Best Bars And Lounges in Castle Cary

We had a lovely lunch! The food was very good and my kids enjoyed playing while we were waiting for the food. The server was very nice also. Totally recommended!

I always find something from the healthier options and my husband always finds something big and beefy with nicely crisped chips, which I steal. Our ancient dog is given a bowl of water and offered his own menu. Thankfully, we are allowed in the air conditioned dining room, which is preferable for dogs as well as humans in these exceptional temperatures. Bill's is one of my favourites, enhanced by cheerful and obliging staff.

It's a beautiful setting and we were there on a hot sunny evening. The sunsets there are spectacular and we were looked after excellently by Will who was attentive and very pleasant. We were celebrating two wedding anniversaries and they kindly sent us a small selection of sweet treats at the end of the meal which was a lovely touch. One small issue was that they did not have a wine which was on their menu which is disappointing in a place of this calibre. It should have been marked as "not available" if they'd run out instead of Will having to go and trawl the cellar. Otherwise a very pleasant evening. Menu is limited which I don't mind and the food is well presented and of the quality and variety you'd expect in a decent pub. We will definitely return as we're local.

Went on a Sunday evening, great variety of burgers and sides on the menu, all cooked to order. We ere made to feel very welcome, the food and drinks were reasonable priced, really enjoyed the experience and will definitely go back

Amazing place! Cannot believe it wasn’t busy. It’s a cool little cocktail bar below Bar Beau/The Elder. The cocktails were delicious - even one created especially for us on the fly. The server/barman was so friendly but was happy to leave us be to gossip and catch up. We loved it!
