Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Old West Austin

Lutie’s was absolutely outstanding. The pear salad, quail, and chicken were out of this world. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The setting is elegant, intimate, and incredibly romantic. Mary gave Lutie’s a 5 out of 5, which is not easy to earn! She absolutely loved the entire experience. Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, and a truly memorable evening. Easily one of our favorite dining experiences in Austin. We’ll definitely be back!

We love this place. The food is wonderful (everything we ordered was delicious), the staff is attentive and friendly and the environment is cozy, fun and allows for conversation - without having to talk loudly or having difficulty in hearing a conversation. This was our second time returning to the Salty Sow and it was just as wonderful as the first time. We highly recommend.

We went with a group and were able to get different dishes to share. Order the biscuits for an app! You won’t be disappointed. Also, my favorite dish was the fried chicken. So good!

The Austin Restaurant Week Experience was fantastic. The food was presented stunningly and promptly. The drinks were delightful and one of the best meals I’ve had while dining out recently. The staff was friendly and polite and the overall atmosphere was whimsical, lovely while being chic. I would definitely recommend. I can’t wait to come back.
