My son brought me to Sage & Salt to celebrate a belated birthday dinner. This was one of the very best meals l have eaten since moving to Winston Salem from the Washington, DC area 20 years ago. One of the other very best dinners is when my son and daughter brought me to Sage and Salt last year for my birthday dinner. We started with cocktails and 2 appetizers: Steak Tartare and Mussels. Both were delicious and a good start to an outstanding dinner. My son ordered the Rainbow Trout and l ordered the Filet. Sometimes when we order medium rare steak it comes over cooked. This Filet was perfect and so tasty. His Rainbow Trout was also great. We were treated to a complementary ‘to die for’ piece of decadent chocolate cake to share in celebration of my birthday. I highly recommend Sage & Salt for special occasions or when you want delicious food.

Ashley was AMAZING. My sister and I really enjoyed talking with her. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave the best customer service. I will be back. The food was awesome I had the soy ginger salmon and a s’mores dessert for my starter everything was delicious.

50 characters is NOT enough to describe how incredible this place is. My fiancé & I have been here THREE TIMES in 6 months, and each time we are blown away. This is truly the only place where we both leave smiling because the food is THAT incredible. And the service? Outstanding. Maja & her team always make us feel welcome, recommend wines & dishes, and make sure to say goodbye before we leave. The Gaslight On Main is the most phenomenal restaurant I have been to in a LONG time. Thanks for making us feel at home every time we walk through the doors🫶🏼
