This restaurant has two different dining rooms each feeding unique and magical. We started in the bar enjoying their happy hour - cocktails and appetizers tasted sophisticated and delicious. Then we moved to the other dining room which is really beautifully designed to have dinner. The most outstanding part of the experience was the service, the interactions felt really genuine. Special thanks to Jordan who really enjoys his job.

An Exceptional Lunch at Makoto - 5 Stars! My wife, daughter, and I had a wonderful dining experience at Makoto yesterday for lunch. All three of us work at the Bal Harbour Shops where Makoto is located, so we have a relatively short window for lunch, and the team could not have been more accommodating. Our server, Javaris, was absolutely outstanding and went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless experience. He completely empathized with our time crunch and made sure our Spicy Edamame appetizer arrived almost immediately. Our Bento Boxes then arrived perfectly on time, which allowed us plenty of time to actually dine together as a family and enjoy each other's company in such an amazing restaurant. The Bento Box itself is a fantastic value - it includes miso soup, salad, the signature Makoto rice, and a choice of sushi or salmon with Brussels sprouts. The salmon is topped with fish roe and is a truly delicious treat. The sushi is fresh and amazing. To top it off, Hector, the restaurant manager, visited our table twice to ensure we were having a seamless and memorable experience. Such attentive service and authentic hospitality is exactly why we all confidently recommend Makoto to our esteemed clients at Bal Harbour Shops. We will be back very soon! We had a fantastic meal and topped it off with the ice cream sushi roll for dessert. Our server was excellent and offered great suggestions for drinks and dinner. I recommend this restaurant and we will be back.

Very nice place with live music and a twist next door
