Zizzi - Chichester
Lovely food and service. Great Venu for a birthday celebration
Maitra D seemed like he couldn't give two hoots, wasn't interested in our open table reservation, he didn't seem to be tracking them. He put our table of 5 at the back of the restaurant and wasn't helpful when we wanted to move. Despite there being better tables available. We settled with what we were offered as we're hungry (family). Our waiter was better, which balanced the service.
Food was good. Delivered hot, service a little slow but not the waiters fault. Seemed understaffed.
Kitchen staff (we were next to them) were unprofessional and talking quite loudly about how they would like to date (for want of a better word) one of the waiters sisters.
Wouldn't return to this branch. Not up to my previous experience of Zizzi. Had I known I would have ate at Portsmouth. As it ruined our break a little.
Zizzi restaurants are always a reliable and 'safe bet'. I dined at the Chichester branch and found it good on all counts - food, service, price etc. Recommend
We made a reservation while walking to the restaurant. We were almost 20 minutes early and the restaurant hadn't even received the OpenTable reservation yet, but they cleared a table and had us seated in 5 minutes even though they were clearly quite busy. Service was excellent, our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating, and the food was quite good and well worth the price. The ambience was nice although quite loud where we were seated. Overall a very nice dinner.
Not very happy with our food on our last visit. The potatoes were over done ,some hard and burn't and the shoulder of lamb was mostly bone and there was no mint sauce .The orange juice was watered down with loads of ice.Staff all very friendly.
Really poor experience. No table reserved when we got there - claimed they never received the open table booking. Very cold as draft constantly from opening door. Very slow and in friendly service. Cold plates for food. I won't be going back
Probably the most honest Italian restaurant I've come across in Chichester. Food is really fresh and tasteful, service is swift and friendly. All in all a very pleasant discovery.
Lovely meal and friendly staff. Always a favourite place to eat.
The meal was good. We got there at 7 and by 9 we still hadn't had our main course however, we were given a free drink. But the main complaint was I booked a table for 4 through Opentable, they sent a confirmation email straight away and then a reminder the day before our booking and, then, when we got there, they didn't have our reservation! Luckily for us they could accommodate us but I would have been pretty annoyed if they had been too busy to. Next time I will print off the confirmation, but if they were full there wouldn't be much you could do about it! Not impressed with Opentable
Have eaten here many times and tonight (sat 30th may) it was disappointing. At 6.30pm they'd run out of fish! The waitress could barely speak English which was hard work for us as she had to keep asking her co-waitress to check that she'd understood what we were asking for! On the back of that they forgot our drinks so we sat there like a couple of dry lemons before we had to remind them! Not a good experience. Lots of choice in chi and won't be rushing back.
Always love going to Zizzi, as you know the food is tasty and cooked fresh.
I had booked a table for four but they didn't have it on their system.
A table was found but they were unbelievably busy so we had to wait an hour for our food.
Staff were helpful though and we would consider visiting again.
In the end Zizzi is in the cheap and cheerful category, so what should I be expecting? I went to Bill's last week, where the food was good value, service attentive, and when there was a delay in a second coffee arriving, the bill was reduced as well as an authentic sorry.
In Zizzi, first, they were not aware of my on line booking using Top Table, and I did not feel as if any attempt was made to take responsibility for this. However, we did get a table. I am thinking, what will happen to my record on Top Table as now I may appear to be somebody who does not turn up when I have made a booking. What about my points?
The delay in the main course, and no management follow up when this was raised twice was the real problem.
Always a buzzy atmosphere in an interesting building. Friendly staff but could do with more staff at peak times ie now as service was slow. Good menu choices for informal dining.
We took our 11 month old for an early dinner, it was a Friday and there was only one other table occupied. The service was good despite there being only one waitress on duty at the time, the food was tasty and good value.
We booked a table at 8 which was confirmed by your system.
When we arrived, we were not listed as booked.
Zizzi did not update the booking sheet at reception from 5.30 that evening.
Your system fell down !
very rude staff and seriously slow service. This used to be our favourite restaurant in Chichester as we have been going there for more than 5 years, but the management has clearly changed and we won't be going back anytime soon.
Zizzi's is great but they print out their reservations list at the beginning of the day so using top table to book on the day is useless. Fortunately the staff were great and found us a table anyway.
This was one of many dining experiences for me at Zizzi, this time in Chichester. It was an enjoyable meal and the staff were friendly as always.
