I really enjoyed them. Waitress brought my main to the table whilst I was eating them, along with my companions mains. I would have like a bit more of a gap between courses, as this felt rushed, however this is something easily remedied. I had the mussels for mains. Again they were really well cooked, with a light broth which was very garlicky, I really liked the addition of samphire too. My friends had the fish and chips which was very good, and the seafood salad, which was fine but I think presentation wise that it looked much more impressive on a flat plate, as shown on website, rather than a deep bowl. The wine list was quite short, and my friend had set her heart on a wine she had seen on website, (Chapel Down) but this wasn’t available. I am not a fan of Prosecco but we chose this, as we wanted some fizz, and I have to say that it was the best Prosecco I’ve ever had. The NZ Sauvignon we had was also very good. Puddings were good and we were given a large portion of brownie, gratis, as it was our birthdays. This was beautifully presented by the friendly staff. We stayed for well over the allotted time allowed for our table and the whole afternoon was very relaxed and enjoyable. I would be happy to return and look forward to more oysters next time!More infoThe Seafood Shack££££• Seafood• Southend-On-Sea•4.1

- CChrisLondon •4 reviews5.0Dined on 9 May 2026Fantastic second experience at the Seafood Bar. The fish was wonderfully fresh and perfectly cooked and we really enjoyed the ambience in the restaurant. Particular recognition to the waiting staff for doing such a great job in looking after us in an unrushed way. While we did not make it to to cocktail bar downstairs due to a lack of time, it seemed to have a real buzz. We can see how the combined arrangements of walk-ins and reservations work so well for the restaurant. Will definitely return again and continue to recommend to family and friends.More infoThe Seafood Bar££££• Seafood• Soho•4.2
