Best Pizza Bars in San Mateo

Great place to have dinner with friends before a show or to just sit at at the bar for a cocktail and a bite. Festive ambiance, central location, and consistently excellent service. Food is reliably good everytime, especially the calamari, linguini with clams, and the branzino. Well varied quality wine list and well crafted cocktails. Last night we were headed to the Warfield; the server was so attentive and made sure we got out in time. Bartender walked a second cocktail to our table and gave it to me gratis when there was some confusion about the first order. This has been a go-to place for us for a while and we always have a good time here.

Our Italian family has been searching for our new spot ever since Carpaccio in Menlo Park closed. We finally found it. Food is excellent! Service is excellent! Menu variety is great, cocktails are great, ambiance is comfortable and entertaining. Pricing is on par and actually a great value for the quality of food and service. Parking is a bit of a challenge. I LOVE this place.

Yummy pizza! Great salads! Close to the park and museums so an easy walk.

Had a great birthday dinner here. They were attentive, the food and drinks were delicious, and they made my friend’s birthday extra special. A server even walked after us when we left because one of us left our glasses there. Very nice place!
