Zizzi - Port Solent
As usual yet to disappoint us. Good environment and atmosphere at Port Solent, only down side I think Zizzi need to offer variety from their menu, say seasonal menu.
Fantastic service and excellent food. Menu for young children is great.
Was a little sad had booked it on opentable and when we got there it was closed we were really disappointed as no one had let us know it had been closed due to a technical fault so had to find somewhere else at sort notice and it was 8pm so was a little tricky as all busy! Shame as we love it there and it was our first wedding anniversary!
Really nice. One of the best Zizzis I have been too. Waitress was very nice and staff were helpful
Food was lovely
Had a lovely waiter but the restaurant was very busy so took a long time for our food to arrive
Unfortunately the online booking did not get through to the restaurant, which was very embarrassing. The staff found my wife and me a table but the embarrassed start spoilt the evening.
Really enjoy it here
Restaurant didn't have my booking so showed them my confirmation, luckily could fit us in as only table for two, will be apprehensive next time I book and may have to check with the restaurant
The only complaint is the table was to small for adult to eat at
Zizi was very welcoming and the staff were very attentive ,nice place overall and l will recommend my friends to come there.
Service very slow. Not all items on the menu available. Over 2 1/2 hours to finish main course
Firstly we wernt on the pre booked list, then sat down and took 10 mins for us to order drinks/food , waited 35 mins and couldn't get the waiters attention then out food come out before we even had a drink, they forgot a side dish with our food which we told them and took another 10 mins to come out to us, to which when the waiter took our plates she dropped the knife on me, very slow service, rude, would not come back again
The open table website was user friendly. The staff were very friendly, the setting was perfect, the food was amazing and such value for money. Can't wait to go again. The whole experience was fantastic.
Love it here
We arrived at the restaurant to be told there was no booking for us. However, the staff were very helpful and found a table for the six of us without too much difficulty.
Great value Christmas menu and the food was delicious. The waiter was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for service.
The food was generally good though the others on my table seemed to find their food a bit tastier than the pasta with ragu I had. That said it was all nice and the service was brilliant.
Lovely food, the tables were full up of very loud large groups of woman.
Ideal place for groups, business meetings as very very noisy
We always have a great meal at zizzi with super service. Consistent in the presentation and always hot. When you are a regular customer like us, you know what to expect.
This was a birthday celebration for my 2 daughters aged 37 and 47 we had a lovely time. Good wine good food and good atmosphere. We booked for 3 pm which was a quiet time and we were not rushed.
The food and service were great and we enjoyed our Saturday lunchtime dining experience here. We were celebrating a family member's 85th birthday and he found the meatballs a little spicy and he also had trouble hearing, despite the fact we were in the quietest part of the restaurant. I think it's just a bit loud and clattery for elderly people, but the rest of us enjoyed it.
We thought the tables were really close together, and we could hear other peoples conversations clearly.
We had to be sat right next to the kitchen. Which was very loud. The waitress was very helpful though.
I took my daughters along with 10 friends and family on Saturday for a birthday celebration. The staff were fantastic as was the food. Love this place will be back again soon.
Food was lovely and good value just really slow service.
I've probably eaten here 3 times and despite my friends not having rave reviews about this Zizzi restaurant, it's the first time I've had a bad experience.
Waiter service was poor and very unknowledgeable. While a friend & I awaited the rest of our party we were not asked if we wanted a drink despite being sat down for around 10 mins, we had to catch their attention & ask. Our voucher code was also not accepted as it apparently was not valid, yet this was not stated on the T&C's, so we asked to speak with the manager who within 5 seconds said our discount code was ok to be accepted.
Meals took ages to be served, around 40 minutes and I was provided with the wrong meal. As we had already waited a long time and I was starving... I ate what I was provided with, though it definitely was not as tasty as what I was hoping for.
Real shame as I usually love Zizzi's but unfortunately the Port Solent restaurant has let them down & I will think twice about going here again.
We arrived one hour late - a group of seven for lunch on Easter Sunday. The place wax awash with diners. Unfazed the Manager calmly took stock of the situation - placed two tables together and within 3 minutes we had drinks and activity packs for the children. How great was that ?
The menu was wide varied and VERY child focussed, whilst also providing fully for the decerning adult.
Well done Zizzis Port Solent for finding solutions not problems.
If only I had remembered the discount voucher !
A well presented venue with friendly staff. A lively atmosphere and good value for money. A varied and well cooked menu.
Must be said I did make a last minute booking and even had to change that to increase numbers of diners, but they were so accommodating and very helpful.
Service is very good, friendly and helpful. Food is ACE
Went for 3 birthday celebrations mine and my 2 daughters starters was ok but my main meal was completely tasteless I has the prawn and linguine pasta no flavour at all and prawns were rubbery we all sed there was not a lot of flavour in the food my daughter had a chicken pasta dish and it just tasted of gravey and the puddings were so small considering we paid nearly £6 each I am a regular at prezzo and I must say I probably would book my next meal out there as I have never had any complaints at prezzo just wasn't wat I was expecting
We were looking for somewhere for a quick lunch spot and this is perfect for that. Although there is nothing special about the food, it is always consistently good and you know what you are getting.
Once they found our booking (different system because it came through top
Table) they got us to a table and everything was great from there. Food was to a good standard. Service was very good from enthusiastic young people and Port Solent is a very nice venue. Only slight negative was they ran out of one dessert we wanted.
Not a particularly warm welcome nor attentive service. Around 5 main meals sold out on the menu which left a limited choice of pasta or pizza. Disappointing.
We were given an outside table, as requested. Drinks and starters cam promptly. However, bottled lager and glass were warm! The waitress changed them immediately when asked. however, second drink was exactly the same, so again we requested cold lager and a cold glass! Then waited 1 hour for main course. When it finally arrived pizzas good, salad poor and the pasta - bad - overcooked! We complained about the pasta, and were not charged for it. A nice place, but too few staff and no attention to detail - disappointing.
Zizzi at Port Solent were very accommodating when we arrived early because there had been a mix up with our cinema tickets.
Our food was tasty. However I would have liked a little more topping as the pizza was a bit dry.
The staff were very friendly with good service. I liked the layout of the restaurant but it needed a few more people in it for its size, but we did go early & it is just after New Year & a Tuesday .
Service was excellent with special attention to request for a table that would be accessible for a disabled member of the party. Food was very good, slightly more expensive than average but excellent quality.
Very accommodating. Had to wait for table as they were really busy but they paid for a round of drinks at the bar next door and gave us a free bottle of wine. The food was worth waiting for!
Went to Zizzi, Port Solent on a Thursday evening. The current deal of 25% off food not as good as the two for £12. Meal was o.k think this restaurant along with others has good and bad days wrt to chefs.
