Everything was great for our anniversary celebration. Matt is always so gracious and Karen did a great job of waiting on us. The food was great. I had the gnocchi and my husband had the risotto. We shared a beet, apple, burrata salad to start. I love the lighting and piano as the background music. Very elegant and relaxing.

Another consistently great meal with outstanding service!

It was an unusually quiet Saturday night, but the weekends after Labor Day are typically pretty quiet everywhere...Chicago in particular. We love Chop Shop in Holland. The best consistent service and food quality. Highly recommend the Filet de Mer for newbies to taste their steak and seafood, crab cakes are a favorite and the salmon and meatloaf en croute are also very good. Just be warned that the sides are enough for 2 or 3 people, so plan accordingly. It's the only thing that I'd recommend the restaurant change. We'd like to sample more than one, but couldn't possibly consume it all. Maybe they could look into that? I'd strongly urge trying the Dauphinoise potatoes and take the leftovers...they're great with eggs the next day. The wait staff at this restaurant is also superior to all others in the area as well as the ambiance. You can actually have a decent conversation in the booths...if that's important, avoid the normally lively bar scene. The restaurant is small and wonderful for intimate dinners.

Food was great server was even better….we sat outside it was a nice evening all the way around.
