I don’t know if the app and pictures properly represent what a wonderful restaurant this is. I was impressed with every aspect of the place. Service was excellent. Food was terrific. Pricing is very fair comparatively. If I had to nitpick one thing it would be that the Arancini’s need some kind of marinara sauce served with it. They were yummy without it, but that’s literally the only thing I could think of. I highly recommend and will be back.

What a wonderful menu! Top notch service in a nifty old pub. My trout was delicious and my wife’s ratatouille was the best she’s ever had. We’ll definitely be back!

This was the first time my wife and I dined at 1878 and it won’t be the last. Started with the crab cake and it was delicious. My wife had the salmon and I had the tomahawk pork chop. Both were great and the only issue I had was the “steak” knife provided was more like a butter knife. Still managed and it was tasty.

We had an early dinner reservation for a party of 6. The restaurant was quiet and the staff attentive. The food was the highlight. Our party sampled the squash bisque, the skate special, the salmon and burger. We had mashed potatoes, asparagus and carrots for the side dishes. Everything was well prepared, seasoned and presented. Chef Matt visited our table a couple of times for feedback. We enjoyed all of the food and would highly recommend the restaurant.

Loved everything about our visit, food was delicious, service was wonderful. We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner! Not sure why it took us over 20 years to get here!! Definitely will be back! We started with the Petite Filet Mignon Crisps which were excellent. Shared the Beet Salad, loved it! I had the 6oz filet, my husband had the Bouillabaisse. He asked for no salmon and added fettuccine which was not a problem at all. They're very willing to change things up for you. I enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner and a wonderful cup of coffee with dessert! Definitely an enjoyable evening, never felt rushed!
