Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Havre De Grace

This local neighborhood restaurant was exactly what I needed on a Saturday evening. Friendly smiles greeted me as I walked in the door… feeling like I was walking into someone’s home. Friendly and low key server and waitstaff. Incredible food and wine too… I’ll be back!

This was our first visit to Michael’s and we were very satisfied. I am in a large wheelchair that sometimes it’s hard to maneuver with a lot of people around, and my husband is hard of hearing. The host is at us in a room where there were not any other people, and it was perfect for us. Our waitress was very helpful and her service was impeccable. Out of the four of us, three have excellent meals. Two people got salmon. They felt the one prepared with blackened seasoning was the winner of the two. I got the scallops with I believe was squash and pumpkin, and it was excellent. My son ordered some type of chicken sandwich, which I’m actually surprised he ordered to begin with. He said it was too spicy and ended up taking half of it home. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to returning.

If you’re looking for that special place with great food and professional service Backfin Blues is that place. The chef is outstanding and the service makes you feel right at home. I can’t wait to go back.
