.
Just want to say how spot on our waitress was. We love zizzis Camberley. It's our goto restaurant for all occasions. Recommend the cicchetti sharing board, king prawn linguine and lamb meat balls. Amazing.
Booked this online, confirmation received by email, but when we got there our booking wasn't in their diary! Thankfully they could accommodate us as it was an early evening booking pre-theatre but would have been very poor if they had been full up. Does booking online through Open Table work at this restaurant?!
I chose Zizzi's for my birthday as a family meal, I havw 3 teenage children and two elderly parents, the menu caters well for us all, the service is excellent and the atmosphere warm and friendly.
Lovely service as always in my favourite Zizzi's!
Food was great and enjoyed the drinks.
Good value - excellent service with good ambiance - we eat here quite often and it is always the same standard
excellent service let down by average food. The king Prawn Linguine lacked heat and the prawns were over cooked and the sauce bland
Pleasant venue - good food and service Italian Style - a little noisy
Catering for all ages (we were 70 to 6 years old) and large numbers (we were 13 in all), Zizzis excelled herself. Our server Sarah, could not have done more for us. She was patient with the children who changed orders : wanted this one but with out that ; dithered and could not make up their minds. She was great.
The food is just as you know it is going to be. Pizzas are their show item (open wood fire visible from the dining room) but all mix and match options are possible.
We wanted to enjoy a meal ahead of the screening of Hamlet. The food and service were both very good. Most enjoyable and will return. We had a meal at Zizzi's a few weeks ago and the service was extremely slow, we were pleased that when we returned the service had vastly improved.
This was a Sunday lunch to celebrate my mother's (85th!) birthday. The service was good and the food tasty and generous. My father, who frequently ate in Italy during his career, said that it was the best lasagne he had ever eaten. It was an excellent meal enjoyed by all three of us in the party. The prices were modest. The restaurant is clearly very popular and was full with a rather noisy ambience and lots of families and children. Maybe not great for a quiet romantic meal but probably what you would expect on a Sunday lunchtime. The menu is fairly limited but with some imaginative touches and includes vegetarian and lower-calorie options. It's not for the self-conscious gourmet but, for good quality Italian food at a very reasonable cost, this would be hard to beat. Booking through Top Table was completely unproblematic and we were clearly expected and shown immediately to our table. There was a problem with the preparation of our desserts but we were kept informed and had no need to rush such a pleasant meal. The service was just right: Well paced and unobtrusive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Drinks arrived after our food and the inclusive desert arrived 20 mins after everyone else had finished. Two of our party had left and we were still waiting for the desert which was the Ruby chocolate cake. Restaurant was half empty by this time. They also had no record of our booking even tho we had an email and confirmed booking with Open Table. Not sure who was at fault, booking service or app. To be fair to restaurant they found us a table even tho they were busy at that stage.
5 of us went and so enjoyed the food. Our waiter was polite and helpful and tended to us well despite the fact it was so busy. It did get quite noisy in there due to numbers of people talking so would be difficult for anyone hard of hearing! We had a lovely evening, couldn't fault it.
We arrived just after 8, post-cinema. Like other comments here, I'm not sure whether they HAD our TopTable booking, but we were fitted in easily. It's a good, general Italian menu, and we were both happy with our choices. Food arrived quite fast. All very busy, but that's to be expected at that sort of time at a weekend. We were VERY happy with it all.
Booked online via open table, turned up to the restaurant only to be told they had no reservation and wanted us to wait 20 mins for a table. A complete JOKE! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant
We experienced a high standard of service despite the restaurant being busy.
A good location for groups (we were a group of 8).
The service, meal and atmosphere could not be faulted. We had a fantastic overall experience at this location and will definitely be returning in the future. Would recommend this as a great dining experience for anyone looking for an Italian meal for any occasion.
We had a good time at this great restaurant. The food was good, the service excellent, and the overall experience was worth the money.
Great food, good atmosphere. Very fast service....dishes arrived really quickly so we were in good time for the cinema. Would recommend to friends.
I booked a table for 10 through Top table but on arriving at the restaurant then didn't have the booking on their system. fortunately they were able to seat us anyway.
Zizzi's was great as ever... Next time though I'll just phone and make the booking as they had no idea of my booking via top table.
We enjoyed our trip to this restaurant.
The fondu cheese starter was excellent.
Great pasta dishes.
They were 15 mins late with our table. Service recovery was excellent with updates and a free drink at the bar. The menu is well constructed with plenty of variety. Bees are clod and served in chilled glasses. All in all for a reasonable price a pleasant place too eat. Only criticism is that early evening there are a lot of kids in there, but that coz mine have grow up now :-)
Food generally good although can get busy before cinema times. Worth booking.
Good stop after cinema. Between christmas and new year so small tapas plates were perfect choice.
I have no bad comments about Zizzi but I will never book a table through ;'top table' again as the restaurant did not have any booking for me and my daughter, even though I had the emailed confirmation and a reminder sent through the day of the booking!!! So annoyed as could have ruin a good evening as we had cinema tickets are were on a tight deadline. Luckily the staff at Zizzi managed to find us a table, even though the restaurant was packed out. I will phone direct to the restaurant for future bookings as the staff have experiencec this problem with online bookings before!!!!!
We had smoked trout insalate and squid ink linguine, food was well presented and tasty. Only minus was the ambience; very noisy.
I have dined here before so many times and it was my favourite place. But on this visit my food was terrible.
The menu has changed. My Pizza was dry and lacked fillings plus the Italian sausage did not taste nice. My partner had the new small choices menu of liitle pieces of different things..just not good. The old menu was super or maybe the chefs have changed. staff were lovely as was the place. Sorry just did not eat the food and it was very expensive.
Great service, lack of gluten free choices! Would go back with out a doubt. Thank you
I took my wife and daughter to Zizzi - Haywards Heath for an impromptu meal out & we weren't disappointed.
Upon arrival we were greeted warmly & shown to the table.
Our waiter, Kris, was friendly, professional & courteous - he knew his stuff, nothing was too much trouble & he was one of the best waiting staff members from anywhere I have had the pleasure of dining at.
Drinks, starters & mains all arrived in a timely manner & were all hot, amply portioned, as ordered & tasty!
We went to Zizzi in Camberley for an informal 3 generation family get together; slightly busy at 6pm on a Christmas shopping Saturday so some of the slight delays could be overlooked. Generally cheerful food and atmosphere- food tended to be safely overcooked (mussels, then risotto) but fine!
We arrived at Zizzi in Camberley earlier than we had booked for but were easily accommodated. The restaurant had a nice bustle and the service was good. Food of exactly the quality we would expect from a major high street chain. Staff are quite focussed on pushing sides/starters etc - which we didn't want although we did have a pudding.
Zizzi - Camberley
Although my reservation from top table hadnt gone through, the staff were very quick to find a free table, surprising for a friday night.
Food was lovely as always and service fairly speedy.
Restaurant very noisy but it was full, so was to be expected.
Met some friends in Zizzi in Haywards Heath. Very friendly atmosphere and prompt service, waiter very attentive. We had vouchers for three of us which gave either a starter and main or main and pudding for around £10.50. We shared a starter and the other two had a pudding and we had a bottle of wine. Still, the bill came to nearly £65. Quite expensive for a bowl of pasta and a glass of wine!
Lovely food and great service - would definitely recommend
