The Rabbits is a family friendly gastro pub & restaurant in the heart of the essex countryside. We pride ourselves on good friendly service and good quality homecooked food with our seasonal menus, we serve real ales, fine wines & premium spirits. We have a great beer garden where you can take in the picturesque views whilst not having to go too far to order any food or drink as this can all be done at our garden bar which is also playing background music around our garden, this is open Thurs-Sunday throughout the spring/summer weather permitting. We take great care in sourcing our produce direct from the best suppliers both locally and abroad. Our menu is a mix of classic crowd pleasers and regularly changing seasonal dishes, which means you'll always find something to tempt your taste buds (even if you're in every day!).We are a pub, not a cocktail bar and while we make a blinding Bloody Mary, and will happily mix you an Aperol Spritz or Negroni, we don't do Pina Coladas.     Went for Sunday Lunch, group of 8 at 13:00... the pork terrine, i think it was called hogs head terrine? was so good... have to start the review iwth that was amazing, do not miss that!!!! order it by the time we left there were people at the bar having fish and chips and burgers that looked good too i had pork roast it was amazing potatoes so crispy but pillowy inside waitstaff was super friendly and helpful sides were all done family style and that was very nice (except your yorkshire pudding of course and greens) the greens were actually really good and fresh tasting not all mushy and over cooked i asked for more gravy and they brought me a lovely boat for myself, no charge for it... drinks were nice place was nice, cute old school bar up front but when you walk back into the restaurant it was very posh and modern
