A quiet mid-week visit tonight to Sonny D’s at the lake was a good choice not just for the food but also the service. The chopped salad and chicken parmigiana were excellent and in portions that guaranteed we wouldn’t leave hungry. But the service made the evening — our server was delightful and she helped steer us through beverage and good choices that were hits. Even the back waiter who brought us our meals was knowledgeable, friendly and at a young age clearly understood the elements of good guest service. Kudos to management for taking care of both sides of the guest experience.
