Zizzi - Kenilworth
Restaurant fairly empty yet we were squeezed into what should be a table for 2 for four people. When stated this, the staff just shrugged their shoulders
We were looking forward to trying a different place.
Possibly just a bad meal! Food sounded nice but arrived bland and pasta was cold would try again in future. May be weekend when there busy.
The welcome was okay, the service was good and the staff checked twice that our food was acceptable. Very friendly staff but even they admitted the noise levels were high making it difficult to have a conversation. Good place to eat spoilt a little by the noise.
A bit of a soulless place, but the pizzas are excellent!
Restaurant was closed.

We turned up for our booking and the entire place was shut - why take our booking and then close? This was midday on a Saturday!
Very good, but my booking through Open Table did not appear in the restaurant's records which was rather disconcerting.
My meal was lovely at Zizzi's however my booking had not been confirmed with them through open table, they had space so this wasn't a problem - however we were told that this was an on going issue with open table and to book direct with them next time which is what we will do !!
The food was lovely however I had originally booked for a different time and changed this. They still had us down for the original time we booked for. The manager was quite rude and said he had given our table away. However they did manage to seat us as i was able to prove I changed it via open table email. Food was nice and the waitress was lovely. The manager needs a lesson in customer service from his waitress. His approach could have been different.
Very dirty toilets, cold food, supercilious service
Starter was great but my sea bass was overcooked and hard and chewy.
Probably a bad example of a Zizzi. Most issues concerned the waiting staff who didn't seem to be trained very well. Food was fine.
A very pleasant if somewhat noisy place to dine. Good choices of courses, with reasonably priced wine list. Service was good even though the restaurant was full on our visit. Definitely worth a second visit.
Fabulous service - busy restaurant - people of all ages eating - good value for money - would highly recommend.
Great food and excellent service. The restaurant was very busy but it seemed to have no impact on th attentiveness of the staff or the speed and quality of the food.
cant fault Kenilworth Zizzis at all! Exceedingly friendly staff, prompt service and lovely food! Even the skinny pizza I had was lovely! The cheesy mushroom starter was heavenly and my husband's lamb made me wish I wasn't a vegetarian! Will definitely come back!
Disappointed. It was my wife's birthday and we decided to come to Zizzi's for a meal. I had booked on line and when we arrived, there was no record of a reservation. Luckily, you weren't busy that night. We ordered a starter and when we finished, it was almost instantly followed by the main course. We ordered drinks with the main, but these didn't arrive until we had finished the meal. Also a spoon wasn't available for the spaghetti and took five minutes to get the attention of the waitress to ask her for one. Not worth the money and I'm sorry to say, we won't be coming back.
What a lovely place. First time there. Staff were great very relaxed but efficient. They didn't put any pressure on us to take our order and were very understanding when my group were 49mins late in arriving. Highly recommend . The food was delicious . Fab ! Thank you
I used open table to book a meal for my birthday in 18/08 @ ZiZi kenilworth.
When we arrived we were greeted with a closed sign as the resteraunt was closed for a refurbishment.
This was extremely disappointing. Why was this booking made if the place was closed?????
Our table got moved back an hour as the restaurant was full at the time shown. One of our starters were forgotten and never arrived, which was fine, however the mushroom risotto was so watery it was sloppy and reduced the taste. The Chocolate Banana Calzone however was superb!
We've eaten here several times and the food has always been really nice. My husband loves the spicy prawn linguine (quite hot) and my favourite has been the Chicken piccante pasta. The service is very good and the staff are very friendly.
Enjoy catching up with a friend over nice Italian food (even my Italian friend enjoyed) and receiving vouchers towards bill! Love the bread, my favourite.
Food is very good and reasonable. The selection of wine is good and it's always got a good atmosphere! Always friendly staff. We only went as I have a taste card but will be back!!
As nice as the food looks, the flavours didn't exist. Needed to taste as good as it looked. We went with track vouchers but if u r paying out of your pocket then it's a lot for wot they serve. Plenty of room for improvement in the flavour area..