The rocket salad was wilted; the gran padana shaved on top of it was insultingly mean.
The carbonara was initially oily and nasty and the portion size was basically a starter size.
The waitress tried to argue that the portion was a decent size, like I've never actually had a meal before. I'm 41. I've had meals before. I know what a main course portion of pasta looks like, and this was not it.
I did persuade her to get it taken back, and I was then supplied with a decent-sized portion, so good on her for that. The oily character was also then gone; clearly, someone else had made the second attempt, so there is no consistency in the kitchen.
Otherwise perfectly pleasant.
Zizzi Chichester is a great place to eat. A lovely building and lovely food with good service and excellent value.
Although the meal at ZIZZI was very good, I was rather embarrassed that they refused to accept the toptable cheque. What is the point of these things if they don't work?
Zizzi in Chichester provides good service and very good food. The ambiance is a little lacking as the lighting is a little too bright for my taste. The seating in the middle of the room comprises hard chairs with no padding! (memories of school canteens spring to mind.....) Wonderful salad with a great Lettuce: Vegetable ratio; quality wine, but the dough sticks seemed a bit tough, like warmed up leftovers from lunch.
Service brilliant, nothing too much trouble for the staff. Going back soon!
Went to Zizzi Chichester with the family whilst on rugby tour. The space was light and airy but very quiet. However, the waitress was very friendly and helpful. We were asked if we wished to have a drink whilst we ordered (some chains don't do this and it bugs me no end) and she returned with drinks and took our order. Food was all perfectly good - I particularly enjoyed my spicy pizza and would go back to have it again.
Gorgeous setting for a relaxed dinner. Even though it was Mother's Day and the restaurant had been very busy for lunch and late lunch, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly atmosphere, and nice environment. Enjoyed our meal out with friendly staff.
Zizzi in Chichester is good, even on a Saturday night! Food excellent, service fast and friendly.
Zizzi in Chichester
Staff charming & attentive. Two main dishes rated 100% excellent and 75%.
Decor most attractive & original; service speedy; will definitely go again.
Zizzi, Beaconsfield. Food good and good value, although a couple of menu items were not available - surprising for early on a mid-week night. Also one main course arrived almost 10 minutes after the rest of the party.
Had a lovely meal at Zizzi, Beaconsfield - as always! Very busy - nice party atmosphere, the party season has begun!
We had a quick pre-theatre meal at Zizzi - Chichester. Very friendly welcome and bussy atmosphere with lots of families and children being indulged by parents and staff! Food was OK and nothing more or less than we expected. Served by friendly staff. Good vfm.
Last night myself and four girlfriends went to Zizzi in Beaconsfied-excellent food and staff,it was a fun night and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We couldn't fault it!
Zizi in Beaconsfield is a good family meal out venue.
Dinner at Zizzi Chichester during Goodwood Revival. Had small tapas-like plates for starters, reasonable quality but confusingly sold as 3 for £12.95 but we were charged £15 for them. Good but the arancini very oily. Mains a bit better - tasty, reasonable quality. Large servings. Very nice wine at fair prices. Pudding excellent. Service outstanding. Experienced wait staff, polite, knowledgeable, consistent, worthy of fine dining actually. Would return.
Visited Zizzis in Chichester and had a good meal and service usual Zizzis standard
Zizzi Beaconsfield. Staff friendly but too few of them for a busy Saturday night.
Food was good, and good value. Two members of our party of 6 had to wait 10 minutes longer for their main course than the rest. Both were offered a free drink, coffe and dessert to compensate, which was appreciated. Not a big problem as we were in no hurry. We'll go back during the week when it's less busy to give it another chance.
ZZizi - Beaconsfield:
Excellent service and very good food - address a bit confusing as it is most definitely in Beaconsfield and NOT in Amersham!!!
Scary that 2 beers cost more tthan one dinner though!!!
This was our second meal at Zizzi in Chichester. The food was as delicious as before, especially their garlic bread with cheese. Unfortunately they were much busier than they had clearly expected, and were therefore shortstaffed. Despite calling in an extra waitress, they were struggling to cope with the number of tables and service was therefore exceptionally slow. We waited over an hour for our main course, before receiving any kind of apology for the delay. Hopefully better next time.
Zizzi Beaconsfield - lovely new menu, food step up from more recent visits, including non-pizza/pasta offerings, nice new decor too.
