- WWillNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoPLONK was my partner and I's favorite restaurant experience in Mexico City - hands down! The entire team was kind, knowledgeable and genuinely excited about the food they were presenting. They were also patient with our broken Spanish - even taking the time to teach us some new words. The food was fantastic - every dish we had was perfection - the Spicy Udon, Catch of the Day Ceviche & Passion Fruit Pannacotta were particular favorites. A red wine was suggested to us and it paired perfectly with the meal. We sat at the bar which gives you a behind-the-scenes view of the kitchen and we even had a chance to chat with the Lead Chef Flor - she was great! The ambiance/vibe is spot on - not too loud, not too quiet and the crowd was very chill/not pretentious. We will definitely be back!More infoPLONK$$$$• International• Condesa / Roma•4.7

- BBrhayanNew York City •3 reviews5.0Dined on 24 May 2026Today I went to Propio and honestly loved everything. I got the Parker House roll, the ostiones campechanos, the birria short rib, and the costilla de pork belly. The Parker House roll was incredibly soft and honestly so delicious with the butter. The birria short rib was really tender and packed with flavor, and the pork belly was tender while still having a great texture. Every dish felt super thoughtful and balanced while still being comforting. One thing I highly recommend is asking to sit at the chef’s counter. Being able to watch the team work in such a beautiful open kitchen made the whole experience even better. The pacing, the attention to detail, and the energy of the kitchen were honestly amazing to watch. It felt intimate without being pretentious. As someone who loves gastronomy, this was one of those meals that reminds you why restaurants can be so special. Definitely one of my favorite meals I’ve had in CDMX so far. What made the experience even better was that at the end of the meal the chef came up to me personally and asked me what I thought about everything. You can really tell how much care and passion goes into both the food and the hospitality there. Those small interactions are what make a restaurant memorable, and Propio absolutely delivered that for me.More infoPropio$$$$• International• Condesa / Roma•4.7