Perfect for a leisurely lunch with friends. Good speedy service
When I booked the table using your website I had requested a round table as it is more convivial but this was not reserved for us, the staff were apologetic and and gave me a glass of presecco on the house to apologise. The staff were very welcoming and helpful but unfortunatley one of our guests had requested no sundried tomatoes on her pizza and it came with extra sundried tomatoes much to her annoyance as she does not like them and had to pick them off! Again they did offer to change it but she wanted to eat with the rest of us so opted to take them offer herself! Having said all of this I did have a good night and the ambience was very pleasant as were the staff and the 25% off the food voucher we had made us even happier!
Lovely Meal at Zizi's, good use of booking system with Open Table as only decided to go out for something to eat at 7.30pm and booked via online app by 7.35pm
The service was outstanding. The best we've had in the UK!
We opted to come here as the chain is a known quantity and we just wanted something not too fussy to eat. The waiting staff were very nice albeit a little bit business like. We ordered the fonduta formaggi to start- we could have done with 1 more bread stick each as there was still fondue left. For main course we each had the rustica bistecca formaggi. A nice tasting dish. Unfortunately it only had 4 very thin slices of steak on it which we thought was a bit stingy for £12.50 and half of my bites of pizza had no topping at all on it. The picture of another type of pizza on the website shows it being quite heaped and this really wasn't. I think if we had taken the toppings off both we would have made a great dish.
We eat from the Mother's Day set menu, food was lovely and the service was very good also. As with all Italian restaurants (Bella Italia etc) the drinks are way overpriced and always limited to Peroni larger......show some imagination guys!!!!! That said, we had a lovely time.
I went with family on a saturday evening for dinner, for our first and last time. The service was extremely poor we were very disappointed, food was only average had to remind them several times about what was ordered. It was quiet only a few table with customers on, hence no excuse for poor service. We wouldn't go there again or recommend it.
The meal was very good, pretty cheap, and the waiter was great fun. The desert at the end was also worth it. Highly recommended!
A pleasant evening at Zizzi. Nothing special but no problems either. A good stand by chain restaurant. No doubt we will return.
Enjoyed a delicious meal at Zizzi's on 18th February. We had booked for 5pm prior to going to the theatre. The food was presented to us fresh and hot and because of the time there was no wait for our three courses. The service was excellent and our waitress was very helpful. The only downside was the lack of atmosphere due to not many people eating at that time of day. The restaurant compared favourably with other Zizzi's we have visited and will definitely go again.
Zizzi- Covent Garden
Large open plan restaurant so good for more impersonal meals such as business lunches or a quick meal before theatres. Serving staff very helpful (turned muzak down when asked). Food was good routine chain food (perfectly acceptable at the price)
To get to this branch go down Neal Street (opposite Covent Garden Tube/ next to M&S) then cross the road to the big office block with several restaurants on the ground floor).
Visted this Zizzi's for pre-theatre dinner with family and a friend. Very nice, spacious modern building and conveniently located for the Dominion Theatre. Despite it being fairly quiet when we arrived, it was a approximately 15 minutes before our order was taken (including drinks!).
Food was good, standard Zizzi's fare. We were a bit perplexed when our main courses were brought to us while we were still eating our starters!
All in all the food was good but the service slow.
Zizzi - Covent Garden
8 Central St Giles Plaza, London, WC2H 8LA
Very attentive friendly staff & good food
Only criticism is as other reviews state, advertising as being in Covent Garden is using a bit of Artistic licence to say the least as not really even close to the area
I always enjoy eating at Zizzi in Covent Garden, lovely food! If you plan on going at the weekend I'd definitely recommend booking as it can get very busy.
I had booked a pre theatre meal at Zizzi St Giles Covent Garden for seven people at 5.30 on a saturday evening. The restaurant is not easy to find and is not in Covent Garden! There were very few people eating when we arrived so it lacked atmosphere somewhat. However the food was great, we ate pizzas and pasta and the staff were very friendly and helped to direct us on to the Prince Edward Theatre which was close by.
They didn't have my booking when I showed up on time. They sat me and my party (visiting from Australia) downstairs in the basement with no windows/view. The food was good but the service needed more work. The waiteresses did not look happy to be working or serving anyone and the vibe from them was just not good at all.
