Named after a famous five-star hotel in Kathmandu, Yak and Yeti aims to provide diners with truly authentic flavours. With its super-friendly staff and fresh Nepalese/Indian/Tibetan cuisine, Yak and Yeti is a fun and affordable restaurant with wooden floors, a relaxing bar and a warm red and orange colour scheme. The crowd is a nice mix of locals and curry-lovers who keep coming back for the additive-free healthy fare. Favourites include the pokhareli lamb and gurkhali chicken and the momos – Nepali dumplings made with minced lamb. And because so many of the Nepalese are vegetarian, the menu includes a great variety of vegetarian dishes. Yak and Yeti has a very affordable house wine, but we recommend accompanying your meal down with a nice cold Kathmandu beer.

Cooking and creating a new dish is my passion. It was inside me from a very little age when I was a young boy. It came on me from my mother who is a very well known cook in our small city.My origin is from Nepal and there is a culture like system that every Nepali should be Gurkhas Army for Great Britain, but I was not among them to be a Gurkhas because of that I was unable to take a decision what next I'm going to be in future. When I came to England I started working as a chef de partie in a seafood restaurant but inside me there was something to create our own food which I wanted to introduce in different part of the world. So from CURRY LEAVES RESTAURANT I will create my own new recipes and provide a variety of South Asian food to food lovers.
