Zizzi - Tower Hill
Had a lovely meal and it was good value for money. All of the food was delicious and portions were a good size. The restaurant was quite busy for a late lunchtime and the waiting staff struggled to keep up at times, but they tried their best and it didn't affect our enjoyment of the meal too much.
Me and my family went out for New Year’s Eve this particular Zizzi has to be best. Not only is the food great but the view of London is superb! The location is fantastic.
Good value and fairly child friendly. the booking was for a different branch, which was quite confusing when we turned up at the Start Katherine docks branch! They accommodated us however which was very kind, esp as we had hungry young children. The service was little slow at times... and the waiter was rather abrupt sometimes... but it was a good value and consistent quality for the food.
Absolutely awful !! Booked a table then was turned away !! Staff were rude and could not handle anything. Should just shut it down if they can not handle the amount of customers coming through the door.
Like the floor space but the tables and seats are very dirty
The online booking did not appear to the restaurant members somehow. They were not able to see the booking. This is anote for open table.
Attentive service and food was generalky good. The only slight negative was that one of the desserts, which sgould have been hot, wasn't. It was dealt with quickly and wfficiently.
Love sitting outside at the Zizzi tower hill! It's situated in St Katherine docks right by the water, so the location is beautiful especially in summer!
Good service and yummy food. No long waits between ordering our food & drinks or between starter & mains! Would definitely recommend.
I go here a lot for lunch as I work nearby. Bit noisy as it echo's, but food is nice and staff friendly enough. Price is very reasonable and good veggie options. They mix it up with seasonal food/drink specials which is good also. One of my go-to places.
Food was great, but the portion was abit too small. Wasn't too pricey but for what I paid I expected abit more. The ambience was really nice when we got there. However the waiter did put us on a table in their blindsight and it was hard to get their attention because of it.
Neomi was a horrible server with an attitude.
Came here on New Years Eve after going to the Theatre. It was too busy closer to the theatre so came here. Tower of London is very close and Tower Bridge. The food was good and the staff polite and friendly. Kids and I enjoyed the meal very much. We were able to walk along the Thames after and take in the sights all lit up.
1. We ordered the pre-fix meal on Christmas Eve. The appetizer was missing the calamari because they ran out. Why didn't the server tell us this when we ordered? They were also out of the chocolate cake from the dessert options. Again - we were told too late. Would not have ordered the pre-fix menu had we known.
2. The server was curt, disinterested in our dining experience, and rude.
3. Tables around us remained both empty and full of dirty dishes. It had a negative impact on ambiance.
4. Finally, the restroom/loo was disgusting. Garbage bin was overflowing and there was a wad of HAIR in the sink. Literally, long, brown human hair caught in the drain.
Terrible. Booked a table in advance, but was told there was no record of the booking when we arrived. They then tried to seat our group of 8 on two tables put together for 4 people - the tables were not of the same height, and two of us would have to seat at the junction meaning they can't even put their plates. After complaints we were led to a different table (btw the restaurant was half empty) right next to the bar. And it didn't get better. Service was poor, food was brought up with no cutlery on the table. Through out the dinner the waiters were banging plates and cutlery right behind us. We finished quickly and got the bill, and unwillingly paid twice the service charge (was told that the bill didn't include service, put 10% on the card when prompted by the machine, then realised that a 12% service was included in the bill already. Of course no apology or refund for the extra.)
All in all terrible.
great early dinner with kids present too. good service. food average.
Good food and service. Prices were reasonable and menu choices were plentiful.
The server was really nice and helpful with suggestions of what was good on the menu. Nice buzz on a Saturday night, lots of people and food came quickly and warm (always a bonus) nice quick eat establishment.
Service was good, staff were very polite and the food was lovely.
Will definitely be returning.
Well where do I begin...we reserved a table for 8.45pm on New years eve and the lady at the door struggled to find my name on the list..when we eventually sat down..it was not explained to us that it was a set menu NYE'S Eve. We we left to ponder over the different menus.. we were eventually told by our waitress called Naomi, that it was a set menu, who by the way was extremely rude and very unhospitable. She rushed us to order, so we ended up ordering something that we did not really want. To add to the terrible experience the starters arrived before the drinks and it belonged to the opposite table. When the starters eventually arrived they had got the order wrong and we had finished our starters before the prosecco arrived, at this point we decided we had enough and asked for the bill and the main course to be cancelled, because the service was absolutely shocking and the waitress did not even have the decency to apologise for the stupid errors throughout. We then went to a different restaurant across the street to eat and had a more enjoyable evening.
