Lovely food and more realistically priced drinks than over the road. The bar was busy when we left but a real pity the government has priced working people out of their Saturday night meal out for the most.

Wonderful landlady greeted our family and showed us our table. Quickly given main menu as an alternative to the set menu we’d booked with, then brought out bread and butter while we decided on food and drinks. A bit slow on taking drink orders for the whole table and then slow again with service between courses, however we were aware of them having short staff and they managed this brilliantly. Having been a last minute Mother's Day booking, we were all very impressed with the atmosphere as despite it being super Sunday and football being on all screens, it was fairly quiet and the main landlady/hostess was so friendly and attentive! The food was absolutely fantastic, everyone cleared their plates and thoroughly enjoyed the meal, plus it was all very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning!
