OUR STORYBagheera was born from a love of two places that feel very much like home – the mountains and lakes of South India and the fells and lakes of Cumbria. For years, we have welcomed locals and visitors to Keswick through their restaurants, sharing their passion for good food, warm hospitality and memorable experiences. With Bagheera, we wanted to create something different – a place where the vibrant flavours of South India meet the relaxed charm of the Lake District. Our breakfast menu is inspired by the cafés, homes and street food stalls of South India and Keswick . Every recipe has been thoughtfully adapted for Keswick, using quality local ingredients and aromatic South Indian spices that are rich in flavour, not heat.Whether you're setting off for a day on the fells, exploring the town, or simply enjoying a leisurely brunch with friends, we hope you'll discover something new and delicious. From our family to yours, welcome to Bagheera.George & Meera

An unforgettable evening – and that bread!! Tucked away in a beautiful location in Keswick, Cabin in the Woods is one of those places that turns a dinner into a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely passionate about what they were serving. Every course came with its own little story, beautifully explained by the team, making the whole evening feel like a culinary journey rather than just a meal. And the food? Absolutely exquisite. Course after course, we were treated to incredible flavours, beautifully presented dishes and combinations that just worked perfectly. Each plate somehow managed to build on the last. But I have to give a special mention to THE BREAD! I never thought I’d be writing a restaurant review in which the bread deserves its own paragraph, but here we are. Quite simply, some of the best bread we’ve ever eaten. Out of this world good, and honestly worth a visit for that alone! Combine the exceptional food with the wonderful staff and stunning location, and you have all the ingredients for a fantastic evening. We left with full stomachs, big smiles and a new appreciation for just how memorable a piece of bread can be. An absolutely fantastic experience. We can’t wait to return!

We struggled to book anywhere in Keswick that would takes 10 people; this restaurant did take our booking and it was a great find. The menu wasn’t big, but had something for all our tastes; we were asked to pre-order which we were more than happy to do. The food looked great, tasted delicious, was piping hot, and all courses & portions were a good size. The front of house team looked after us really well throughout our meal. We would highly recommend eating at this restaurant.
