This restaurant is outstanding in every regard. From the moment you sit down and the professional, knowledgeable staff greets you to the delicious and unique cocktails served in vintage glassware. Then wait till you taste the food; you are in for a unique treat. Every single item I have tried on this menu is outstanding. Also, one of the greatest things about Abaca is that it is located in one of the best hotels in the city, the Kimpton Alton. I always tell myself I should stay in a different neighborhood and try other hotels and restaurants, but it’s just so hard when this one is so great. I can’t recommend the hotel and restaurant highly enough.

Wednesday evening, my wife and I were visiting San Francisco with family via the Ferry. I had heard about La Mar Cocina previously so checked that we could make last minute reservations. We arrived about thirty minutes early to a packed restaurant. They were able to seat us early, which we appreciated. Once the menus arrived at to the table, I asked our Server if they happen to have Spanish menus as our two family members did not speak English. He kindly said it was not available, but it’s ok, as he described some of the menu items in Spanish. After we ordered, drinks, appetizers and main courses arrived promptly. Service was outstanding. Also, each time our Server visited our table, spoke with us in both English and Spanish, creating a truly welcoming experience. As for the meal, we enjoyed Pisco Sour’s, IPA beers with homemade potato/plantain chips and dip, the Clasico Cebiches, Lomo Saltado, Planchaza La Mar, and ended the meal sharing the Tres Leches De Coco and Chocolate Cake for dessert. Overall outstanding, service, vibe, food and beverages, thank you!

The staff was amazing and very accommodating. We will definitely be back. Food was 10/10 and everyone enjoyed their meal. They gave us free champagne to celebrate our friends recent engagement as well.

    Scoma’s at Fisherman’s Wharf has become one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco. Every visit feels special, and it’s one of those places I’m always happy to return to. The seafood is exceptional—fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The drinks are wonderful, and the service is truly outstanding. The staff are warm, attentive, and welcoming, which makes the entire experience even more enjoyable. There’s something about sitting at Scoma’s, enjoying great seafood and a delicious drink, while taking in the classic Fisherman’s Wharf atmosphere that makes it feel quintessentially San Francisco. I absolutely love this restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal, excellent seafood, wonderful drinks, and genuinely great service. Scoma’s will always be one of my San Francisco favorites! ❤️🦀🐟🍸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
