My friends were raving about the ambiance, the service, the food, and said it is now a favorite restaurant. It's always been mine. They had the seafood special and the duck while I had the Peppered Steak. Our food was outstanding - preparation, flavors, and quality. Definitely a must if you are in the Longboat Key area. Also, do not want to forget the delicious desserts in The Haye Loft upstairs of the main restaurant. The young woman at the hostess stand was wonderfully pleasant and seated us right away. Petar was our server and was terrific right from the start. Brought us water right away and took our drink order when we were ready. I had the Miss Sunshine and my husband had the Baja Margarita. Both were excellent. We started with the Goat Cheese Dip and it was DELICIOUS. For lunch I had the Chicken and Mango salad and was grateful for Petar’s suggestion to have the chicken blackened. The salad was chock full of goodies and very satisfying. It was dressed perfectly with the right amount of the lemon basil vinaigrette. My husband had the jerk chicken sandwich, which he really liked. The fries that accompanied it were good but they could be made better with a flavorful seasoning. The best part of our meal was that we were not rushed by our server at all. We could just enjoy everything in a leisurely fashion.
