Outstanding. Food was superb, and lovely that they included little extra courses and snacks in amongst the already reasonably sized portions. Each full of flavour. Particularly like that they had so many local and homemade additions to the menu and drinks selection - including locally sourced wines. The servers were friendly and passionate about what they did which made the experience a 10 out of 10.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful evening at The Ivy in Exeter celebrating a very special family occasion — our twins’ 24th birthday, as well as Lily and Harry heading off on their worldwide adventure. There were six of us and we had a fantastic private dining area, which made the evening feel incredibly special. The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was perfect and the food was absolutely amazing from start to finish. A particular mention has to go to Sebastian, who looked after us superbly throughout the evening. He was attentive, friendly and professional, and really helped make the whole occasion feel special without ever being intrusive. Everything about the evening was first class. The Ivy Exeter provided the perfect setting for a celebration we’ll remember for a very long time. Thank you to Sebastian and the whole team for making it such a beautiful evening. We couldn’t have asked for more and will most definitely be back. Highly recommended!

The food here is the best in Exeter! I came with my Son the evening before his 21st birthday for a culinary treat! The food did not disappoint! It was a quiet night (only 1 other diner) the only thing that that we didn’t enjoy hearing was the waitress moaning a lot and loudly to the kitchen about her shifts, which was a shame because her service was actually really good! Food was a 10/10

We had a really enjoyable meal at Dottie’s. The restaurant has a relaxed, stylish atmosphere and the service was warm, attentive and genuinely friendly throughout. The Devon calamari with cider tartare was fresh, crisp and full of flavour, while the cheddar and chive arancini were rich, comforting and perfectly cooked. The food was well presented and reasonably priced for the quality. It felt like a proper Exeter restaurant rather than a typical hotel dining room. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal in the city centre.
