    The Mooring was the perfect spot to kick off our visit to Newport! The outside, covered patio overlooking the harbor and boats was nothing short of spectacular. Candice, our server from Texas, was as pleasant as could be, as well as friendly and efficient. We started with the truffle kettle chips with onion dip, which were fabulous. My husband enjoyed a lobster roll. I thought the Barada and beet salad with fresh local greens and grilled shrimp was the best salad, I’ve had all summer. We highly recommend everything about our experience! Five stars!

    My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by experiencing the blind 5 course meal. We are both adventurous with food and the chef and staff exceeded our dining expectations is every way. The food and wine pairing were on another level. It was worth every cent paid. We will be back for her birthday this winter.
