A lovely chilled all round experience. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly team, I felt like I was at home in my lounge!

I have quite a tricky relationship with mussels. I absolutely adore them — but only when they’re prepared properly. There should be no unpleasant smell whatsoever, and the sauce needs to be made with good-quality cream and wine. I honestly can’t think of another place in the UK, not just on the Isle of Wight, that comes close to the mussels Baywatch serves at its summer dinners. They are genuinely exceptional. Definitely come and try them for yourself — you won’t be disappointed.
