Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Kalispell

Herb & Omni in Whitefish was an absolutely wonderful dining experience from beginning to end every time. We started at the bar with the caviar potato chips and ice-cold Chopin martinis—and honestly, that alone would be worth going back for. Such a perfect combination. Once seated, the food continued to impress. The duck was to die for—beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The halibut served over a corn purée was delicate, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The tomato and ricotta salad was fresh and wonderful, and the Dungeness crab cake was perfection—exactly what a crab cake should be. And then there is the restaurant itself. Beautifully appointed interiors, warm and sophisticated without feeling overly formal. Every detail feels intentional and creates such a lovely atmosphere. Herb & Omni is a wonderful addition to Whitefish and a restaurant we always return to. Exceptional food, beautiful surroundings, and a memorable evening from the first martini to the last bite. ❤️

Enjoyed two meals at the restaurant, food and service were excellent. House special Old Fashion and wine by the glass selection top notch. Our server was friendly, professional and very helpful. The Bolognese with Game meat and the Artic Char were delicious. The Waldorf beat salad was very well done. As good or better than the other restaurants we visited downtown.

Excellent mountain restaurant! Intimate space with great ambience and excellent food. After staying in Jackson Hole and Yellowstone for two weeks, this was by far the best food and most professional staff we experienced. Many thanks to our server, Juliette, and our host, William! We dined here twice and highly recommend the pasta with elk sausage, the pork chop, and the meatloaf (seriously, try it!).

Great food, great service. Unfortunately, we booked an 11 AM early lunch only to show up and be told that the restaurant was closed. Apparently they have changed their hours and it’s only open for dinner, at least on Monday. Good news was that the attached casino and Bahr were open and they share the same cook so we ate at the bar from the same menu and the food and service were spectacular.
