I come here every time I am in Germany. It is a treat and a pleasure to eat here. Food is too tier. The burrata salad sounds humble but is unforgettable. The iberico is cooked to perfection, so tender and delicious!

Located in the heart of the Black Forrest the air feels and smells clean. The view from the elevated terrace is breathtaking with a field and large open space. Romantic lighting with a charming atmosphere. The owners are so knowledgeable of the area and are incredibly kind with special attention to what type of food I wanted. I am a celiac so I though I would be difficult but no ... Victor the chef / owner happens to be gluten intolerant so the whole menu except for 2 types of bread is gluten free. Victor sources his ingredients from local farms and is verv particular about quality. Best meal so far on my European trip. You wouldn't expect that after visiting Paris.

We ordered the surprise menu. The food and service were excellent. We started with an outstanding local Konstanz sparkling wine. The wine list is deep and wide covering many regions in and outside Europe. We chose a lovely Pinot Noir from the Pfalz. The dinner began with a selection of amuse bouches that were delicious. The steak tartar was the best we have ever had, beautifully seasoned and presented. The Risotto with octopus was fantastic, creamy, rich, tender. The medallions of chicken with spinach, potato pancake, and a rich sauce were good. We live in California. We dined at Papageno in November. Came back this June. Will come again. Highly recommended.
