Zizzi - Victoria
Food wasn’t that great and the service made us feel like we weren’t meant to be there in the first place.
The sea bream dish I had was unsatisfactory. The fish was dry & the green beans were frizzled. My husband's gluten free pizza was soggy & tasteless. The puddings we ordered were not available!
The waiter didn't once check whether the meal was okay!
It's a few years since we visited Zizzi. It was lovely then. This visit was very disappointing especially as we were treating a friend that evening after visiting the Queens Gallery.
Eating in Victoria, you are always going to be surrounded by people, but Zizzi's was REALLY busy. However the placement of the tables enabled us to talk to each other, without yelling. We had a very attentive waiter, but we weren't offered the "special 3 course" menu, but with so much to choose from on the main menu this might have been an added complication! We both had "hanging skewers - I had seafood, and my companion had chicken. My only downside was that the salmon lacked flavour, maybe due to under use of seasoning. The puddings were delicious... Overall a good meal at at a reasonable cost
Decent enough meal from a chain restaurant. Not knowing the area and having a fussy wife meant we had few options but overall the setting and service was good. The food was what you’d expect from a chain and decent enough.
Overall food and service were good.
However, we initially went to the restaurant as a walk-in, but were abruptly told there were no tables available and that we would have to wait an hour. I quickly went onto Opentable and booked for 10 minutes time. We then just walked in.
Excellent service, excellent food and an excellent experience. We had a range of food and all of us enjoyed our meals. Would definitely visit again
Friendly willing service but no particularly impressed by the good and gin and tonics ( think they use their own tonic which is pretty tasteless) underwhelmed overall but our waiter and waitress where nice
The garlic bread was tasty and not thick and heavy as is the case in some restaurants.
I enjoyed my usual king prawn linguine and the service by Tomek was excellent. He was friendly and helpful and made it all seem effortless!
A good pre-theatre spot as food is generally served promptly!
Food and service great. Busy theatre night, they are close to Hamilton. Always packed. Even though it's a chain, it doesn't have that feel.
Very very slow service. Quite a few people got something different from what was ordered. We came here for a pre theatre meal as I imagine a few people did but we were worried the entire time we’d be late because of how slow the service was.
We visit this restaurant every 4-6 weeks before going to the theatre as dishes arrive fairly quickly .
The food is tasty and carefully presented. Staff are usually very helpful and friendly and attentive.
On this occasion our shared starter of garlic bread took a lot longer to arrive, more than 20 minutes. It also took some time to get the bill as staff were very busy. There was some confusion and delay in producing a bill as we wanted to use our online Zizzi card.
Usually we enjoy coming to Zizzi and will continue to visit the Victoria Zizzi!
When we went the restaurant was very busy but the service, staff and food were impeccable. Great pizza, convenient location, buzzy busy atmosphere.
Excellent customer service - booked table through open table and restaurant did not have our reservation. Upon showing management my confirmation email they quickly rearranged tables to fit us in and gave us free glasses of prossecco to apologize for the inconvenience. Food was good and reasonably priced
Fantastic services with mile long smile and no waiting time. Food quality is good
We enjoyed our visit to Zizzi. We were seeing Wicked so this location was very convenient. The service was fast, food was good and overall ambiance was nice.
Just like it should be at Zizi's great food great choice. Asked for a quick service as had to be a concert by 7pm and they did not fail us
Fantastic food. Great service. Defiantly book first!
Decent food, but very slow service in this branch of Zizzi, where staff were very friendly but seemingly struggling with the crowd although it wasn't totally full. The staff made a good attempt to make up for the slow arrival of food, so I may give it another try as the food was quite good and good value.
Disappointed that I couldn't use the Tesco clubcard points at this restaurant which made it very over priced for the food received. Starter was bland and the lasagne was sloppy. Would not go again.
Salted caramel brownie was awful been In microwave too long melted sent it back . 2nd time just as bad .
Chicken and potatoes awful.
Been to their zizzi and they have been far better
Couldn't find my reservation. Took half an hour to get served. Food arrived lukewarm. Nothing more than a glorified canteen.
Nice friendly service. simple pasta and pizza but enjoyable.
excellent service and had a great time. Food well prepared and tasted great.
Fast attentive service, food served promptly and nice table reserved for us. All at quite a busy time.
Grabbed a pizza with my daughter before heading to Gatwick. Very nice food. The only spoiler is that being so child friendly you may find yourself beside a table of crying babies....as we did.
Zizzi Victoria offers good value food and a lively informal atmosphere. Good quick and efficient service
Really good place for a quick but satisfying meal wirh friends
Advice to any steak lovers and to those who would like to have a wonderful classic dinner with friends, clients or fami
Whilst they had no record of our booking, they were very accommodative to us, it's a great place for disabled wheelchair users with a nearby accessible toilet. Back here in just over a week.
Disappointed to find the spaghetti carbonara non-authentic, slightly spicy and with oily residue at bottom of dish; could not eat much of it. However, classic margherita was perfect.p
Open table did not succeed to make the reservation for me. Zizi said your reservations are effected sometimes very slow and could not be seen on time. Luckily there was an empty table and we could have the dinner.
Nice ambiance and friendly staff, although I would not say this is the best Zizzi's I've eaten at: the restaurant was very busy even at 6.30pm on a Wednesday. When we arrived our waitress only half did up our table so that we were left without cutlery, we had to ask someone to take our drinks order after 15 minutes of waiting, and we had to ask another waiter to clear our plates away. I am fairly young (22 yrs old) and often experience slower service as a result of my age when eating out, but was especially unimpressed at the disorganisation of the staff at this restaurant. On a more positive note, the pizzas we ordered were very good.
Often go for a quick catch up after work. Food is fresh and the service friendly.
Can't go wrong. Menu varied, food fresh and staff friendly
I booked this for a business lunch and was pleasantly surprised that we were able to have our lunch without the usual over-fussing that you get by the staff in some restaurants. The food was good and hot and although the restaurant was packed and the tables quite close together, we were able to talk without feeling like others were listening in on our conversation. There was a bit of a delay in getting food to us but this was not a major problem and we were able to be in and out in under the hour. Very impressed.
We arrived and they didn't have our booking despite an email the previous day. There was no apology they just said you are not on the list and we have no room. We left and went to wagamammas who were extremely accommodating
Always a good option for a value for money Italian meal with friends.Service high standard considering how full the restaurant was.
Enjoyed a nice lunch here with a friend from work. Pizza was great, though not sure about prawn pizza option, which we didn't choose?! Good service that was quick - always a plus point during a lunch break from work. Only criticism was pizza wasn't pre-cut into slices, and knives provided weren't really up to the job, so we both felt we had to work hard for our food! Not been to Zizzi in years, but they've definitely still got it!
I am disgusted that I booked a table through this website and then when I arrived at the restaurant they were closed for refurb! I took my sister out for the day in London for her birthday and we were really excited to go and eat there and then had the disappointment. So we ended up going to nandos... I am very disappointed with this service and needless to say I will NOT be booking with you ever again.
