Very good service and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Bright and nicely decorated. Food was good and as expected when ordered.
I went here for dinner with expectations, may be due to recommendation. Salmon dish was hard and was not good at all. No one really cared to ask if everything was ok like all other restaurants.. I would be hard pressed to return here.. Not a great experience. Thankfully it was one off experience in a week of restaurant exploration in NCL.
The staff we had when I surprised my friend for her birthday were attentive, efficient, friendly yet professional.Highly recommended.
8 Ladies met for lunch and we were given a good table. Booking through the site was very easy and straightforward but had problems when I wanted to alter the number of persons from 9 to 8.
The food and service was good but thought it was a little pricey.
Would go back.
Made a reservation via top table about 2 hours before wishing to dine. When we checked with restaurant we were told that they could not fit us in so unfortunately cannot review :(
Firstly I must say it was on a busy Saturday and I booked a table for Zizzi, the restaurant itself may or may not be to blame. However I booked a table for 8pm with Toptable and recieved a call from the manager half an hour later to advise they were actually fully booked and could not accomodate us until near enough 10pm. Clearly there is, or has been a communication breakdown between Toptable and their clients which will need adressing as I spent a good hour or do after this calling around other venues having to book a table.
Very busy and quite noisy, food is well prepared with very good friendly service
Enjoyable meal, but the pizza was too large and we needed a doggy bag to take home half the pizza.
I would like to have had an ice bucket to keep the white wine chilled . Taking every thing in to account my daughter and I enjoyed our meal .
We dined upstairs over looking the ground floor which was a good location.
The waiter was excellent.
We both enjoyed our food pre theatre but it was a little pricy .
Met ex colleagues for a catch up. Great food, could hear everyone across the table in a busy restaurant. Great night.
A perfect location and dining experience for a girlie catch up.
All requests promptly catered for in a lively atmosphere.
We will certainly book Zizzi's for our next get together.
Fab food, fab service, what more do you need. Highly recommended and will be going back for sure.
I stood at the door waiting to be seated for 10 minutes, during which not a single member of staff noticed my prescence. The same happened when another friend arrived. During our visit the service was ridiculously slow. Twice I went to the bar to collect our drinks myself, they had been made by the bar staff, but our waiter didnt collect them and bring them to us, he just left them there sitting while the ice melted. Having to call upon my own waitressing experience when I am out socially is unacceptable. I would also say that the wines and drinks in general are expensive. Fabulous food and beautiful decor. The 3 course meal for £19.95 is brilliant value for money. Just a shame the customer service was so poor.
Food was ok, not as good as previous visits. Service was also not as good as it usually is, but still ok.
Don't make the mistake of visiting Zizzis in Newcastle. The service was the worst experienced for years. It ranged from couldn't be bothered to almost sitcom like activity. The main waiter sneered at any request made. Food turned up in the wrong order and although there were more waiters than customers no one seemed to know how to provide any level of acceptable service. The food was mediocre, there was absolutely no ambience and even though it didn't cost a lot it felt like poor value for money. There are so many great places to eat in Newcastle. Don't choose Zizzis.
The restaurant was very busy so a booking was essential. Service was attentive and our shared starters then mains arrived very quickly so couldn't fault the food or service.
Recommend booking here as it's always very busy early evening.
Went to zizzi s on a Saturday night.
Food great, ambience excellent very busy.
Recommend to all ages
Nice food good quality very helpful service.
The restaurant was very full when we arrived. Our drinks order was taken quickly and served just as quickly. Having theatre tickets we were on a bit of a tight schedule which presented no problem to the staff once we mentioned the situation . Our 5 meals all arrived together well presented and hot. The bill came with the same speed allowing us to leave as soon as we had finished eating. All the staff were helpful and pleasant.
We often pop to Zizi's for a quick bite to eat before hitting the bars in the Town. It's ideal for my husband and I as we like to go out early. The food has always been lovely and we always manage to get a table. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it as so many of the other restaurants in Town are over rated and over priced (and we've tried a fair few of them).
Zizzi's Newcastle was typically lovely. Great salad, starters and calzone. The garlic bread is divine!
This was our first visit to Zizzi's, on Grey Street, Newcastle upon Tyne for a Sunday Lunch.
The whole family realy enjoyed the occasion, and will definately be returning for "seconds".
First time back since the refurbished restaurant opened. The downstairs area is much nicer since the addition of a dividing wall. Food & service as good as ever
We had an early dinner at Zizzi in Newcastle. Our table was ready and it was a good thing we booked a table as the restaurant was very busy with a queue forming. (even at 5:30). The service was prompt and friendly. The food was the usual excellent standard. The atmosphere was lively but not too noisy. The only critisism was the freezing blast of cold air that came in when the restaurant door opened.
Food was very good, although it was not the best value for money. The restaurant also could have done with some music. I think the chairs and tables and the other furniture in the restaurant could be upgraded and made to look less like a cafe.
The restaurant was airy and vibrant .Staff were courteous attentive and helpful. The food and service were very good .All in all this was a very good dining experience and one which I would be happy to repeat
I took my partner for a meal at zizzi in Newcastle for his birthday as it is his favourite restaurant. The food was fabulous and the service was of a very high standard. Can not fault this place and will be returning very soon.
Although very busy, received good service on a Friday night and the food was very good. Well done Zizzi's!
Zizzi in Newcastle. Had a great lunch there; used a discount voucher 2 meals for £13.95 which was great value as their prices seem to have crept up a bit. Food excellent; much better than Pizza Express. Service a little slow; mainly due to a big christmas Party table.
Lovely setting, nice calm atmosphere tasty meals would return.
Good food and good service
Zizzi, Newcastle upon Tyne. Excellent service, fantastic food at reasonable prices. Good atmosphere. Would definitely eat there again.
Zizzi 42-50 Grey Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Service was quick and very efficient. I had my usual spaghetti Chitarra alla Pescatora and although nice, it didn't match up to previous meals both here and in Manchester but I'll still continue to choose it! Booking is essential as it was extremely busy. Very recommended.
Although the table was booked and available we had to wait in a long queue before being asked if we had a booking or being seated. With the exception of the risotto verde (which was inedible - over cooked to the point the rice had disintergrated) the main meals (pasta & pizza) were good. Staff were friendly and attentive despite the restaurant being very busy but it took a long time to be served.
What you would expect from this National Chaim - a step-up from Pizza Hut, etc... good atmosphere here in evenings - often worth booking ahead.
Zizzi - Newcastle. The table service was excellent and the food was of a high standard. Good value for money.
Zizzi in Newcastle upon Tyne was a great place to eat. The service on this occasion was really good, friendly and speedy. I had a small problem with something and they sorted it out speedily efficiently and with a good humour. Thanks for a pleasant fdining experience.
Zizzi 42-50 Grey Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne,
Booking was essential as the place was packed out but the service was quick and very efficient. The Zizzi offer of 2 courses for 10.95 was very good value as it was off the regular menu with just one excluded section. Arancini, mussels and gnocchi were our starters with an order of additional garlic bread & pesto followed by spaghetti Chitarra alla Pescatora, Penne della Casa plus a large pizza completed a very satisfactory meal. Very recommended.
Zizzi Grey St, Newcastle. The waiter service was attentive and polite. The food was nice and to the same standard as other Zizzi restaurants across the UK.
