Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in South Hills

We had a wonderful experience and our server, David was fantastic and made it a table of 3 David’s! We had a really good time & we will return!

We went for cocktails and Oktoberfest food. I go every year multiple times for Oktoberfest food. Their German potato salad is better than any of the German restaurants in the city. Their Paprikash chicken - They call it "Parika Handel" is just like my great grandmothers! I come from a very traditional German town and family. Really love that they are into making and changing (experimenting) with their cocktail selections. Very pleased. Also love that they have such a loyal community crowd and a nice patio. Wish I could recall our servers name, he was great.

Pizzaiolo Primo is the place to go for casual Italian in Market Square (and in downtown Pittsburgh). Food is consistently good. My wife loves their Eggplant Parmesan...it is her "go to" dish here. This visit I enjoyed the Diavola Pizza. We started with the Zucchini Fritti which is always excellent. Their pasta dishes and chicken entree's are also favorites of ours. Portions are very generous (think leftovers) and the service is always attentive. Our server this time was Savannah. She told us she was new to the job, but she did a great job handling our table and checking in routinely to see if we needed anything. We live two blocks away and consider Pizzaiolo Primo a neighborhood gem!
