Best Seasonal Restaurants in West Hartford

We booked this reservation after exploring options for a romantic location to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It is very clear why this restaurant has been awarded “Most Romantic” several times. The location is beautiful, and the experience begins as soon as you walk across the “Kissing Bridge” to enter the restaurant. The inside is warm and inviting and decorated seasonally. The hostesses were extremely friendly and were sure to all wish us a happy anniversary as we had provided that in the information when securing the booking. We were seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the fountain in the water, the deck illuminated with lights and heating lamps, and quickly greeted by our server, Kelsey, who was beyond incredible. The menu is phenomenal and everything is prepared beautifully. We enjoyed the seafood tower and fried calamari appetizers, both of which were fantastic. The entrees, scallops and braised short rib special were both delicious. Food came out quickly and tasted amazing. For dessert we enjoyed the warm chocolate cake which was absolutely phenomenal. Kelsey brought us out two glasses of champagne and cream puffs and again wished us a happy anniversary. Everything was perfect and we had a fantastic meal and evening. We have definitely found a new go-to spot for all future celebrations!

Our first time. Didn’t know what to expect other than it’s rating a a few reviews. Everything was beyond expectations. We eat out a lot and we like and choose higher end restaurants. This was a great experience. Can’t wait to go again.

This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time which was a pleasant surprise. Service and ambiance were great but the food was terrific. Mussels appetizer was very unique and outstanding but our two main dishes were even better. The pork chop recommended by our server was one of the best I ever had and my wife’s swordfish was also delicious. We were both so happy and satisfied with this meal. I highly recommended this restaurant.

It was our first time they were meeting some people we didn’t know, and it was a perfect environment.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Artisan and truly enjoyed every part of the evening. The outdoor setting was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was both attentive and remarkably efficient. What made the evening even more special were the thoughtful little touches for our anniversary, including “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate on our dessert plates and a complimentary dessert. It was such a lovely and unexpected gesture, and we really appreciated it. Everyone who took care of us was warm, attentive, and welcoming. It was our first visit to Artisan, but definitely not our last. We had a delightful evening and look forward to coming back!
