Zizzi - Uxbridge

We hope you enjoy the eclectic feel of this restaurant.
Pre-marathon carb-loading meal so I needed it to be early (6.30 table) and not messed around by an incompetent waiter who lied about the reason for a 40+mins delay to serving our main courses. Food was functional at best. Disappointing evening, not worth the money. At least the poor service saved us the expense of dessert, more drinks and a tip. Freezing cold in there too. Much better when it was Auberge, not this soulless dump.
Mother day lunch. It was lovely
Very good service
They didn't have any record of our table booking through open table, however they did manage to find us a table.
The waiter serving us, was very nice and attentive, however the poor guy was rushed off his feet and seemed to be the only person serving. Despite this, we did have a really nice meal and the new salted caramel dessert is delish!
Great sevice good food. Will return
If only all Zizzis were in buildings like the Uxbridge one. I think that what makes this Zizzi a favourite with us. Although the staff couldn't find our booking, there was no fuss and we were seated quickly. Pizzas were great and the staff were on hand, but not too present.
If only they had a wine bar too - we'd be more frequent visitors!
A nice place with very good food and a decent atmosphere the service can be a little bit slow and i ordered a side dish that never made it (which turned out to be a good thing as i was full) but it also did not make it to the bill, make reservations ahead!
Not a good experience. Service was very slow, so much so that we had to leave before our desserts came as we had cinema tickets. Also the main course had to go back to the kitchen because it came up cold. We had left plenty of time to eat, the restaurant was not busy when we arrived but clearly the staff were not able to cope.
Went for my daughters birthday. Meals were all lovely. Service was good
Although the meal was good we did book online but they didn't give us a table at 8.30 and we had to wait another 25-30mins to get one. Very disappointed so found using open table very pointless.
Good portion sizes with reasonable prices. Great location.
We celebrated a birthday here and the staff were helpful in the group booking.
We have dined alot at Zizzi at different locations and love the menu and concept. We have always had good value and good service.
However this was not the case at Uxbridge. Small portions, long delay to main course and no one really interested in us. 6 small prawns with a £10.50 prawn salad. !!! wow. Seemed understaffed and too busy. Didnt bother to stay for desserts, went elsewhere . Took ages to get bill and I had to get up and go to 3 different card terminals before one would work. Very dissapointing. Ask and Prezzo in Uxbridge much better,
This was a very disappointing experience. After a good start of ordering our meals and drinks, we drank our Prosseco, 2 further soft drinks and ate our anti pasta.
We then had to wait an hour before I asked a waiter where our mains were. He disappeared for a further 15 minutes and then sheepishly came back and explained it would be another half an hour before we received our mains!
At this point, we along with the couple next to us in the same situation, promptly upped and left without paying.
I remember when Zizzi use to serve great food. I was so disappointed with the food how can pasta be so wrong?
Service was OK and my starter was edible however my pasta carbanara was hard and tasteless.
Twice now I have been but will be heading back to pizza xpress.
Shame that my booking through Top Table did not show up on Zizz’s booking list, but as I was informed by the host, we were lucky as they weren't busy and could fit my party of 4 in for dinner. Food was good despite the communication between Top Table and Zizz’s
Overall the meal & service was excellent. The waitress was very friendly & helpful. We were going to the cinema & so were on a deadline to leave. The food came quickly. The coffees however which should have been the quickest part took an age. This meant we had very little time to enjoy them especially as unlike most places they were actually hot which makes a change. I would like to have been able to have enjoyed the coffee. However, good value
always a joy to come to Zizzi's Uxbridge. Staff are very responsive and knowledgeable. Food always comes out at a good standard.
Good for a meal before going to the cinema. If you are running a bit close to the showing time then if you let the staff know - they will hurry your meal out (albeit with no reduction in quality).
I really like this restaurant when seated downstairs. It was a Friday night when I went with my boyfriend and it was pretty busy. We were seated upstairs where their wasn't that much ambience. Our waiter forgot about things I ask for, for example, finger bowl after eating king prawns. Also we order our meal at the exact same time as the table beside us and our main course came 20 minutes after theirs.
Met three of my friends for a catch up. Food was good. Service attentive but not overly pushy. We might have been a bit too raucous for the couples who were out for their Valentine's dinners though!
I have been to this restaurant before and had better quality food but unfortuantely, on this occasion, the risotto was very stodgy and not eaten and the Linguini had a very thin, watery sauce. It was a busy night so not sure if this was the problem but I am now put off visiting this branch again. I also booked through top table with confirmation and the restaurant had no record of my booking. However, we were offered free tea and coffee due to the standard of the food.
For a pre-cinema supper, in and out in just over an hour - it was ideal - and as I had one of their vouchers it was pretty good value for money too!
I'm a fan of Zizzi's so it's nice to go to the different branches to see if the great food and service run throughout the company and it does. It's a great place for a casual catch-up meal with friends or can be made special for that special occasion-they h e lovely sparkling wines and champagnes. As usual, the food was great, hot and fresh and the service was good.
Always good dining experience at the Uxbridge zizzi. Food was good and a great value. Although i got the parcel Zizzi fish stew and was dry and when i emptied it out on my plate there was hardly anything to it... didn't justify the price for it. But the other dishes were Ok.
I particularly like the new lower calorie options!!
We went to Zizzi's in Uxbridge. It is part of the chain. The food was as per the other restaurants in the chain. The service was not good. We were kept waiting at the start and our waiter only took our drinks order. Then for the food order, we had to wait again. Then we had to go up to the counter to get the bill.
Nice location and nice venue. Our dining cheque was not accepted here however and that needs to be communicated to all TT diners!
Good night out - Staff who served us was a bit distracted and not fully attentitive to us. Didnt know much about the orders or was helpful. We knew what we wanted anyway - food was good and good value for money. Would go back but will hope for a better waitress or waitor.
