We had a delightful meal yesterday evening at the Pear & Olive. Josh is an excellent chef. My Pan Roasted Cod was the best I’ve ever tasted and cooked to perfection. My partner just loves the Steak Frites. Service from Jade and Imogen is attentive, friendly and efficient. We can always be assured of high quality food in a relaxed atmosphere.

My friend and I both had the lamb tagine and it was absolutely delicious and I'm fussy! Plenty of meat and a lovely selection of perfectly cooked veg on top. I will definitely recommend to everyone and will be back!

No matter how many times we eat here it always delivers. Menu surprises and tweaks so a dish we loved last time (sardines) was elevated again and fresh. The side dishes are divine. Great atmosphere, perfect hosting by James and the team. Unparalleled excellence in the area. I only wish I could go for lunch every day of the week!

The best food I have eaten in years. We were staying in the village of Stanhoe, popped in Friday night for adrink and had a fabulous lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Staff, service ambience etc all excellent. Could not have felt more welcome. Nothing more to say other than the Bar could be a little bigger

Food is always exceptional, and tonight was no different. Perfectly and beautifully served, with friendly waiting colleagues. Excellent value for money with 2 or 3 course options. Good selection of wines - again very reasonable. Highly recommend.