Zizzi we don't need you. You need us the customers!
Nice restaurant & lovely good. Always enjoy going here & the staff are great too. Would recommend
Went for a romantic meal with my boyfriend. Really nice food and drinks for a good price. Would go again.
I took my mum here as she loves the carmalised onion bread starter, was thankful that it was still on the menu as they have made quite a few changes with the Autumn menu :)
We were not disappointed. I tried the new pesto pollo pizza and it was fantastic, lots of pieces of chicken, tasty creamy pasta base and cripsy crust. We also sampled the new venison pasta dish, this was warm and comforting, so a classic dish for this time of year.
Most impressive was the service, out waiter was superb, very kind, chatty an accommodating for some modifications of meals. It is very rare to see service like this in central London. Great Job! Its good that this place is open on Sundays as a few other Zizzi nearby are not.
Highly recommended! i will be returning pronto.
My friends and I made up a group of 6. I booked the table online and they were ready for us when we arrived with a friendly reception. We were seated straight away and the service was efficient and warm. We received our food quickly with no delays even though it was fairly busy. A lovely place by the River Thames for a meal with your friends. I would definitely recommend.
Restaurant was fine, however menus is really limited and nothing like its competitions.
Kids had to go and get their own activity sets as both members of staff who served us didn't bother. And half the pens were broken.
Kids pasta was tiny and was gone in seconds.
Left really disappointed (and hungry!)
food is great here, I've never had a bad meal. Good quality and not overly prices
Decent enough food. Restaurant is in slightly soulless modern surrounds.
Love the food and was lovely location
I went there on Tuesday 02/07, to have a nice dinner with my girlfriend.
The we had a bottle of wine, starter , mains and dessert. Absolutely fantastic.
The service was amazing, unfortunately I do not remember the name of the waitress who served us, but she was very friendly and helpfull.
Definitely we will come again.
The food here is good, decent pizza and pastas. The service on the evening we went was horrible. Our waiter ignored us and was completely disinterested.
The food was nice, when it eventually arrived.
My partner and I were shown to a seat where we ordered our starter straight away. This arrived within 10 minutes or so, but the waiter forgot the plates and cutlery so promised to come back... 10 minutes later, we were still waiting so decided to go without and have the starter.
About 15 minutes after finishing the starter, the waitress came round and collected the bread board and went to bring our mains out... Which took almost 25 minutes.
Overall the food was good but the service was absolutely appalling. We didn't have plates or cutlery for the starter, the mains took forever to come out, and we then had to have our sorbet desserts with a fork because no spoons were clean.
I'm disappointed because I've been here before and it was nice. This visit wasn't.
Tower hill Zizzi's is exactly what you would expect a Zizzi's to be. We had a good early evening meal here which our two children (aged 6&5) enjoyed too.
We had our New Year's Eve dinner here before the 'main event' -- a Thames cruise to watch the fireworks.
Zizzi was running a special £25 menu which offered enough choice plus Prosecco and Limoncello.
The restaurant was fairly full but we received very good service and the food came out of the kitchen quickly.
It's not fine dining exactly, but was just what we were looking for on the occasion.
The service was terrible, we waited ages for a waitress and the waitress advised us that we can only order a set meal so that she wasn't over whelmed with 8 people's orders. I argued with 2 waitresses and will never go there again. Food was ok but could have been better from the price I paid.
I often go here on my lunch break, as it's really close to our office. It's always packed at lunchtime, but the food is always nice and the staff work really hard.
Booked a table for four early Friday evening. As expected, the meal was reasonable value for money. Probably best to opt for the 'standards' - i.e. pizza or pasta. Convenient location. The dining area was spacious and not crowded. A special mention for our waitress, who was very pleasant, helpful and efficient.
Went there with one of my friends on a weekday. Food was good and service alright given it was very busy. Though we had a reservation we had to wait OUTSIDE for ten minutes in a queue like everyone else without a booking.
Excellent service but did have issues with short notice open table bookings
We went for lunch during a visit to the poppies at The Tower of London. I am so glad I booked as it was so busy and I saw maybe 30 tables turned away as there was over an hour wait. The wait staff remained efficient despite being run off their feet and the god came quickly and was great. Thank you Zizzi!
With Zizzi's you know what you're going to get. Reasonably priced Italian fare and good food. It'd always go to Zizzi's over it's competitor Pizza Express, simply because the service is so much better.
